if i remember correct he got a bad injury before 06 and was recovering but to risky to take to the w.c

cufre and scaloni were picked instead of zanetti and samuel

Samuel deserved to play in 2006 . . . Pekerman lost his brain for that and few other things . . . Even in 2010 Maradona sub'd him and did not let him play the QF.
Samuel will always be one of my fav Argie....
