Press Conference: Sabella & Basanta
Just some rough translation and idea on what was said by manager Alejandro SABELLA and Jose BASANTA prior before the team’s practice session.

SABELLA has stated that becoming a World Champion is good for the country and also for the players who have long struggled to get here. He gave assurance that they will give everything to make it happen.

But he also admitted that playing against Germany will not be easy as they are a very organized team. For that Argentina has to be very focused. Like everyone, he is hoping for a repeat on the same result as it was in 1986.
"It's one of the greatest satisfactions to be professionally and personally representing my country in the finals of the World Cup" he said.
When asked about his future, he didn’t want to comment much as he never given a lot about thought about it at the moment.
As for BASANTA, he has stated that the team will give everything on the field and are highly motivated.
"We will do everything possible to make the dream come true. This team is characterized by humility, effort and companionship. We want to write a new story. Want to be positive and of great joy" he said

Starting as underdogs is good, there will be less pressure on us and the arrogant Germans will surely make mistakes. We will surely win, all Albiceleste fans are going to celebrate

Joachim Low said today that an era of German domination is about to dawn! and I ask myself, the arrogant Joachim Low or the humble Sabella! who should win?

Messi has already made soccer more beautiful that it ever was and all Thomas Muller has to say about it is that he's never lost a match to him! To me, he is just a player who happens to be at the right time in the right team, and that has made him forget how pathetically ordinary and repetitive his goals are! the genius or the opportunist, who should win?

Over the past 20 years, many talented players have come and gone wearing the blue and white! The likes of Batistuta, Redondo, Chamot, Simeone, Zanetti, Ayala, Roman, etc. will never be found. They have each made the game more beautiful in their own way. I can see all the talented players I have cheered for over the past 20 years, and ask myself, has any other nation played with such style, creativity, and excitement? I want to see tomorrow's game as the battle between the talent and the ordinary! who should win?

These are my reasons why Argentina should win. What are yours?
