Thursday Activity From Training Camp

Just to keep you posted on what are the itinerary for today coming out from the team's training camp in Cidade do Galo.

First up there will be a practice session and it is going ad I'm writing this article (started at 10.00 am local time). Unfortunately this training session is held closed door.

So we don't have idea for now on what is the formation the players are practicing or any sort of confirmation on changes I've mentioned in the previous article.

At about 6.30 PM local time, the team will depart from Belo Horizonte on a charted flight bound for Brasilia, the venue for their weekend clash against Belgium. The team will be staying at the Hotel Royal Tullip Brasilia Alvorada.

One last thing, just wanna Thank You for the all the comment and support we are getting from you guys.

dammage7: I agree no amount of preys , shaving or not shaving or any witch doctor etc etc will make the team play better or worse.

im astounded on here how its supposed to be people opinion's/thoughts on here but so many rubbish them with such nastiness, some of you get over your selves as to speak ill of a player or the team does not mean we hate the team.

im am 100% Argentine but It hard to argue with some points from dmmage7 or outlaw etc and their are also so good points from those who are 100% sure we will win it all.
I have my doubts we will win it but that does not mean I wont support the team any less come game time, ill be screaming and yelling us to what I hope is victory and if we lose it will be hard not to shed tears.
im realistic.

Mr/ms dammage7,
As I said on my previous comments, please stop bullshitting. If you can then *Get out from this site* watch some p**no film and comment on there. I think that is the medicine for you. Sorry to say but you do not have any clue at all what you say.

To all friends who put their exclusive comments on this site, please stop, stop and stop bullshitting. It's really easy to say or write something but the players who are playing on the field and the coaching staff they know much more better than us. Please pray for them if you can. One more thing, if anyone think Argentina can't win then do not write any comments here. Cause we need some positive attitude here which will motivate and strengthen the players, coaching staff and supporters. Argentina will win. If they do not win then they will go back home. They knows about that.Vamos Argentina.
Thanks to all.

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, people sure do have their panties in a bunch on this site nowadays.

If Argentina improve, they can win. If not, they lose. Simple.

I now expect them to improve now based on what I am hearing out of camp and out of the media regarding potential adjustments.

@joy, Absolutely right. @el principe, waiting 4 u man.

I believe El principe is around..He's the one who usually set up the polls here and so on, if I'm not mistaken..

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 1:27 PM
Having Kid back is like catching a train after lots of running. Now we need Elprincipe, Mafioso, elpipita etc back. Can't stand this negativity anymore, even-though some of them are true. Want to hear only nice stuffs till next match.

Diego Simeone:

"Lionel Messi has stepped up in the important moments to win games for Argentina at this World Cup," Simeone told "He is a player who offers something different to Argentina, but the team needs to grow as a unit and I'm convinced they will do that as the World Cup moves into the knockout phase.

"I was also very happy with the performance of Sergio Romero against Iran. In a World Cup, when you have a player like Messi who can win you any game, plus a goalkeeper who is growing with each match, that's very important.

"At a tournament like this one, if your goalkeeper is on form and your most decisive player is also on form, that gives you confidence at both ends of the pitch. It's a weapon all teams would like to have."

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 1:17 PM
this is a public blog for everyone to come on here and post his opinion about the team, performance, and coach and also reecho what the press is saying. You all kids here trying to pretend that the team is doing live in wonderland. Sabella is not the man to bring the team the WC. Maxi lopez was doing a great job on his blog by warning trash talkers like you on here.....the moderators should have banned you from bullying other bloggers. this is insanity.

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 1:15 PM
We are playing in the quarter finals in couple of days time and people like arg2014 can't just support the team. Btw I don't think messi is single handedly carrying the team. Mascherano, Rojo has done well and Romero too has been decent. I don't understand the motive and logic behind calling our team a one man army. Even I am really disappointed with our performance. Vamos Argentina

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 1:09 PM
This is a pic of Gago during training after the Swiss game..Gago does not look confident enough like someone who will start the next game..Just look at Messi and Gago expression..Messi looks happy and Gago looks worried about his spot on the team..

(United States)
Posted on 7/3/2014 at 1:03 PM
We will see the 2nd EL Clasico game vs Barcelona - Di Maria and the UCL finals - Di Maria..The goal Di Maria scored was key for him, it will take his game to another level..I believe if Messi hadn't score against Bosnia then he would have struggled in the rest of the tournament..Higuain is going to clinch one, I can feel it, that's why I want him to continue playing against Belgium..Higuain seems like his ankle is about 100% now..

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 12:59 PM
Guys i think Sabella is gonna go for a totally insane and risky move infact he should go for dat instead of fearing that the present 11 s the best choice we have...becoz incase we play in semis and final dis game s gonna be the easiest out of the three

so my line up is for first half

and we must press hard and get belgium in the counter and den in second half

dimaria in for biglia and ricki and come in for who plays worse higuain or palcio but formation mst remain same

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 12:54 PM

see you at the final your going to get destroyed here

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 12:51 PM
arg2014 your post obviously irrelevent was confirmed so when i got as far as TEVEZ enough said

sabella made di maria the playmaker winger he is today, sabella got messi scoring sabella was successful with at least 4 formations sabella won the cannonball with ease

sabella new that are counter attacking sytem cannot work here becausevall the teams will simply play anti football instead he turned argentina into fighters and let them play slowly

he unleashed dimaria vs swizerland it wasnt pritty but it worked in the end

you keep saying wrong players OUT OF INTEREST AND UTTER DISBELIEF could you possably explain to us who are these magical forwards that would replace higuain-kun

there already in the squad ,we are winning and doing it hard nosed everyone wants to beat us everyone wants to spoil messi's world cup

everyone of them so far has payed for that we have dominated possession -passing running fare play etc etc

messi is 4x man of match

@Arg2014, I don't get your motive of posting the same stuff over and over again criticizing Argentina NT as if we have done nothing right, and let me remind you, we've won 4 games in a row and other top favorites also struggled and needed luck to advance and you had the guts to believe they will beat us but got no faith that we could actually turn this around and prevail in the end, what kind of a fan are you???

We all get it that you are a pessimist and you don't think Argentina have a chance to win the world cup, that's fine, everyone can have their own opinion but STOP TRYING TO prove that you're right when we're still in the midst of pursing the title. Stop talking as if it's already over when we're still in the middle of it for god sake, anything can happen.

Mundo Coaches:

Nobody is replacing FF with Demi. Sabella will stick with FF, that's it. I'm afraid he will also stick with Gago & Higuain. We can win this match regardless of the formation or selection, as long as all the players give 100% and we don't do silly mistakes in the back. I don't believe that Gago & Higuain are not fit, otherwise they would be on the bench. Sabella can easily tell if they're fit or not from training.

Be positive and say VAMOS ARGENTINA!

Arg2014: You come on here and SPOUT the same things over and over again..We get it, your a pessimist and you believe Argentina does not stand a chance of winning the world cup..So why you keep on writing these irritating post over and over and again is mind boggling..You voted Argentina wont past the quarterfinals, BYE!! If you believe this then put your time into other matters..

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 12:07 PM
Critics, fans and bloggers everywhere have mentioned that Argentina is not looking good with current performances and after 4 games. Messi is carrying the team using his magic, and the entire team and management are holding to a straw in a wild ocean.

Only Messi is playing for the team at the moment, and no one has stepped up, yes Di Maria scored but he was awful for the entire game vs. Switzerland, that was why he wasn't the man of the match. I have been reading a lot that Argentina national team should have been managed under Pekerman, Biela, or Simeone....anyone of them would take Argentina to a better stand because without Messi now, the team would be out from the group stage.

Sabella failed to bring the right players with him and now he admits himself after the match that he's not happy with FF in the defense, not happy with Higuian, not happy with Gago in the midfield. He left players like Fazio, Musacchio, Tevez, Icardi, Gaitan, etc....His team is unbalanced at the moment.

The main problem is the midfield, there is no leader with a personality to take charge of the midfield in the same type as Cambiasso, now he's old, but Sabella should have found a midfielder with same characteristic to lead the midfield. Banega was dropped for fitness concerns but Aguero, Higuain and Gago were all in the band despite their horrendous form, all doesn't make sense.

All critics across the web are saying Sabella lacks the tactical insight and Argentina might get the semi final with luck but will be stopped by Netherlands. The team is playing slow, don't press hard despite the fact it is the biggest attacking team coming to this competition. The formation of 5-3-2 failed miserably and 4-3-3 showed flaws in the midfield and attack because of the personnel he's selected....Sabella hasn't done his homework well before the world cup....he's practicing his scenarios in live matches. Messi can't ride the team every match because he's human with limited power.....the team is waiting for messi to save them every time in the last second, but that doesn't work in modern football, as a reality Maradona's days are gone!!!

@argentina blood

I like your midfield but not Defence & Offence! Why?

Because when there is Demi, there is trouble too! I never trust him, never. I couldn't even remember when is the last time i saw Demi played great for Argentina!

Simply because Messi needs player infront of him! Except it, 4-4-2 is not suitable for Messi. He needs player beside him as much as possible! That means 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 are pefect for him.

But trust me, i trully like your midfield! It has both defensive skills & creativity!! This kind of formation suit us only if we play without Messi. Such as, like Italy match!

Posted on 7/3/2014 at 11:08 AM
I remember that you are the same people who had a doubt about Romero and Rozo...You are the same people who talked only negative about them but they are the two players who are consistent along with Messi in this tournament.

Now you all are talking too much about Demi..He will prove all you wrong if he is started..You people say he is slow...So Why did Pellegrini preferred him as a CB in Manchester city where top and fast teams like Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal were great rivals ?

Is Belgium that much fast ? Is Demi really not best CB? Come on grow up guys..don't always make comment to comment...Take what sabella does..He knows more than ourselves...As though he is not picking any player without best perform in training session..he knows all about formation , tactics and game...And again you are the same people who praised his tactics against Barcelona ..I didn't get one thing..Why you always comment comment comment bla bla bla ..I'm tempted ..I can't head bad things like these..Score will be Argentina-2 Belgium - o ad again you guys will talk bla bla bla..It's because you people as own best pic that does nt mean Sabella should do that..

One like Gago ..another Biglia ...Shit..

demi would been good vs bosnia and iran.

basanta has been practicing one v ones today, i think he is likely to start on the LEFT

(United States)
Posted on 7/3/2014 at 10:42 AM
Even though f fernandez is playing bad I believe Demi is worse, I can't imagine Demi there in our defense, the guy is mistake machine and very slow and not good in the air like f fernandez, if we have to replace why not basanta in the middle he is got every thing and is tough guy , zabaleta on the right and campagnaro on the left

I will not talk about swiss game.. Now we face belgium different team than all other teams we met.. 1st class players.. Attacking... So fast.. Well finishing.. Good defence!!
How to play: playing 4-3-3 will take us home!! Hazard-mertenz-de brune-lukaku will kill us in counter attack! We will lose 3 to 4 if we play in this formation.
May god give sabella the wise and encourage to play 4 4 2 with a balanced game..
Now we r not facing nigeria-iran-swiss we r facing team has no mercy or space for luck to wait till last minute to let messi score or assist...

Ok.. R u with me?!

Playing 4/4/2 will make us find our balance and play for our chances:

Zaba - demic - garay - basanta

Plzzz demich instead of FF he is shaked everytime my heart blows when he is 1 to 1 or the ball with him.. So we need demich.. But i beleive that sabella in this will not change mind😙

Enzo- masc - gago - dimaria
Sooo balanced.. We can control more the pocession and the counters of belgium.. We will support more our defence..

Messi - lavezzi/ palacio
Messi should return to his postion in this game if lavezzi played making both di-maria and lavezzi our LW / RW 4-3-2-1
If palacio played messi should be behind playing 4-4-1-1

Sabella should rule out HIguain.. Its over ! He played 3 matches with last 120 min we r losing balance with no benefits... Fat - snowman- no feelings- no spirit- with nothing really nothing!!!!

Last word for sabella: Its ur last chance! If u will not read this game rather than changing formation with some encouragement u will lose! Lose 4 years with nothing to remember!!

Plzzz wake up wake up!! Messi cant help u in last minute everytime!!!
The luck will not beside us every time!! Wake uppp!!!!

Thank u all... Vamos argentina.. Comments??

Have trust in Biglia and Perez playing as an 8.

On this day in 2006, Lionel MESSI scored his first ever goal for the Argentina National Team. MESSI scored his first goal for Argentina on March 1, 2006 in a friendly match against Croatia. A match which ended 3-2 in Croatia's favor.
The media in Argentina has been reporting that the AFA has not paid Tata MARTINO or his coaching staff since October.
On this day in 2012, Lionel Messi scored his first ever hattrick for the Argentina National Team vs. Switzerland. February 29, 2012 marked the day Lionel MESSI scored his first hattrick for the National Team in a 3-1 win against Switzerland.
