- I didn't know how to feel after the game, I was happy we managed to win, but I wasn't happy during the game for not being able to do anything.

- Not sure if the formation or the tactic was wrong, or not suitable for that game, but just like Sabella, I had no options to change anything once the game started.

- Rojo and Romero had a great game, and I think they are proving why Sabella gave them the trust, and eventually the call up.

- Kun, Pipita, and Di Maria were yet again out of form, and they have to pick it up back very soon.

- I am really praying that France, Germany, Brazil, Chile and Costa Rica manage to finish first, and other than Chile I don't see why they can't. But to be honest, I have doubts that Germany and Brazil aren't looking forward to top their groups, especially if Chile and France did.

Sabella should focus on motivating his team to play at high level, especially our two main strikers Kun and Higuain look tired and were force to played. Di Maria is under perform, Hopefully all the start XI playera can regain their form and sharpness. We're lucky to confirm early qualifications from group stage, but the journey is still long way to go and will face a mighty challenge ahead,

Sabella's confidence and substitute timing should be perfect otherwise it will be a trouble and lost our chance to win this WC.

Ricky and Palacio ought to be given a chance in next game, beside Basanta or Champag

CALM DOWN. THIS IS GOOD MATCH FOR US. WE LEARNED SOMETHING AND THIS WILL ONLY MAKE US BETTER AS OPPOSED TO WINNING 5-0 WHICH WOULD FUCK US UP, BY PLAYERS TAKING THINGS FOR GRANTED. I WANT ARGENTINA TO STAY ON THEIR TOES SO THIS MATCH IS GOOD WORKOUT AND A GREAT TRAINING GAME. THERE ARE NO EASY GAMES. SO STOP BULLSHIT OF GRILLING PLAYERS, STAY POSITIVE AND LOOK FORWARD. NO ONE CARES HOW U WIN, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THAT U WON. WINNERS ARE REMEMBERED NOT LOSERS SO STAY POSITIVE. check this out for the those who dont believe, http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/matches/round=255931/match=300186466/statistics.html

Dinucci - trust me: Higuain isn't fast player. Really. Aguero has a fantastic acceleration. Higuain has... overweight.vSince a few years. I remember Higuain in his early years in Real. He was thin and quite slick player at that time. Today he has a leady ass. lack of acceleration.

Di Maria said the following in a press conference and perfectly sums up the Iran game and subsequent games to com:

"I'm happy with how we're playing. It's not easy when the other team put 11 men behind the ball - it's impossible to play like that.....When you get to the last 16, you come up against teams who like to play, who like to attack. They will come out and play and that will suit us. Everyone knows Argentina are much stronger when we have spaces to attack."

The Nigeria game will be a good one as they will come at us and there will be a lot more space for our players to play their natural game.

IMO, I believe Sabella has 2 different strategies in place - one for the group phase and another for the knockout phase. Group phase strategy is a minimalist one where players are conserving energy and avoiding injury and doing just enough to get the result....playing in 2nd gear as I mentioned previously. Once we get into the knockout phase, then Sabella unleashes the team and they start playing in 4th & 5th gears and play like we know them to play....I hope :). Sounds good in theory.

Vamos Argentina!!!!!!

There is no fighting spirit. Off ball movement is awful. The players are conserving energy as if they guaranteed winning.

Look at Zabaleta when he tackled the Iranian player inside the box! He could have tackled him before he entered the penalty area.

the game with iran was a training game.

someone must of offended messi at the end, because he just put it away.

and what's with fifa and the noon games. the argentina squad is just getting back to the hotel at that time.

that's how good argentina is, they go out with their girlfriends, party, get to the hotel, get changed and then play a world cup match and win.

the best time to play in brazil, is the evening, just when the sun is going down, it's cool, you ate and had sufficient time to wake up, shower, prepare, beat your opponent and then go out and have a drink at the beach to celebrate.

After two games the positives are

1) We don't have many players with yellow.
2) We don't have players with major injuries. Although some players are still not match-fit (read Kun, Higuain and Di Maria).
3) We encountered two teams with a very different approach. One is playing open and high pressing game and the other is playing parking the bus and very compact game. So, hopefully the coaches and players will know where our weaknesses and how to improve them.
4) We looked sluggish and the team have yet clicked but we can only get better from here.

I read on other forums some Brazillian supporters already dismissed this Argentina as the worst team and Sabella is a coward. But we have to bear in mind that World Cup is not won by the team who play the best football in the first 2-3 games. And we still have 6 points besides many of our players are off form. It is a month long tournament and whoever clicked at the right moment is gonna win the Cup. As I said, we can only get better as the tournament goes on and hopefully this time Argentina will win the cup.

One main problem:

-lack of movement and struggle
Aguero and Higuain just stand. Higuain is heavy and SLOOOOOW
He has a leaden ass.

But there's one an optimistic thought:

We have Palacio and Lavezzi (also Perez) who will be running and struggling for sure.

i love being amounst THE IGNERENT here in the uk with there CHEST BULLSHIT AND HATRED AND ENG-ER-LAND DRUNK SCREAMING

argentina are the most professional well set out nation on earth at FOOTBALL there players and depth of players is UNMATCHED

sabella seems very very professional and i not only want to see them win with great professional play i want this to be the start of the BIG COME BACK for argentina we need to dominate we need to keep winning cups

what we are all forgetting is argentina even more so than germany are PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICENT

every world cup we have a PROFESSIONAL MILITERY LIKE PLAN OF ACTION (EXCEPT 2010 MARADONA) IF HE STUCK WITH HIS BORING 442 HE COULD HAVE HAD A PLAN

RIGHT BACK TO POINT ....argentina are efficent they sey up to play a very precise way get to the final and win it they do this at every level from youth to full world cup and olyimpics THERES ALWAYS A MILITERY LIKE DRILL TO FOLLOW..

in 2006 it was possesion football keep the ball win the cup but bad luck-german cheating and peckerman subing roman cost us

in 2002 it was ball possesion again but to attack in endless waves and desimate the other team THINK OF THIS AS THE OPPERSITE SIDE OF THE 2006 COIN

in 1986 it was hard nosed side working hard with and without the ball , in 1990 it was again hard work and keep shape

ARGENTINA ARE EXTREAMLY PROFESSIONAL
now in 2010 maradona could have took us to the final with his boring 442 but he desided going full blown attack and a 41212 formation

the germany-uragauy beating 442 with training was good enough to win..
in2014 you can see sabellas plan is to win thru professional drilling of the team....

he started boring and tight we scored a early goal we sat on it in the second hald yes we scored but we conseeded also

against iran we looked drilled and in shape but are 443 wait and counter couldnt work so we went full blown posession football and played the waiting game

BUT we had players not doing there bit higuain kun dimaria,i can see us ether winning it or again getting unlucky

argentinas problem is this PROFESSIONALISM we always have a SET PLAN DRILLED INTO THE TEAM THAT IS STUCK TOO

this happened yesterday and iran played there hearts out against it but messi magic settled it

this is why we get frustrated the plan ether DESTROYS TEAMS or it goes a bit wrong and we get a boring long drawn out game then right at the death the coach goes say 424 and goes into scamble mode to score THIS AGAIN HAPPENED YESTERDAY

its very very professional and because we are so world class other coaches and teams play out of there skin against us NO OTHER TEAM AT THE WORLD CUP FACES THIS

no other group has had teams go at it like those facing us ITS DONE BECAUSE ARGENTINA ARE SO GOOD ITS OUT OF RESPECT FOR US...

against teams in the nock out stages were you have to win we will look very very very dangerous but some players need to start readying themselves higuain-dimaria-kun

romero is a shot stopper sabella was right to keep him he stops those kind of shots we shall be fine with him in goal

argentina have gone thru clear in a tight group no fighting no injuries no gut busting games no shit

steady as she goes ---the uk tv pundits THE GOOD ONES could see this argentina will go thru top of group they will likely face SUCH TEAM AND SUCH TEAM you could see they respected argentina and there precise planning and how they can easy win this world cup without even trying hard

everything is in place dont worry we just need are forwards to function better ITS A MACHINE A CPL OF COGS ARE A BIT RUSTY

Iran tried to play 130 passes in the whole match yesterday. Which is a world cup record since 1966. Of course we wouldn't be facing such teams everyday, may be never again in this world cup.

I would continue taking positives till we lose. There are indeed a few positives from these 2 matches:

1. We didn't lose a match. There have been many upsets so far, we avoided them somehow. 2 matches, 6 points.

2. Lionel Messi has started the tournament with great style. 4 years back, these same shots would be hitting the posts or saved miraculously by the keepers. This time, he has luck and maturity both. 2 matches, 2 fantastic goals.

3. Our biggest fears are fading away quite fast. Romero has made 2 match-winning saves in these 2 matches. The save from the Bosnia corner (1st half) was top class. The save from Iran header (end half) was match-winning too. Rojo seems much better than nonsense. Gago doesn't seem to be a man of glass anymore. We all thought he can't play 2 matches in a row.

4. All our potential contenders have moved to the opposite side of the bracket. Spain are already out. Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Uruguay all are heading towards that other half of the draw. WE CAN GET TO THE WORLD CUP FINAL WITHOUT PLAYING A SINGLE WORLD CUP WINNING NATION EN ROUTE.

We have everything in our hands now. The problem is not 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. The problem is how our players are playing their game. A few things we would have to improve:

1. Aguero and Higuain must shine.
2. Garay, Fernandez, Rojo need to go one notch up to start converting those setpieces.
3. We need to see more of Biglia, Ricky and Demichelis. Yes, Demichelis.

Agree we need lavezzi for on for his pace and ability to run past defenders. Also palacios is so underrTed I admit 2006 I didn't want him in the squad , as we had better forwards but now he proved his work ethic and scoring skills. Remember vs Trinidad how he ran to keep the ball in for the goal. Excellent off the ball unlike bad touch fatty higain

he was not the only one, gago also was holding the ball too long and ending up losing it, but i'm an eternal optimist and i think the nigeria game will be better in that nigeria play more open football and at a higher tempo, so hopefully it will make argentina move the ball faster.
Look at the teams like germany and holland who looked so good in their first games, in the second games they played u could see the kinks in their armor, so is better not to play at your best in first few matches and take it a bit easy like argentina are doing, but need to be careful u don't take it toooo easy.

I think Argentina needs Lavezzi on the right wing for one of Higuain or Aguero and Perez in for Gago. We need more speed, infiltration and depth coming from down the wings. We are way to static and slow for the moment because some players are not really 100 percent fit or in the best of form.

imo the problem is more the pace and tempo we are moving the ball at. by the time we are getting the ball to the forwards the opposition defence is solidly in place, even when iran broke we were too slow on the counter attack, the players need to move the ball much faster to break these types of defences, and maybe a couple of players are still finding their form, but when we up the tempo like we will need to do against nigeria i think we will look a lot better and play a lot better. also i think we need the forwrds to run at the defenders more and create space. 1 other thing we need to pass and move but instead the players just seem to keep the ball too long looking for idk a killer pass but that's hard when u have a wall in front of you so u need to keep the ball moving and it needs to be at pace to get those defenders to move, umm anyway just my thoughts.

I think de prblm for di maria is he is extremely left footed.... Playing in that position de only think n his most dangerous thing is crosses, but we hav only higuain to receive that crosses n in de cases like yesterday it is impossible to get de end of xrosses when 9 or 10 big figures defending inside de box.... So i prefer him in de central role or right wing where providing thru balls a little more easier.... Also 1 thing dat impressed me yesterday is lavezzi dribbled past them even better than messi 1 or 2 times.... So i think in midfield he will more useful, his pace n trickery may atleast provide some freekicks around de box... Rojo-lavezzi combination thru left flank n zabaleta-di maria combination thru right flank n ricky thru middle as a classical playmaker with higgy/kun n messi upfront.... Masche staying back concentrating only on protecting defense.... Itz great... Sabella need to open his eyes n use effective n hungry players over star value...

You guys are negative about Federico, but Garay was as bad as Federico in Iran game. He was shaky as well. Only defender, who was kind of good, was Rojo.

It's funny, that some of our biggest fears has been playing properly. Romero (I was one of his biggest opponents( has played decent, Rojo has been one of our best players.

But it's not reasonable to praise Romero too much, because against Iran he was good, but not extraordinary brilliant. He did his job, but there were on miracle saves.

I am happy, because our forwards has been avarage, but in reality, they are not. I better choose, that aiming and passing is bad in group stages, than in play-off's. And also the good thing is, that even with bad game, when you see highlights, we made many-many good scoring chances against bus-parking team.

Even if we don't have proper midfield...

I think this game is a blessing in disguise for the sabella & team to learn how to do against a team which keeps all players in their own half and counter attack.
I am confident that team will do great in future games.
Sabella should try ricky/enzo for higuain/aguero against nigeria.

elpipita,
i havent changed position with gago...
gago is a technically and smart gifted player and physically weak...

and yes defense has to be priority for the 2nd midfielder, when there are other 4 players to whom defending is like eating vegetables to a child...

i think gago has a place in the team, as a substitute, when the other team is tired and gago is fresh... i rather c gago run 30 minutes, than job 60 minutes...

Rojo is banned vs Nigeria so will see BASANTA or campa.

Lavezzi palacios if start will be really good . Guys on bench are always more hungrier. Higuian and ageuro think they are indispensable but they are wrong, same for di Maria. Drop them so they learn to become hungry again

First Of all Argentina should focus using these 2 formations: 4-2-2-2 against average opponent and 4-2-3-1 against tough opponent...

next Should be 4-2-2-2
zaba campagnaro Garay Basanta(even.if i prefer a real

Enzo Mascherano

Palacios Ricky

Messi Higuain

Ps...I would start with these players for Nigeria match but in knockout i would bring back DiMaria in starting lineup. Every player needs to move off the ball, Im tired of seeing Messi walk

Messi again! Like I said in a previous post, come the moment cometh the man! Brothers and sisters, the first part of the mission has been accomplished, qualification from the group. Nigeria will park the bus in the final match as a draw is enough for them to qualify. Let them do so, they will not be as disciplined defensively as IRAN(well done to them for a wonderful team effort) and if SABELLA starts Lavezzi and Perez I can see ARGENTINA winning convincingly. We will not lose this match. @ Pradi, you said earlier " imagine if we play like that against BRAZIL". If BRAZIL set up like IRAN there wil be riots in the stadium! and even if some teams try and play counter attack against us, so what! SABELLA isn't stupid! despite what some of you guys are saying. Too much negativity here. Time to man up guys, like MESSI! VAMOS ARGENTINA!

heyyy!!!!

4-3-3 will not bring us world cup!! no balance counterattacks are fatal so: 4-2-2-2 is the best.. Sabella should try this vs nigeria.. They r so fast we should absorb them then counteract... These r some comments on the players:
1- Romero: thank u.. Keep on
2- zaba: u should remember mancity
3-fedrico: ohh fedrico u r not confident u r shaky
4- garay: excellent
5-rojo: good..keep on
6-masc: good but he should forget playmaking
7-gago: should be faster and smarter
8-di-maria: think then run
9- higuain: terrible
10-aguero: should share messi more he is so far
11- messi: how much i love u

Formation against nigeria:
Romero
Zaba - demech - garay - rojo
Masc Enzo
Gago
Di maria. Messi
Aguero

Apart from poor finishing of half chances, I really didn't see a terrible performance by our team. If anything, would have liked to see a bit more energy from the forwards Hig and Kun to create space, but that's about it. Messi had 3-4 guys on him, Higuain and Aguero 2 guys each. No matter the formation and personnel, we would still have run into the red brick wall. Since the qualifiers we've been relying on counter attacks from turnovers, corners (in our box) and the like but Iran had prepared well and that resource of goal opportunities was extremely scarce. What else could we have done? I'm not convinced a Tevez or Pastore could have passed or dribbled their way through. They would just as easily lose possession and turn over the ball allowing an Iranian counter attack.

Mascherano made a beautiful tackle in the second half, Romero some good saves. The quality of our crosses were generally poor and this game was one where someone other than Messi (without a foresome on his ass) really needed to step up and score. Lavezzi and Palacio buzzed around and caught just enough attention for the goal, so it was a decent team effort.

For me, the ref should have handed out the yellow cards much earlier and I think Iran deserve what they get so far. Their tactics tend to result in low scoring affairs and with a 0:0 against Nigeria, 0:1 against us they can only blame themselves for playing only to defend and stifle our threat and not committing a couple more guys forward to increase the chances of a rebound or something.

I think other than Costa Rica, we probably won't come across another team with tactics as extreme like this and we should keep going with 433 or 442. We've passed the test against a strong Bosnian side with ease (consider only 2nd half), passed a an ultra defensive side with a bit of luck and genius. Next will be a physical side. Overcoming these teams, not being fully in gear, no premature euphoria and Messi stepping up to be counted - all makes for great World Cup winning story. Hope it ends well!

Some people here in mundo can be quite fickle; when it comes to Gago most people on here changed their tune quickly after the Bosnia game and the general consensus was that "Gago is a must start", now Gago is a liability and must be dropped.
I understand that people are disappointed with Gago's (and the entire team for that matter) performance in the match but we can't be picking up and then dropping players like cigarettes.
Gago is a deep-lying playmaker, his job is very clear; take the ball from the defense and move it quickly up the midfield to messi and co. thus facilitating a quick counter-attack and he does that like no other as clearly evidenced by his impact in the Bosnia game.
When a defensively organized team like Iran cover almost every inch of their penalty box and rarely come out to attack, Gago's function is automatically inhibited.
Regardless of how he played in the Iran game Gago is still a must and will continue to be so because frankly he's the most apt player at finding spaces and generating incisive passes from the midfield.

Some of you have noted that Gago is weak defensively, well to be honest defense isn't his primary function yet he does the best he can, he's always put in a 110% in matches both defensively and creatively.
With that being sad I do agree that Gago and Masch on their own aren't enough to stifle an opposing team's counter attack especially when Dimaria and Messi are losing possession left and right while kun and pipita are invisible all the while offering little in the way of tracking back/defending.
One possible solution is to drop one of kun or pipita and add Biglia to make a solid 3 man defensive/central midfield unit, which gives Gago alittle more breathing space of creativity and help Mascherano to break opposing counters.

Zabaletta and Mascherano have aging legs..and cannot be relied heavily..

Higuain and Aguero..they are still good..Di Maria needs competition within the team..and he needs to play as a team..

I understand what you are saying about sabella and some of his qualities are to be admired and for me if he wins w/c then yes he is a great coach (yes the stakes are high) but failures to win it make him the same as the rest a solid coach as he cant add Europe success as so many managers do these days like d.s who even if he does not win a w/c could still be a great coach.

as for deschamps you and I are singing from the same book as I too have been speaking highly of the frogs and I have posted them on here as my dark horses, people who have written them off are very foolish to do so.

442 is a system and again have mentioned it here as my preferred option.

pablo.d,
in the last year i have mentioned in this forum that i like deschamps and sabella ... then people critizice me for praising france, but now it is argentina who is not looking good...

sabella is not artist like bielsa, my favorite coach...

but in short, i like sabella because he is a tactician, he manages human emotions well, and his humbleness in argentina futbol is needed to keep argentina's feet on the ground... so often we think we will win just bcs it is argentina...

only sabella seems to know that it does not work that way, and is not afraid to tell the press so..

coaching argentina is incredible difficult.... the coach is expected to take orders from the president of AFA, from the news papers, from the star players, and even suggestions from the president...

sabella has managed to sail through this mess and take the pressure off the players...

sabella likes to play with strong defensive team, so it is very hard for him to manage a team built around forwards.... but i think in the end he will rely on a 442; 424...

Faisal,

the 433 formation is inherently flaw unless you have 3 or 4 super fast defenders...

in our case our defenders are good but turtles, dimaria is more a forward than a midfielder, and gago was kicked out 3 teams in europe for free bcs of his defending...

we should play a 424 with masche and demise in the midfield, or a 442 with fideo, enzo masche and biglia; with gago as a substitute the last 30 minutes when the other team is tired...

as to rojo, he is a good defender, playing in the toughest position in futbol...
and romero will perform like he did in the first 2 games, but will for sure manage to make a couple of blunders in the world cup... still, sabella did right not to put willy caballero on the bench, bcs, like i said before, it would add tension to the team and make romero more insecure...

Never before have i seen a player skip past masch so easily the way they did in the last two matches....
Aguero and higuain have been absolutely crap as well..no understanding no chemistry with the team no interest in playing football....nothing at all....

For me best player has been rojo...period..

garay has been decent as well

zabaleta and fede fernandez are aagain absolute disaster...

But few positives are:-

1. we are winning even when we are playing like crap.always a good sign
2. getting a few slices of luck....in previous world cup s we played each and every team of the park and lost to the first decent team...hope that trend will be reversed this time around.

I am not expecting much improvement against Nigeria match as we already qualified and possibly would be group champion if we at least draw against Nigeria.

I think players are intentionally not giving their 100% and may be will be more open and intensified at the knockout stage.

Most terrifying news for opposition team is Messi's performance. Because he's yet to give his best performance of the tournament but still manage to score two wonderful goal in fact all of our 3 goals coming from Messi's brilliance. So, we could expect sublime performance from him at the knock out stage.

Overall, Our promising site is defense but I am sure our forward will click very soon.

After completing first two matches, here is my evaluation regarding our performance.

1. Argentine team is all about Lionel Messi. Sabella scares to disappoint Leo. He took 75 minutes to make double substitution. Sabella thinks about messi 100 time before make any choice. Poor guy he fall into a real trap. But if it give us a world cup I won't mind.

2. So Far, Both Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo proved us wrong. In fact performance wise they are the best two player of the team.

3. Irony !!! Our defender looks more promising then our beloved forward.

4. First match lacked :
a. Game Formation
b. Passing accuracy & Vision
c. Speed & team mobility
d. Players Dedication

5. Second match improvement:
a. Game Formation
b. Passing accuracy & Vision

6. Need to Improvement for coming games:
a. Speed & team mobility
b. Players 110% dedication

Here are the awards (Performance wise):

1. Most valuable player of the team

---> Lionel Messi

2. Most promising player of the team

---> Marcos Rojo

3. Top 3 best player of the team

---> Lionel Messi; Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo

4. Top 3 worst player of the team

---> Sergio Aguero; Javier Mascherano and Angel Di Maria

5. Best Forward

---> Lionel Messi

6. Best Midfielder

---> Fernando Gago

7. Best Defender

@travis: "iran should never be at world cup at all". what exactly do you want? you want Iran to play the game that suits you? that would be smart!

Iran played their game. they did great. and not sure if you've actually seen the match, but they were much much more dangerous than us in the second half. and they deserved to win. I am a barca fan and for years i've been watching this non-sense talk about parking the bus. Get this: TEAMS PLAY THE WAY THEY WANT AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT PLAYING DIRTY. PERIOD.
Its then up to us to break the defense. we didn't because we had a load of crappy players that were too freaken static. and defensively we had Mascherano and Gago looked like idiots when Iran players were skipping past them at every counter attack.

Stop blaming other teams. other teams play their game and kudos to them. its up to us to play ours and so far we're crap.

we are lucky to win. iran should never be at world cup at all. they are a complete mess team. i'm so happy when messi score the goal and run around their goal post, and taught iran about what is football, and that they are looking at the king of this sport.

romero the clown saved argentina 3 times. otherwise the score would be arg 0 iran 3.

messi 2 seconds magic, i'm enjoying it. i think i blink my eyes 2 times in utter disbelief while he already put that ball into the net.

maria - complete crap. i don't think he should play anymore. stone, and stupid.

F4 is utter crap. messi/kun/hig/maria won't work. i say higuain is out. 2 upfront, maria go home. perez in, alvarez for hig, or maybe palacio.

@arg2014.. Agree with your point "No fighting spirit". With the lucky draw that we received we have the best locations to play with least travelling, we should be showing some intensity.
I did not watch Nigeria Vs BH, but the newspaper says with both teams attacking both had many chances.

Next match is going to be similar to the match against Iran as Nigeria just needs a draw. But they have better finishers. Its not gonnu be easy.

The last minute foul that we gave to Iran in the first half, the subsequent foul kick and the missed header by Iran had all the signatures of Mullers first goal in 2010.

@Lucas: I agree Messi needs to practice more on his free kicks, when was last time he scored from a free kick for Argentina? Some work needs to be done in this area. Messi is human at the end.

On sports net are saying that Argentina is the least impressive team from S.America after 2 matches of all 6 nations. The major problem is there is NO FIGTHING SPIRIT. Don't tell they were saving energy please, a draw could put them in a danger zone today. Iran was thrashed in 2006 by other teams and we struggled to find the net, another Romania team. Bosnia were a rival against us whereas Nigeria gave them a football lesson in 29 min time.

*** Sergio Romero and Lionell Messi saved the day for Argentina and put us in the knock out stage. It is concerning that no Argentine player has scored other than a brilliant Lionel Messi. The team is becoming too dependent on him. Naturally we can't expect him to rescue us in every game with his magical moments.

Now Sabella has the opportunity of trying changes in midfield, attack and the combination between the two, in the match against Nigeria.
