Argentina forward Alejo Véliz is being followed by AC Milan.

Alejo Véliz could soon be playing in Europe. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan are following the Argentina U20 and Rosario Central forward.

The 19 year old has 11 goals in 22 matches with Rosario Central in the league and had three goals with the Argentina U20 national team at the U20 World Cup.

Italy coach Roberto Mancini is looking at Argentine fowrard Lucas Beltrán.

Roberto Mancini spoke about how they are monitoring the 22 year old forward. The Italian coach was quoted by DSportsRadio as saying the following:

“We are following him like so many players. For now, nothing has been resolved.”

Lucas Beltrán has 11 goals and three assists in 24 matches with River Plate this season.

Mancini has already called up Argentine born Mateo Retegui who made his debut with the Italian national team earlier this year.

Lautaro Martínez comments on rejecting Saudi Arabia bid

Lautaro Martínez spoke about rejecting a bid to go play in Saudi Arabia.

Martínez and Inter are presently in Japan and played against Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia. The Argentine had reportedly received offers to go play in Saudi Arabia but has rejected them. Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, here is what he had to say:

“Offers from Saudi Arabia? It’s true, the huge proposals have arrived. But I’m happy at Inter and happy in Milan. I have no reason to change and my family thinks like me.”

“I’m the captain here, Inter is my second home. I feel loved here since day one and I’m proud to be here.

“Why do so many young people go to Saudi Arabia? It’s a lot of money, but in the end it depends on the person. I chose this (to reject the offer) because I want to continue playing at a high level.

“I’m already thinking about preparing well for the next Copa América and the World Cup with the National Team.”

Premier League Argentine players in pre-season

A few Argentine players took part in matches on Wednesday as part of pre-season with their Premier League clubs.

Julián Álvarez started for Manchester City in their 2-1 win vs. Bayern Munich. The 23 year old did not score but did play the first half before being substituted at half time.

Máximo Perrone was brought on as a substitute in Manchester City’s win, being brought on for Bernardo Silva after 72 minutes.

Cristian Romero started Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-1 win vs. Lion City Sailors. Romero was substituted out at half time as part of several changes.

Giovani Lo Celso scored his second goal in pre-season for Tottenham Hotspur. The ball fell to him in the penalty area and he would score from close range. He was brought on as a substitute at half time.

Lo Celso did not start the match for Tottenham but did get a goal as he continues his great form in pre-season. The Argentine was brought on as a substitute at half time and scored his second goal of pre-season from close range.

Cristian Romero did start for Tottenham but was substituted out at half time as part of the several changes done by the coach.
