From Gino To Gunners Peruzzi?

Several reports are suggesting that Arsenal is the move to bring Gino PERUZZI to the Emirates soon.

The highly prospect right back who was played for Catania last season, would represent a younger back-up option to the recently acquired DEBUCHY, who at nearly 29 is more of a short-term prospect.

He only arrived in Serie A from Velez Sarsfield in 2013 but he has four Argentina caps to his name. He missed out on the chance to go to Brazil.

Dunga was strongly rejected by the press here, especially by ESPN, which here is the one that best understands football.
They are protesting counter CBF because the entire Brazil expected a renewal how Sampaoli of Chile, and to complete touched up in point CBF have a gang which always runs the same people, Parreira, Scolari, Dunga and other delayed guys from technical department that suck the teats of the federation.
But in the end I think he has a good chance of doing a job well done, I see him more solid than previous.

This is way Sabella should stay on as coach..We can't afford to be in the same position as Brazil after a brilliant world cup campaign minus the title..Argentina does not need to start from scratch like Brazil, so its wise to keep Sabella..Dunga is probably a stop cap measure while the Brazilian football federation look around for the right alternative to Scolari.

I know even though we are still making efforts to forget our wasteful final, below is a decent writeup about the final game.

http://outsideoftheboot.com/2014/07/15/world-cup-tactical-analysis-germany-1-0-argentina-gotze-ends-germanys-quest-for-glory/

Alejandro Sabella made shoddy substitutions that abridged his own side’s attacking threat, losing him the game in the process. Low’s subs look fantastic on paper – he brought on Götze who scored the winner and Schürrle who provided the assist – but it was Sabella who capitulated this tactical match. After an upbeat start to the second half, in which Argentina transitioned from 4-4-1-1 to 4-3-1-2 and created five minutes of pressure, they levelled out and flat-lined. Lavezzi, their most imposing dribbling threat, was taken off at half-time for Aguero who looked diffident, rusty and indisposed to run beyond. Later Rodrigo Palacio came on for Gonzalo Higuain, and while the latter had another bad game, Palacio was even worse. He incapacitated every single one of his team’s attacks without fail, giving the ball away, shooting wide, being tackled and being crowded out. The outline of Argentina’s game was set out for victory: Mascherano tackles – one raking pass into the channel – goal scoring chance. Regrettably, every chance ostensibly fell to Palacio. Meanwhile, German subs, Götze and Schürrle were causing all sorts of problems for the Argentinian defence on the left wing, linking up & interchanging spectacularly, eventually resulting in a goal.

Some people are asking for a creative midfielder, how about Joaquin Correa (not to confound with Angel) coming from Estudiantes.

Yacob is never an argentine nt material imo.... He is miles behind comparing to masche/biglia/perez.... He is only noticed because he got a transfer to EPL, thatz all...

What kid said is exact point... What our coach need do is pick de best quality players n assign each guys a certain role or position considering their technical quality, style of play, work rate, physic, energy level etc... And shud try to make tgem play in those roles more n more n need to get used to it.... Look at what germans did, they were the symbol of power play, they devoloped players with good passing ability n mixed some flair to their natural atheletic power n see where they are now.... Likewise if we dont hav players in certain departments we need to transform.some suitable players to those positions... We need to act intelligently, with good vision... Also shud learn them tonplay as a team... I m really looking forward to rodrigo de paul n leandro paredes... In dact so many are there, no other country hav half de talent we hav now, but what we need to do is devolop their all round game...

As far as midfield Lucas Romero + Matias Kranevitter can be a scary pairing for years to come. Add a playmaker like De Paul, Lamela, Paredes or Botta to the mix and you have yourself a midfield to reckon with

Correa is a talent no doubt about that but like Kid said he's a dime a dozen when it comes to talented youngsters coming from Argentina.

Personally I'm more interested in (no particular order):

Peruzzi- Zabaleta's natural successor?

Musacchio/LL/Fazio- who will be Garay's future partner at the back?

Rojo- WC performance a fluke or a preview of even better things to come?

Bruno Zuculini- future Mascherano or just another Franco in the making?

Lucas Ocampos- Argentina has plenty of Left sided wingers like Dimaria, Lavezzi, Sanchez Mino and Gaitan, but Ocampos is one of the few natural right sided wingers Argentina has produced in the last few years.

Correa is amazing and all but, but its still the same old same old..Correa is no different from Messi, Aguero, Iturbe,Lavezzi,Tevez etc..I need to see some more Aimar's, Mascherano, Zanetti, Zabaleta, Garay, Ayala, Delsandro, Samuel, Veron etc coming through the Argentina system...Correa for me is just another Aguero/Iturbe/Tevez type player..Right now Argentina is not short on attackers, we need to make sure we have the right midfield players coming through our ranks that can supply our forwards because without great midfielders to balance out all the attacking talent we have right now then its fair to say Argentina will still struggle to score goals when all these guys get a chance at the national level..Most of Argentina goals as of late are from individual brilliance not necessarily a combination of great midfield work..Prime example was Ricky Alvarez against Slovenia.

Now we got Mascherano, Perez and Biglia in the team..I want to see another dozen holding/creative quality midfielders by the time Copa 2015 and the 2018 world cup qualifiers comes around from which we can choose from....

Right now we have a ton of attacking players, even with the poor showing at the world cup from our forwards, Argentina still has the best strikers both young and old...Although we have Kranevitter and Zuculini (already at man City) coming up as holding mids, I want to see more players like them playing at an high level, it doesn't mean they have to play for Real or Chelsea...

Right now Argentina is strong in the attacker department, the goalkeeper department and defending department..Our depth in CDM and CM are not strong at the moment..Mascherano, Perez, Biglia, Zuculini and Kranevitter are the only players come to mind for these position. Our other mids are basically attacking ones.

Correa is trickery but not flashy, that's the difference. He's not nearly as flashy as neymar, neymar would make a lot of unnecessary moves to get by players whereas Correa is very direct, pacy, quick and efficient.

I think Angel Correa is best suited to link well with our first team players...compared to juan iturbe. But i'm just really pumped about our talented youngsters, we probably have even better chance to win the 2018 than this year, you never know.. just gotta keep faith and hope for the best :).

For now, I'm looking forward to the copa 2015, hopefully we will see a few talented players in the squad like lamela, icardi, correa..

My arguments for hoping (praying) that Sabella stays on as manager thru 2018:

1) He took us farther than any manager since 1990. That should not be discarded
2) He organized our defense and entire team better than any manager we've had
3) With him as manager, we didn't see any glaring breakdowns like Brazil had vs. Germany
4) He is humble, good with the media and great with player management
5) He beats the teams he is supposed to beat and lost to arguable a better team (Germany). No shame in that.
6) There has been no debacles or embarrassments like 1-6 vs. Bolivia. Again, we beat the teams we are supposed to beat.
7) Longevity and consistency is vital to any national team project. Look at Germany (Low) and Spain (Del Bosque). Switching managers every 2-3 years is NOT a recipe for any type of long-term success.

Arguments against Sabella:

1) He substitutions in the final
2) He can't make our forwards shoot straight no manner how many opportunities his leadership and tactics create.

Completely agree with you. Do not understand their transfer policy. Did well with goal keepers. But not defenders and no attack. Neymar is injured and Suarez is suspended. All on Messi who looks disinterested.

Mascherano will play at the back 4.

Can we please focus on the done deals instead of rumors?

Ansaldi to Atletico - Rumor
Peruzzi to Arsenal - Rumor
Roberto Pereyra to Juventus - Rumor

Iturbe, Parades to Roma - Done deal
Bruno Zuculini to Manchester City - Done deal
Franco Zuculini to Bologna - Done (Free transfer)
Diego Perotti to Genoa - Done deal
Mauro Zarate to West Ham United - Done deal
Angel Correa to Atletico Madrid - Done deal
Rodrigo Javier de Paul to Valencia - Done deal

Jose Sosa and Lisandro Lopez's loan periods are over, so they are back to Metalist and Benfica (Lopez will hopefully be a regular at Benfica as Garay has been sold to Zenit).

Please mention the transfers if I have missed any...

@lucho I want Simeone to do this but slowly since he can't build chemistry with many new players at a time and keep being competitive. I think if he sells Miranda he should go for Rojo... Peruzzi should go to a smaller club in spain then in 2 years he can joing atletico with juanfran older. Maybe also buy Icardi in 3 years when Manduzik is older etc...etc..

this will be a good experience playing for Arsenal. It would be even better if a top European team signed up to 5 or 6 Argentines in their team. This would benefit the national team immensely. It's little wonder that a Barcelona based Spain and a Bayern based Germany have won the last 2 world cups. With many Argentines holding European passports this is a realistic possibility.
