#ARG Last Training Session

Right after the press conference, the team head down to the São Januário Stadium, the home of Vasco da Gama where they had their last practice session.

Alejandro SABELLA did mention during the press conference that Angel DI MARIA has been improving but he will need to be further evaluated (during the training session) on whether he will be available to start on Sunday.

During the session, he was seen training together with the first team and even participated in the tactical trial. However it was reported he still wasn’t too comfortable and felt pain on his right thigh. So it looks like, he won’t be part of the starting line up but question still remains if he could make it to the bench. We will continue to keep you posted on anything latest.

With that said, Enzo PEREZ will retain his place and the probable line up will be as follows: -

Sergio ROMERO; Pablo ZABALETA, Ezequiel GARAY, Martin DEMICHELIS, Marcos ROJO; Javier MASCHERANO, Lucas BIGLIA, Enzo PEREZ; Lionel MESSI, Ezequiel LAVEZZI and Gonzalo HIGUAIN

We are not prepared to be losing during the game. Germany are very prepared but they are beatable. Good luck everyone. Vamos.

We must be very focused at the beginning and end of each period because we conceded gols like that in the compétition. If there is 0-0 after one hour, our chances increase. We must NOT conceed a gol first.

I just wonder with CB position for Demichelis. What happen with FF? Is he injured or Sabella thinks Demi is better for final? Just curious and also admire Demi who never stop fighting for his post now.

The team need to be fully concentrated not to fall behind at the opening stage again like they did in 2010. Keep it organized like they did against Holland and slowly try to get through the German's defence. Patience is the key.

@Baker I think the game at halftime will be a hard fought 0-0 I hope sabella Messi and Mascherano can give a inspirational speech and we can win :') I think subs can decide match Di Maria Aguero Ricky vs Schurlle Gotze Draxler hopefully we can stay calm and play with passion :)

If Di Maria does not start, it will hurt Messi chance to do the damage upfront, pretty much like the game against Holland. Remember that against Belgium, Messi looks menacing until Di Maria got injured and we played more defensively and only willing to attack with 3-4 players at maximum.

The positive side is that, Saballa managed to strengthen the defence in the wake of Angelito's injury, no need for Zabaleta to overlapping since he doesnt offer much with that. As long we could score first, I believe we could win unless Di Maria doesnt play in this game. Just wait till the right moment and the chance to score with arrive whether its late or early in the game like against Switzerland and Belgium.

i'm not going to be like an idiot to say "we're going to win!", or "we're going to beat the germans and end our suffering, and we're going to celebrate this win tomorrow" blablabla, that's plain stupid from ordinary football fans. i've been a fan of argentina since 1986 but still i don't dare to talk big and say "we're going to win the cup!!!". argentina fans are most humble and passionate in this world. just wait and watch the game. don't look down on the germans even if they look down on us. look at scolari before the world cup starts; "we're going to win the world cup!!" and look what happened to them???

the germans are a good team as well as argentina. both have their own weaknesses and strength. we play better in the semi than in the group stages. but remember, we still can't beat netherlands in the full 90minutes, and in the extra times. messi can't produce any goods in the semi (apart from the shootout). it's all about the other players in the team who fought as a collective. so we still have so much to worries. against germans who best at playing as a team and will produce a great team work again, we have to play football at its best.
messi have to perform. otherwise we can say goodbye to the cup. higuain have to take every opportunity to score, and not wasting it. mascherano have to tore his anus once again. we should defense tightly, even better than before. we shouldn't concede any goals.

i don't see maria and kun can help much in the final. we now have to depend on all the subs; biglia, perez, lavezzi, and demi.

and i go with the same line-up against netherlands:
romero
zaba demi garay rojo
perez mascherano biglia
higuain messi lavezzi

VAMOS ARGENTINA!!!

What a wonderful coach has Sabella been. We all were very harsh on him for not taking Caballero. He stuck to his line up and its now showing the results. This is a very different Argentine team i am seeing and i have been seeing from 1986. This team is very tight in defence and just does not give up. It may not be playing beautiful football like 2006 but this team is achieving more. Masch, Demi, Biglia have nade a big differnce. Only the final frontier remains and may Sabella take us to the climax and win the world cup. VAMOS ARGENTINA

They say before a world cup final, your entire soccer-life flashes before your eyes! it's certainly true for me, as I close my eyes and all I can see is blue and white! In the corner of my room, I have Diego's photo with his eyes closed, his finger raised, and his heart broken in 1994. There is a photo of Caniggia when injured in 1994. At the back, a young me wrote: god, god, why have you forsaken Argentina? I can see the Angel's tears as he kneeled down after the draw vs. Sweden. Yes, I remember what exam I was taking as we lost to Germany in 2006.

May tomorrow be your day. I pray that you win! win it for yourself, for Diego, for the Angel, and for the ever-lasting joy that awaits all of us.

A fit Dimaria would have been huge difference. He was instrumental against Bayern. But we ll fight with w/e is available to us. If we can hold Germany in the First Half they will get anxious and go all out on us which can play into our hands. Vamos Albiceleste. Lets become World Champions again!
