Kerala – The Albiceleste Capital in India!
I know that Argentina possess a huge following outside the country (me being of them) with undeniable passion for the blue and white colour.

A testament to that can also be found right here on Mundo Albiceleste where as you can see we have readers from all corner of the globe.

Among them, are our friends from India!

As I was told that Kerala has the most fanatical Albiceleste supporters you can find, I demanded for some proof!!!

Thanks to our friend Baker, for sharing these amazing pictures taken from around that city. As you can see, the whole city is geared up for the World Cup!

Now here is a tribute song to our beloved Argentina, done in Bollywood style!

One can only imagine would the situation be like over there, if Messi lifts the trophy on July the 13th

India have about 30-35% Argentina supporter and mostly are Brasil supporter. But here in Bangladesh we got more than 70% total fan of football who desperately support Argentina!

Amazing! For all these, the credits goes to one man. His name is Diego Armando Maradona! I remember when Diego was banned from the WC 94. The commentators where mentioning BANGLADESH as the most mourned country for Diego. And they sed during a game which i forgot. Diego has to be undoubtedly the Best. Pele does not have any affects like that!

Well I was 7 when Maradona magic happened and my beloved Argentina lifted the ultimate.
Then that horrible loss in final in Italia'90
Then that beautiful game against Romania in usa'94
Then that merciless Bergkamp goal in France'98
Then that unexpected unbearable 1 round exit in 2002
Then that cruel 15 minutes where germany equalised in 2006
Then that sad sad loss against germany in 2010
...
its a long wait..
but more the wait more I become addicted to Argentina.
Whether we win or loss, qualify for world cup or fail to qualify for world cup, whether we play the beautiful game beautifully or not beautifully, whether Messi is there or he is not, its only Argentina in all my lives..

If you are;
* You are either an optimist or a pessimist but never become realistic.
* You would be mentally strong in everything except football.
* There is a rebel in you.
* You won't accept everything that media and society forcing on your.
* You are a bad actor.
* Even though you have enough opinions on everything under the sun, you're still confused as hell.
* You really love slow melodious music though you hear all types of music.
* You may look at trend setters but would never be a band wagon.
* You hate glory hunters with real passion.
* You're ashamed of show-off.
* You are proud of your ancestors.
Then you are close to being an Argentine fan.

You GOTTA LOVE THE SUPPORT, gotta love it.

I truly believe that Argentina supporters are among the most passionate supporters if not THE MOST PASSIONATE SUPPORTERS of any nation.

We have THIS deep passion, that burn in our stomachs, I mean look, why do people support a footballing nation especially if you're not ARGENTINE, a nation that haven't won a competitive event since 1993?????? while others have won left right if IT WASN'T FOR THAT incredible burning passion and unconditional LOVE.

C'MON ARGENTINA, make us very proud because by GOD we deserve it.

Great to see this. This is amazing. I live in United States for long now, but I grew up in KOLKATA. I can tell you it is very similar to Kerala. The generation after 86 is all Argentina. Our dad's generation was Brazil but since then the city has become blue and white. There are many many similarities between Kerala and west bengal. But for another day.

INDIA can possibly have more Argentina supporters than Argentina itself..lol!. Its a huge country.

And yeah, recently some usthads(Muslim priests) warned us spending money on appropriate ways such as flex. The reply was hilarious,a flex saying "USTHAD CAN SAY ANYTHING,BUT ARGENTINA WILL BE THE CHAMPIONS" in front of the Masjid.

Holy Sh**t.I'm from Malappuram,Kerala.Baker you overtook me.@John:You can't even cover our 1 percent of passion. Some stories following:
***We don't even know who is our transport minister or wise president, but atleast 100 Argentine players are bihearted.
***In a marriage function during 2006 worldcup in our place the bride was dressed in skyblue Saree and white blouse. Also all the men decided to wear the yellow.
*** I lost two of my friends(just a fight) in the match against Iran due to the problem raised from screaming.
***I counted 3460 flex board in a 1 hour journey.(one flex costs around 100$ average).

Incredible. This was a pleasant surprise.

I am from Kerala too. If I may, can I correct something. The post gives an idea that Kerala is a city. It is among one of the small Indian states, in the southern tip of India, with a coastline of 550kms.

Football has always been a big passion in this state, and seven a side football is the rage in most parts of the state, as large grounds for ellevens are quite rare. The city I live, Kochi, has the second largest stadium in India, which can have 75000 people. In the mid 90's for an India - Iraq game, it infact had even more people than 75000.

There are thousands of seven a side football tournaments in this state, and myself was a player in my younger days. Especially the northern part of this state, a district called Malappuram can be most craziest place filled with football lovers.

Thank you Baker for those pictures. May be all Malayaalee fans of mundoalbiceleste should meet???
