by hook and by crook we got to a final but their was nothing at all pretty about it and had a lot of luck in the process.

Baker: I would try these players if Martino decides to play 4-3-3..

-------------------Rom--------------------

Zab-----Garay(injured?)/FF---Demi/Basanta---Rojo

Perez--------------Masche-------------Biglia

------Lamela--------------------Di Maria

------------------Higuain----------------

If Tata want a balancing act while playing the 4-3-3 then this is the best line up..Di Maria can play as one of the attacking strikers, Ancelloti did this in the CDR against Barcelona last season..

Anyways, for me, this would be the best line up for tomorrow game.

Martino confirmed that use a 4-3-3 against Germany
Gerardo Martino, the coach of the national team, gave a press conference at the Spirit Arena in Dusseldorf, where tomorrow the Argentine team face Germany. Then salient sentences.
"Tomorrow we will play 4-3-3 will be modified according to the German midfield."
"Our intention, always, will be the protagonists of the game, to have the ball. Failure to yield prominence. I think we have to make a strong way to play, in addition to the schema to use."
"When you want to play as high and often fatal consequences.'ll Have to be balanced not to suffer those consequences. Vamor I go to practice."
"No need to Messi come this far. After tomorrow's game, the physician team will travel to Barcelona and meet with the medical staff of Spanish club. Also go to Milan to see how it evolves Palace, and San Sebastian to continue closely the evolution of Rulli (former goalkeeper Students) ".

@Pablod
I see your points. I can understand most people's perception of Sabella.
My take is this...pleased that we got to the final. Pleased being the operative word. Thank you to Sabella for doing a tricky job.
BUT.....The contrasting differences for the both finalists are:
Argentina had less travel and the best side of the draw. Along with ideal condition.
Germany were one of a few who had to travel the furthest and between games and in conditions that were in extreme opposite, which surely means less time to adapt.
Argentina couldn't risk dropping Aguero, higuain or Gago because of there fitness (you sense the feeling that there would be an uproar from fans and AFA if all had gone to pot at earlier stages).
But I stress Argentina were in prime condition in terms of adapting to the location and environment. To which the Germans had climatised to such conditions much earlier than most.
So it could then in effect consider Sabella's reign as satisfactory.
Personally, along with a few footballing analysts before the tournament, believed it was no or never.
I wasn't keen on playing the Germans so soon. This game won't tell us much apart from a huge victory for us.
But that's the kick in the head rage that is in me. Iy would just infuriate me that we will beat them when it doesn't mean jack shit!
so if it has to be then start with a complete fresh squad. Give players like Pastore, Lamela, Alverez, Iturbe, Icardi and so on to highlight what they can do against Germany and think about tomorrow rather than give this bunch a last hoorah foe there exploits. Especially against the Germans. It would been better to cancel this and set up a game against England! At Wembley! !!

glued: like wise sir I respect you as well and totally respect your opinion on sabella, I think the other way but that is not a problem at all.
that is what make us all different is we see different things.

"for me the saying it does not matter if you win by an inch of a mile as you have still won"
yes we can sit back and go what if or if only but reality is it did not happen that way in this final...sigh....

baker: I don't hate the guy but I said pre w/c that if he does not win it he has failed, we are Argentina and nothing but winning the w/c is good enough.

bak and Glued: myself I don't get people holding sabella as a god as in the fab 4 we had properly the best attacking 4 players the w/c has ever seen in messi, kun, hig and di maria and our attackers failed all w.c apart from messi.
as ive said before he gambled on players being fit in gago, kun and hig, it back fired.
he had no attacking plan b-it showed
no creative mid to link to the strikers
no gago replacement
the 1st round was a shambles and we never got much better
we were poor all w/c in reality and we got through with a lot of luck not coaching skill.
the reserve players were poor choices in lav and pal to be goal scores- this was no surprise at all.
their was no cover for di maria and it was obvious before the w/c we needed some one as the counter attacking game was our "A" plan.
his subs were diabolical all w/c and before the w/c subs were a weak point for sabella.
friendly's were not used to trial new or potential players as he stuck with the same no matter what.
yes he did have the worst luck in our 4 best players getting injuries before and during the w/c but 3 of them we knew way in advance of the w/c but nothing was done to replace them, add gago to that list.
sadly every thing we said could and did go wrong did.

as I said before even if we had scored a goal who says they would not have upped their game and scored 2 or 3, we will never know weather 1 goal would have been enough to win it, maybe if their header had gone in their would have been no extra time and we lost 1-0 on normal time, its all mute points as its not a game we can play again, its dreams only.

They don't believe Sabella is a good coach because he didn't play fancy football. So if sabella is a shitty coach what will you call Jose Mourinho ... "The Special Shitty coach"?

BTW I feel this guy is gonna make a big name for himself.

Leonardo Ulloa: He has good heading ability something I don't see after batigol and a perfect centre forward.

pablo, you're right, it's too early to give tata any credit for he has done nothing yet. yea i know calling gaitan and lamela doesn't mean he will play them both full 90minutes. i remember sabella call icardi once at the end of the qualifier and play him like 5 minutes or something, and i thought at that moment, what a shitty coach argentina has ever had. i just hope and want tata to not repeating the same mistake done by sabella, and that he will take argentina to the next level, so much better than before. at least tata has the guts to call gaitan. now i will telepathic him to call iturbe next.

travis: im not going to give tata any credit for call ups until he actually gets to pick his 1st team starting the next friendly and then we will see what direction tata is going in.
remember this team is the 23 from the w/c loss as tata is forced to play them by the afa and any calls ups are because some of the 23 have pulled out of the team or are injured but yes i agree "don't repeat the same mistake done by the previous shitty coach"

@Notoraj, my bad, but you get the idea, the last 4 times Argentina and Germany faced each other, we lost 4 of them consecutively. Imagine we won all of those 4, we could of had 4 more world cup in our hands now, at least 2 guaranteed.

It really means nothing to the Germans, they could careless if they lost this game, and be like, "oh we played our bench, so who cares and this is friendly", and if they won, they'd be like, "oh, we won even by playing our bench players and this Argentina were lucky to not get owned more in the final".

So yeah, who cares about this friendly game?

People doubting messi are just ignorant people, you must be a fool to not see how dedicated was Messi for Argentina, sometimes you have priorities in life and this meaningless friendly is certainly not worth the risk and it's even better for Argentina NT to avoid further embarrassment against the team knocked us out the 4 times in a row when we met each other in the world cup. 1994, 2006, 2010, 2014. 4 in a row, even though we have a lot better head to head results with the friendlies included. That tells you the Germans dont give a crap about the friendlies and why should we???? We should never ever field our strong side against the Germans as they always field their experimental players against us. We should do the same.

BTW, I agree with one blogger below, Pastore is actually looking good. He is maturing a bit I think. I wish some good manager picked him up, like Mou or Pep. He like Gaitan used to think that he has to produce magic all the time and looked very lazy on the field. Now he has started looking good. Hope I am not speaking too early :)

Blessing in disguise. Good Messi is not playing. Argentines who hate him, would have hated him anyway, even if he played this game, regardless of he plays good or bad.

Now hope Lamela gets some good time and play a good game. Gaitan for me is talented but very erratic. He cannot keep simple things simple, you don't need to produce magic every time you get the ball. Hope he plays well anyway. Will be good to get a well rounded team, with or without Messi.

Been following the transfer deadline. It's fun.

The most interesting team has been Manchester United as they just got Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao. I think their starting 11 is quite fantastic now:

---------------Van Persie-------Falcao
-----Di Maria-----Rooney----Mata---------Januzaj

----Blind
---Luke Shaw
--Rojo

--------------------------Jones
--------------------------De Gea

Gaitan-Perez-Biglia-Ricky-DiMaria
Lamela-Higuain
*Back 3 needs rest,a long rest from National team.
*In midfield it's a survival exam.Let the best continue in the team.
* Lamela need the chance to prove his worth
*Finally Tata need to play the team according to the available squad strength.

so who cares about this friendly match? You guys are overreacting when messi decided he didnt want to play in this meaningless friendly match, and look at germany, half of their world cup team wont be playing as well. SO what if we beat them by 10-0 and they will still come up with excuses like look at this ARgentina trying so hard in a meaningless game...their whole nation will laugh at Argentina being such a fool. SO you guys want us to go with the same squad to beat this depleted germany squad in a meaningless friendly match??? Very surprised not to see Pastore in the selection, he's actually on fire since the beginning of this season as Blanc finally found a right position for him to play. I think most likely Martino will keep on playing 4-3-3 but with Perez as number 8 instead of having 2 DM. In attack, I think it'll be Lavezzi-Higuain-Aguero
