Well, Manzukic should have had a hatrick before HT. The game was littered with defensive errors in both sides so I don't even consider the score line for what it is. If anything, it was a feel good win to keep the German crowd quiet on the night. DiMaria did great, but we know the German back line was not representative of a real team.

I still felt our defence was our best asset, so Martino can hopefully help us find more fluency in attack. That is, Perez and Biglia roles need to be more involved in the build up.

Di Maria's goal... the finish is exquisite, but the move beginning from our half was fabulous! Fast, smart, subtle! This team will shine even more.

I am sorry to say, we should not take anything out of this match. This was almost like a Germany B team, except for 3/4 players, and they will never let us play like this, leaving so much open spaces in their back, in a meaningful match. Di Maria shined, because for once while playing for Albiceleste, he found open spaces just like he always have it while playing for Real Madrid. There are only very few teams who park the bus against RM. Even teams like Galatasaray attack them with full might, leaving open spaces for Maria and Ronaldo and all. DI Maria got those kind of spaces yesterday.

Chainsaw.. well put and totally agreed. Neither Argentina or Germany would play like this in a game that actually meant something. This is a friendly and both coaches let them play.

The only interesting point to note is that we were more expressive than Sabella's team under friendlies. Just think back to the Romania game compared to this.

It was a great pressing game from Tata Martino and it was very nice to see Argentina attacking while defence was not up to mark. We missed Garay very much. Romero was excellent at first half but his handling of ball was poor other wise we could have kept a clean sheet

It's Angel Di'Maria show time, he convert his RM style into N/T excellently, the 4-3-3 formation is working well; but remember this is just friendly game. Even Frederico and Zabaletta can score

A promising future .

Such friendly matches barely prove anything tbh. The space between the lines are huge, many first team players are missing and the players do not press as much as they do in a more serious match, so the attacking players have lots of space to do what they want.

It seemed more like The Tata Martino show than the Di Maria show. Tata clearly changed the style of play by creating triangles that open up play in every corner of the pitch allowing Di Maria to work comfortably with Aguero. Even Lamela who had a bad game in my opinion found so much space in the middle because of Tata's tactical approach.

One thing is for sure he will need to find better CMs than Biglia to implement his style completely.
