Thank god no major injuries, only Palacio took a heavy blow injured but it does not too serious coz they were sharing jokes with Pocho and Kun on the bench. 3 weeks without playing had most guys lacking sharpness but it's normal. Messi looks better than the late Barca version.

The Slovenia game will give us more insight into our preparations coz they'll present a more testing challenge. I'm watching them now going down to Uruguay. 1 nil, Cavani strike. They look like a Parking the bus team.

After seeing players getting injured left right and center, no need to go full speed..

It seems like CR is fighting for fitness.I heard he's still suffering from his hamstring injury and knee injury..

2nd half was hard to read since there was a substitute every 5 minutes. Basically a run out for the subs. Thought Enzo looked best. Biglia made a couple of errors and was a bit too slow in launching the attack although I'm confident in saying he's a much better tackler than Gago.

TT tried to polay more aggressively in the 2nd half but their offense is so poor that it's hard to judge our defense at all.

I said in my earlier post that I wanted to see the players making crisp passes and beautiful movements..This was a good workout..The team wasn't making miss place passes, which was great..Very compact midfield..

Good to see the players hold back in the last 15 minutes, didn't want to see Trinidad embarrass..

@Pino, there was that one play where Lavezzi should have crossed to Palacio rather than shot but overall we have been passing too much in the box - Lavezzi's first where he passed incorrectly instead of shooting (that's why he got a bit too aggressive afterwards) and Di Maria's. Not easy to find the balance there but I prefer them to take their shots fearlessly then cutsey passes in the box.

Palacio and Lavezzi have both played pretty well but you can tell how we miss Higuain. We have more focal point with him in the offense on crosses and he's probably the best finisher on the team.

The difference between Zabaleta on Hugo offensively is also a big deal. Let's hope Zab stays healthy.

Here is a fact, we are not only enjoying the best attacking force in the world, we are wondering how the hell they are the weirdest!

Playing with Kun and Pipita is a big difference, even Messi finds himself better on the field, however, despite the chances he wasted, he was awesome as usual.

Lavezzi and Palacio, must take their shoes for tuning!

If such situation happens in a knockout stage, we could get doomed.

It's better to have 2 clear chances and score them, than creating hundreds and fail to change the score sheet.

After all, this would be a very good test for the squad, to put their bones together and work on their final spots of weaknesses.

We have all what we need to test in T&A, it was a good pick!

Now I'm waiting for Sabella's touch. You can evaluate his tactical influence now.

Then we talk again!

I don't even understand the comments here. Argentina created at least 8 CLEAR chances in one half of football. You are not going to do better than that against a team parking the bus. There's absolutely nothing to complaint about here except finishing and a couple of times when there was a pass too many.

Defensively, only one bad counter was given up. Not sure who was at fault but I think it was in midfield. And then there's Romero doing his best clown job despite of extremely limited opportunities.

Overall the team has been playing well with quick attacks. Too much deference in the penalty box - the first chance that Lavezzi centered should have been at goal and Di Maria's too Messi. Just finish! No cutsey passing in the box.

Don't understand why we are blaming Demichelis. What did he do wrong? His last man tackle was perfect. Have to look at what happened on that one but I think it was Gago who led the player coast right by him.

I don't like Messi being played as midfielder. That's the same as Messi of WC 2010 then. Sabella needs to use Messi as false 9 not midfielder. Lavezzi and Palacio or whoever the strikers are must play wider so Messi will be the false 9.

Messi was good, but he was good too in WC 2010, the problem is he was used as midfielder.

A lot of work to be done for Sabella tactically.

lavezzi's miss wouldn't happen at psg. that's the problem.

a professional footballer plays for money, the world cup isn't played for money.

at psg, lavezzi would have put the ball in the net, not try to complete the perfect play with the perfect goal.

because if he missed like that, he would be benched, transfered and lose the guaranteed millons and possibly end up playing for way less.

if you play bad or not your maximum effort on a national team, the worst is you don't win the world cup, you watch it on t.v. on a beach, in the sun, like tevez, and it doesn't cost you any money.

but, this is a friendly, not the world cup, argentina can't play arrogantly and like the win is guaranteed. they have to get things done, which is put the ball in the net and win.

lavezzi also missed an easy little cross to palacio who was wide open on a 2 on 1.
