Luciano Vietto Completes His Move To Villareal
Villareal have made an official announcement that they have reached an agreement with Racing Club de Avellaneda over the signing of 20 years old Luciano VIETTO.

It a appeared that VIETTO was closed for a move to Valencia but the club did not exercise their option and also the player himself was more keen to play at the El Madrigal. VIETTO will sign a five year deal worth €5.5 million with the Yellow Submarine.

DD: I do agree it was our fault we lost from the 3 misses to the appalling subs sabella made.

@Pablo.d: all said & done, looking back at the final, it SHOULD HAVE ended either in penalty shootout or an Argentinian Victory in 90 minutes.

But it was due to our failure, we lost to them in extra time! We must admit it was our fault. we missed 3 good chances to score, 1:1 with the goalie :-(

yes we did create 2 goo chances but remember they also hit the post and missed a really good header but in saying that they could of and should have had 2 players sent off, the studs up from Howie is a red as was the assault from nauer on hig.

it was one of those finals where it was harsh on what ever team lost as their was little to separate them on the day, a draw would have been a fair result on both teams but life is not like that.

"I guess we just didn't create enough"

Indeed, we created exactly 2 clear chances in 120 minutes. The third one (or should i say the first chance) was a gift by Kroos. Considering how wasteful our strikers are, having 3 clear chances in 120 minutes isnt enough... apparently.

Brazil in 2002 missed way more chances in the final and still won by 2-0, if you watch the replay of brazil vs germany in 2002, the legendary Ronaldo missed like 2 or 3 sitters like palacio/higuian missed, and still got 2 goals, I guess we just didn't create enough. With that said, we still created more chances than germany.

@pablo.d I can understand even I am unable to bear those 3 chances we squandered. But that's life we need to move on Sir :)
I am not that excited for next Copa yet but few good results in friendlies will surely make me hopeful.

how sad is that people criticize foreign speaking people about SPELLING when he who criticizes is living in the United States and probably was born there and still writes a clause:

"Humberto Grondona is not going to take over nothing," - a double negative and grammatically incorrect which is not allowed in the English language it should have been:

"Humberto Grondona is not going to take over ANYTHING,"

a language lesson for a wanna be know it all.

Humberto Grondona is not going to take over nothing, lets make that clear. Julio does not have a Santino or a Michael to take over his reign, Humberto is more like Fredo than anything else.

@chalz
I agree that Grondona family has done damage or dictated the proceedings, but I don't want to blame him for our loss in the finals. Here are my points

1. We did win in 86, Julio Grondona was then there too.
2. If Palacio, Pipita or Messi put the ball in the net we win it. AFA, Don Julio, refs, FIFA nothing comes into play.

@Ab, Pablo Aimar will always be my fav Argentine alongside Maradona, Batistuta, Mascherano..... I used to love benfica also when he was there.... Now i Keep wondering What that gentleman is upto... Great Guy....
.
Lets all hope Martino does well and brings home all cups available...
.
"Project 2018" begins.......
.
Argentine z crying after the final loss made me remember 1990..... We were cheated then and now we had ourselves to blame bcoz of AFA.
.
If Humberto Grondona takes over AFA next year.... If these rumours are to be believed ..... Think its another 35 years under Grondona family.... Are we living in bondage?????????????....... That Guy will buy the whole country let alone the clubs..... Presidents of the country will have to bow before this football oligarch????? pathetic.
.
We need Menotti to rise up and stop this.... Even yesterday Maradona talked about Menotti.
.
Join hands.....
.
God save Argentina.

Who is Jacob, Royo and where is Columbia? People panicking again, we just came from a World Cup final and people are saying Uruguay, Chile, "Columbia" or even Costa Rica will beat us, lol. Put down the pipe. People going back 3 plus years again when that team had nothing to do with the team we saw in the World Cup and what we will see in the near future. Find a new sport to watch, please.

It's time to bring fresh blood in nt.

Mussachio, Fazio Garay Royo
Gaitan Enzo Lamela Augusto Fernandez
Ricky Jacob

If we fail to bring these guys now in the copa america and evaluate them we will go down again again in history. It's sad to see this team with Gago, FF, Aguero,!!!

Uruguay will beat us again, if not Chile or Columbia will rip our butt in the copa or evenc costa rica.

I know you guys think i'm crazy but remember last Copa how terrible we played against BOlivia!! columbia. and we barely beat costa rica B team. Ohh Argentina. I will never see you champion again as long as you have tata martino, Diego as coach and stubborn Sabella who refused to oxygenated the team at the world cup by playing 3-5-2 and not play ricky alvarez, Enzo, by not bringing Gaitan, To run fhe field!!!!

Don't cry for me Argentina!

@Chalz: I have no other option than love Valencia. Its just like my lust for old scooty pep scooters (just because she was using that model).
Hehe at Germany part.
I followed Liverpool matches when Masche was there but I never liked Man.U, even when Heinze played there. But a Liverpool with Mascherano and Insua (Maxi came later) was one of my favourite. And Palermo when Pastore and Ilicic played as CAM also interested me. And a Roma with Zemen and Lamela.

I believe bauza was best considering his accomplishments, I would've settled for pekerman and now feel that Martino is a mistake. His sort of football has been figured out by opposing sides, on top of that, messi didn't play like messi under him.

Copa América will give us dismal results, Martino will resign and we'll fall back into the same cycle of lack of continuity.

@Ab Dear,Valencia??? Maybe bcoz Banega plays there?? Or is it bcoz humble but fantastic Pablo Aimar played there???.... Nice team though.....
.
First love??? Then secret love???
.
For me first love was always and ever Argentina. In clubs i watched more Liverpool matches in 1990s then went on to love only Manchester United and then only Barcelona. This year Im moving on from Barcelona back to Liverpool?????!!!!!!
.
One thing u must notice ..... Everytime i start supporting ä team They fade Away????!!!!!!!!!! Hehehe.
.
So for 2018 Im going to be ä German fan??????!!!!!!!!!..... I will side germany in the hope Argentina will win the World cup?????!!!!!!!!!!.
.
Over to Germany blog!!!!!!!!!!!
.
Just kidding.....
.
Cant digest that its just not happening with Argentina.
.
Athletico Bilbao was ä cool team When Bielsa was there ..... But strangely he reversed all his hard work in the second term When Javier Martinez left and Llorente wanted to leave.... I used to watched them.... Enjoyed BVB but why is Bayern Munchen is just robbing them like this????.... Now They want Reus.
.
Argentina - give us ä reason to joy in Copa 2015.
.
I wanted Pekerman but now its ä finished story...
.
Am i loosing my passion for football???

Luis Segura is confirm as the interim AFA president until Oct 2015, finishing late Don Julio Grondona's term. Mostly Tata Martino will take Sabella place.

Edgardo Bauza is doubtful.

Lucas Romero will be the next player after Vietto to leave the Argentine competition for La Liga.

Word in Argentina is that the appointment of the new coach will be made after a successor to Grondona is chosen. So we could be without a coach for a few weeks more. Normally this would mean that the friendly with Germany is cancelled (which would be a good decision).

It looks likely that Fideo will be going to Monaco and Falcao to Madrid given the latest reports of Perez meeting with both agents.

If that does happen, man what a bad move that will be for Dim. The French league is weak. But the again, he did give everything for Madrid at Argentina's expense and he has probably realised he does not want to go down that path ever again. Burn out is becoming more prevalent these days in the top leagues of Europe.
