The public prosecuter suggested it should be dismissed against messi becouse he was 17 year old, but the judge is insisting on it that messi knew about it, and this is image right not just normal taxes, they want a piece of the money he gets from another countries becouse of his image, even adults can't understand tax issues let alone 17 year old, like I said the people who are pushing this are barcelona people and the coronies at madrid are taking advantage of it, mr messi should realize that they don't want him in Spain and should leave

@dfox, the tax fraud against messi will continuo expect it to hear up when the ballon dor voting is taking place near the end of the year, also players like Alonso and casillas had worse tax problems but you won't hear about them, instead you will hear 17 year old messi is responsible tax fraud, even if he paid back every thing, this is a way to damage him, and the people at barca are happy to watch it, this can't happen if they are backing him, it is being going on more then a year , the thing is messi and his people are partly to blame because they should say it is witch hunt to damage him instead of being silent, and messi should leave Spain, they want him out of Spain, people at barca don't want him and the coronies at madrid are taking advantage of that, he should realize that and leave for good, if he leaves and goes another country they won't dare attack him, I don't care even if he goes to epl at least their papers will defend him unlike the coronies in Spain

We have lost the way of winning something. There is no one in the team or a coach who has the experience of winning something. Been there before and done it before helps. Its not a recipe for success but helps, adds on.

We should not think about 2018 now. We should try to win the copa next year. Win something. Winning is a habit.

I do not agree about the Adidas logic, AFA corruption, Don Julio etc. etc. All are true, but teams win with those obstacles. Grondona do not play in the field. If Palacio, Higuain, Messi puts those chances in there is nothing adidas or AFA or Grondona can do.

We've got here with the strength of individuals talent in the last 2 decades.
The pull of European football has had a negative effect for the national team as a collective. However it has had its benefit in the individual players.
The most difficult ask would be if we can influence a big club in Europe (like the inter of yesteryear) and dominate a midfield of those teams. Wishful thinking!!

Spot on Pablo d
Hence the Europe v south america wins tally will grow in favour of European teams
Bayern and barcelona have shown the way forward to help the respective national teams.
But can you see the likes of River or Boca afford to to do the same in order to strengthen the national teams chances of not just one off championships but genuine dominance for such periods??
I think not...

In 1990, ref betrayed and in 2014, we missed those open chances.

I hate germany... 3 WC elimination by them... 3 in a row!!!

"Please do not celebrate the defeat. What would happen if we played against Germany in the quarter-finals"

First of all arguing about "what ifs" is moot.

Second a defeat doesn't always mean absolute failure and in my eyes the majority of our boys are champions.

Lastly Argentina had an absent Dimaria and extra half time match with one less day of rest to boot and despite of all that Argentina had just as much of a chance of winning as germany did and so one could easily extrapolate that QF match between equally rested teams (remember Algeria took Germany all the way just like the Swis did with Argntina) and a fit Dimaria might've gone our way.

P.s. Having Belguim in the QF isn't what I call "lucky" considering that fact that they were so hyped that the critics stopped addressing them as dark horses and began to regard them as contenders.

@pablo.d : That issue will remain untill AFA decided to pump lot money to local league , which will not happen any time soon.

But the problem with our youngsters is every one wants to be "next messi" . If any one observed our u20/u21 performance there was never a collective team effort from our team . Every one tried to showcase their performance so that they can move to big clubs in europe.

we need some one like pekerman or cholo to kick their butts.

I have to agree with a lot of what this writer is saying:

"One of the problems for South American football is that players are spread around Europe and not concentrated in a club like Bayern for Germany or Barca for Spain. I.e Argentina had only two players from the same club in the starting 11 for the final. In International football where players dont have much time to get used to each other, having players that play for the same club is an advantage. Also club football in South America is a disgrace. Half of the countries have clubs going bankrupt, most of the players leave before they reach 20, etc"

xtreme: I totally agree with you..I'm so proud of the boys at this point..Although some media outlet kind of acknowledge that Argentina was one of the favorites going into the world cup, they also had doubts in our team, saying ''our defense was too weak to win the world cup,'' well that was not the case..Our defenders including Romero proved the entire world wrong, or should I say, the so call''experts..''

As I said before, our run in the world cup have given Argentina a new life..We are back on the map again when it comes to international football..Just imagine if Argentina had an early exit like say 2nd or quarterfinal? It wouldn't be looking good at this point...

world cup trophy or not, Argentina is world champion in my mind. Although I'm hurt that we didn't get the 3rd star, it didn't stop me from supporting my beloved NT. I watch football just to follow all Argentine footballers, nothing is more exciting than seeing Argentine players making all the headlines and tearing it a new one. We all know how talented Argentine players are in the world, and it really was just the management failed Argentina all these years.... big sigh.

"Howede foul on Zabaleta was a red card" correct as his studs were up, its an automatic red.

"Neuer challenge was poor he should have at least gotten a yellow card for that horrendous tackle on Higuain"
their was no reason for neuer to have his knees up as hig was not even jumping and add to it the ball was high and as hig is a short neuer he could have caught it standing without actually jumping, that tackle was simply a common assault and if i did that to some one not in a ball game id be in court.
simply put he should have been sent off.

"FIFA need to play both semifinal game on the same day" 100% agree but it wont happen as fifa want the most $$ and suspense as possible instead of common seance.
add to it i cant understand why in the 1st round of 3 games fifa give teams about 5 days rest but from the knockout stages it only 4, you would think make the 1st round closer together but in the knockout where so much is at stake let the players be as rested as possible.
they also need to scale down the champs lge every w/c year as the best players need to be rested for the w/c, look how many of the top real and barca players who looked shattered and exhausted.

I heard that Valencia want to loan Bruno Zuculini although he just recently signed for Man City..This would be a good move in my opinion..The competition will be tough for Zuculini at City this season..Yaya, Fernandinho, (new recruit)Fernando,Javi Garcia (if he decides to stay at the club)then you have attacking mids like Nasri and Silva..All these players will be ahead of Zuculini due to his age and lack of experience in Europe..

If the rumors are said to be true, then he should go to Valencia where he will get more playing time..The prospect of Enzo Perez, Banega and Zuculini playing together this season would be a great thing.

Ayr18: That is a good idea but I doubt they will ever consider the 2 extra subs in over time..

Garay, Zabaleta, Mascherano and Messi played all minutes at the world cup, they were exhausted by the time they got to the final..Mario Gotze goal was due to our tireness..Garay ran out of gas..Gotze was ahead of Garay when he got the ball from Schrulle..

Howede foul on Zabaleta was a red card (a Belgium player did the same tackle on a South Korea player and he got a straight red),even Ballack said during the ESPN halftime report that he was ''lucky'' to still be on the field..Argentina beat themselves not Germany..Neuer challenge was poor he should have at least gotten a yellow card for that horrendous tackle on Higuain..

The moment the game went into extra time Germany had the upper hand because they were the fresher team of the two...

FIFA need to play both semifinal game on the same day..Its unfair for one team to get an extra day rest over its opponent going into a final..Noway one team should have an extra day over the other team, so FIFA should change this rule.

I'm still hurt though, but the thing is, I can assure you that we will win the friendly game on September 3rd by like 3 - 4 goals which will hurt even more, bringing back bad memories..

I was at the park this evening, and this guy was wearing a Brazilian shirt, so when he approach me, I said 7 - 1..lol Was like, how can you wear that shirt after such dismal performance at the world cup? He was like, ''I still love my Brazil'', I was like, blah blah blah, Brazil is set back for another 50 years..lol

well, just here to comment on the blatant red card foul by neuer during the wc final, which should have been a penalty from the spot.

some people argue, he has a right to protect himself. well, this is football, not the nfl.

you can't go flying thru the air and nearly send a guy into a coma going for a 50/50 ball.

that's why it's called a 50/50. there are only 2 outcomes, you win the ball cleanly, or it's a foul.

neuer didn't win the ball cleanly, he nearly had to decapitate higuain to get to the ball.

if two outfield players challenge for a ball in the air, and one of them jumps and rams his knee into the opponent's head to get to the ball and heads it away, it will be a red card 100% of the time.

the only difference is a goalkeeper can use his hands. it's not an excuse to obliterate a guys head.

it was deliberate flying leap into his head.

if neuer can't get to the ball cleanly, then it wasn't a 50/50 ball, and higuain was fouled.

actually, higuain was waiting for the ball to land on his feet as he was waiting to receive that pass, until his head was nearly ripped off.

and why was an italian and european the ref for such an important and final game.

and not only that, the ref awarded neuer a foul. that's how corrupt that call was.

half the italian teams play in empty stadiums because of the rampant corruption, yet fifa decides an italian is the best referee.

he should have been african or japanese, or american, or even english, since they don't consider themselves europeans.

it's a shame, argentina played a nearly flawless wc, it was a masterpiece, unfortunately at best horrible refereeing and at worst, a deliberate call not to award the wc to argentina, sabotaged a wc for argentina.

argentina didn't lose that wc, and germany definitely didn't win it fair and cleanly.

My two nephews were playing Fifa the other day, Argentina vs Germany, the game was tied 2-2 when they went into overtime, when I told my nephew using Argentina to bring in El pocho for higuain and Montillo for Biglia.

LAVAZZI SCORED immediately, Montillo and La pulga with the final kill, ending the game 5-2.

Pablo Aimar’s return to River looking likely......

Pablo Aimar with River between 1996 and 2000

River Plate President, Rodolfo D’Onofrio has told Argentine radio reporters that Pablo Aimar will probably be re-signing for the club where he made his name in the next couple of days. Aimar has been a free agent since ending his contract with Malaysian side, Johor Darul Takzim and this will see him link up with former River team mate, Marcelo Gallardo who has taken over as manager.

D’Onofrio was quoted as saying, “we believe that we (River) will define Aimar’s incorportation in the next few days. It is very probably that we will bring him, if his physical condition is good we will take him.“

This would be the only doubt given that Aimar and Johor darul Takzim agreed to terminate his contract given the recurring injuries that the former Argentina star suffered. Aimar himself said some weeks ago that he would only return to River if he was physically able to do so.

There is certainly a willingness to do so on River’s part and if Manuel Lanzini is to leave this window and Aimar wore the number 10 shirt again it would be excellent to see River and Boca potentially clash with two legendary number 10s (Riquelme’s own situation is obviously very unclear).

Aimar started his career with River and played 82 times between 1996 and 2000 before Valencia signed him for €24 million. A fee reserved for a player who at the time was considered to be potentially the next great Argentine playmaker. Aimar went on to have a very successful career with Valencia and Benfica but now the 34-year old version will look to rekindle the magic for River.

Much will depend on who leaves River in the coming weeks. Several players are linked with moves away from El Monumental but D’Onofrio told reporters, “The offers that have arrived are not what we want and although we need to sell to stabilize the economy, we will not make bad sales. When the World Cup finishes we will see what happens, we are not in a rush.
.
Pablo Aimar - you are too good to be forgotten.

Iturbe was very good during the qualifications of the U20s. As for Icardi the boludo just scored a panenka. Maxi Lopez was never dubbed as anything sepcial, just because he went to Barcelona from Rivet doesn't meant much. Icardi's potential is so much greater, it's day and night comparing him to Maxi Lopez.

Love him or hate him, Icardi is a very lethal striker, very very clinical and world class in terms of finishing. He needs to be fed or he will get isolated all game long. He needs to improves his other skills like dribbing, passing etc to be considered a world class player.

@Kid,
Dont compare Icardi and Maxi Lopez. They both talented but Maxi never reached the level we thought he would be. Icardi already showed what he can be...at both Sampdoria and at Inter..even though he did not play that many matches. And don't forget Icardi scored more than 500 goals for youth team. He will be a great finisher for Argentina. I am seeing another Batigoal on making..!

judge young players in a preseason game that are 1 month away to to being physically fully fit and 2 weeks behind with the preperations versus the english clubs who start the season 2 weeks earlier.
nobody called for iturbe to be included in the world cup squad, but he is someone who in the we should watch out for the future.
notable misses were:
Musacchio and fazio better defenders than fernandez and demichelis.
Ansaldi and peruzzi.
Banega we had no midfield, with all the troubles he brings he could have helped, and add creativity to the squad.
Pastore always can create magic out of nowhere like he did against chelsea as a sub, and would have helped unlocking defenses that played a 11 man defense with his creativity.
Lamela although I dont blame him for not including him because he was injured and tottenham didnt play him sherwood.
Icardi would always be able to come on as an sub and score.
I dont blame him for tevez, sadly we are not abler to work professionally with each other so we lose.

sadly for us what were the chances for all 4 of the fab 4 being injuries pre tournament.
messi aside (it was obvious he was not 100% fit)the other 3 were very poor, di maria only had about 20 mins all w/c where he played well before he broke down.
in hind sight for sabella got the mix wrong (some of us did point this out before the w/c)as the back up players were clearly not up to the job and lav and pal are not goal scores at n/t level, then again this is no surprise to most of us here.
their was no back up used for di maria and our game was very much based on a counter attacking style and with out it as it showed we offered not a lot in the attacking dept from the mid to the strikers.

sabella should have taken gamble and taken a wild card striker but he did not and for that lack of planning he has to take some of the blame, same in the mid he put all his eggs in the gago basket for creativity, again a lot of us said it was a mistake and sadly it proved correct.

So this was the Iturbe who would have won us the world cup? You guys need to wake up..If Argentina could not win the world cup with the team they had, no other team/players in Argentina and around the world would have done better..All this talk about Iturbe and Icardi should have been at the world cup is just blah blah blah..These guys couldn't even win youth championship let alone be effective at the world cup..Lamela was like the only big miss for Argentina going to the world cup and unfortunately he was injured..

You guys need not to get ahead of yourself about these so call ''great'' young talents coming up through the ranks..

Out of all the young players coming up, I only rate Lamela, Ocampos,Kranevitter and Zuculini..

I understand the pgg deal will be on loan as they are in trouble for breaking the ffp rule and on loan gets around it.

Di Maria 65 miillion euros move to PSG? from ole ole

http://www.ole.com.ar/futbol-internacional/Prepara-valijas_0_1181882026.html

In Spain claim that Di Maria is very close to being sold at 65 million euros to PSG. If completed in that figure, noodle will become the most expensive transfer in the history of Argentina: exceed 55 paid Lazio for Crespo in 2000.

Not be long before it becomes official. In Spain there have already complete agreement between Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and the player himself, Angel Di Maria to pass over the French side. The number of transfer would be around 65 million euros. Question which, if confirmed, would leave as the most expensive noodle Argentine player in history, surpassing the 55 million that Lazio paid to Parma by Hernan Crespo in 2000.

To formalize that, subtract the PSG make sales (and Lavezzi Pastore on that list) to meet the financial fair play. Additionally, Rosario will become the most ostentatious sale Merengue. The record belonged to Ozil, for whom English Arsenal paid 50 million euros.

Lefty The contract would be for five years with an annual salary of 8,000,000 euros, almost double what they paid the Spaniards. While Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said he plans to continue relying on next season, the fate of Di Maria is in France.

@theAbNormalOne, Benfica "had" a good GK. His name is Jan Oblak and he just joined Atletico Madrid. The #1 spot at Benfica was vacant before they signed Romero.

Sudhirfadi: Real Madrid push out Sneijder, Robben, Cambiasso, Samuel, Ozil (although I'm not a fan),Higuain etc..This is nothing new..Di maria just need to turn the page and write a new chapter somewhere else..I never liked Real Madrid under Perez leadership anyways, its good for me, I don't have to watch there games anymore....

I don't want Di maria playing in England, that place is destroying South American players..

Ronaldo is not getting any younger, and the human body has limits..

Sudhirfadi: Di Maria said during the world cup that Messi was the best in the world hence they kick him out..Ancelloti wanted Di Maria to stay but he had little say in this regards..I mean Di Maria single handily won Real Madrid the UCL and CDR finals but this is how they threat him..I say its best Di Maria leaves, no need to play under Ronaldo and Bale shadows when he's as good as Ronaldo on his day and a far better player than Bale..

Perez take football players as toys these days. James had a decent world cup so they went out and spent hefty on him, kicking out a players who left everything on the pitch for them last season unfortunately for Argentina, Di Maria did not have enough left of his body for the world cup...I say good move for Di Maria, he can expand his wings now, at least Zlatan wont hold him back..I said earlier this year that Di Maria and Higuain were the only ones that kept me interested in Real Madrid games, now both are gone I can finally tune out Real Madrid for good unless they're playing against team like Valencia with our own Perez and EL Classico..

theAbNormalOne: This was a good move for Romero..After his performances at the world cup, he can surely get Benfica number one spot...I don't see no reason why Romero wont start..Real Sociedad would be a bad move for Romero..Romero will be playing in a repetitively competitive league along with UCL football and possible UEFA cup football..

@Arg2014:I'm not badmouthing him.But I say some club where the first choice keeper had departed in this season would have been better.I mean clubs like Athletico, Sociedad...etc

A good transfer? I doubt it...They already got a good keeper.Tough to dispose a goal keeper who was good last season. But I'm sure he can do that.
*I support benfica in Portugal since they play more Argentine in their XI.
*Looks like Valencia is becoming the new Inter Milan.
