Oh Lavezzi starts, Higuain is not among the subs. Di Maria, Lavezzi, Palacio, and Messi as the fantastic four

I am not telling you that I would rather meet Ecuador than Switzerland. I am telling that I would rather meet Ecuador than France, which is realistic.

I am not rooting for Switzerland to make it to the second round at all.

From your post, you seem to think that I was thinking of Ecuador instead of Switzerland in the second round. No, that's wrong.

Kid, I don't believe Switzerland will top group E, so it is between Ecuador and France.

If Ecuador meet Switzerland, I will want Ecuador to win so they will finish SECOND.

I will support Ecuador just like you... but to finish second as I do not believe France will finish third or fourth.

Really, Italy cant beat Luxembourg?

El principe: Well for me Ecuador will be tougher than the other teams from the group..I mean Switzerland is not all that, why because they have a few Napoli players on their squad you think they will be a threat? Ecuador will be better than both France and Switzerland, remember you hear it from me first..I'm no supporter of Ecuador btw..France and Switzerland have never beaten Argentina..Ecuador have beaten Argentina before and drew the last time with us..

When did Switzerland beat us?

1966: Argentina 2 vs Swiss 0 - FIFA world cup

1980: Argentina 5 vs Swiss 0

1984: Argentina 2 vs Swiss 0

1990: Argentina 1 vs Swiss 1

2007: Argentina 1 vs Swiss 1

2012: Argentina 3 vs Swiss 1

Switzerland have never beaten Argentina in there country history..Maybe you're talking about some Youth football tourney..

Cutting his hair might make Martin a touch faster and also eliminate his 1 howler a game tendency? ;). Can't wait to see this game.

Personally, I don't really care if we are not the dominating tiki taka side, instead I'd be happy with a clean sheet and explosive clinical counters. After re watching all the goals of the qualifying game and that match against Brazil, it just seems we let in too many goals for a team that can win a WC. This is what I hope Sabella has fixed in this time.

Kid remember one thing. Argentina records in the WC against South American teams are fantastic. So if we face any South Americans in the elimination rounds, it is a bonus. You can not be scared that your Ecuador or Chile will beat us.

@Kid

Disagree...

Ecuador is always easy for Argentina when full team.

So what? You support Ecuador for your love of Ecuador 10%, Chile 10%, Uruguay 10%, and Colombia 10% against Argentina?

I am not like you. I do not hate them, but I do not care about them.

Check the records of Argentina-Ecuador. I am not scared against Switzerland, but the Europeans teams are sometimes womanlike. They will do anything to get victory, even if that means being super ugly.

I know this is irrelevant, but Switzerland beat us in friendly 4-5 years ago.

South American teams never do that. They appreciate beauty. That's why I want Ecuador.

el principe I think you're overrating the French and Swiss defense..Argentina would be better against the Europeans in the second round..In South America, Ecuador can play for 180 minutes straight in the conditions (lol), I rather the European teams than coming up against those fast pace wingers from Ecuador..

Ecuador game really fit us. I want them in the second round. Park the bus is far from their DNA. I think we would win against them easily if we meet them.

I say it would be at least 2 goals margin if we meet them in the second round.

Any team that:
1. refuse to defend tightly
2. over confident with their attack

will go home when meeting us.

In contrast, teams who think "ugly is beautiful" (tend to play ugly like Chelsea Mourinho), will be a hard match up for us.

Banega exclusion was a risky one though..I feel Banega should have made the cut over Augusto..Sabella put a dagger right through Banega..I felt it for him, the guy was so anxious for the cup and was certain he would have made the world cup.. Sabella just insist on Augusto for some reason, even though he had a fresh injury leading up to the camp..We didn't get Sosa so we had to get Augusto..

joesoccers Trindad is not a football power but they can play the game, they're pretty decent and will give Argentina a sweat..Trinidad qualified for the 2006 world cup..Panama never qualified for a world cup before yet Brazil choose to play a friendly against them, in the first 25 minutes Panama was better than Brazil...So never take teams lightly nowadays, world football has change, a lot of small countries now have players playing in European leagues be it 1st division or second division leagues..

it's trinidad and tobago, they don't play much football there, they're into cricket.

argentina will stop at 5 and work on technique.

2-0 against is only if argentina want's it to be that score.

2-0 would be against a team like germany or spain, not trinidad and tobago.

their pro league would be equivalent to 3rd league argentina at best, in many parts of the world it would be considered semi-pro.

Hey Guys, Im Lander, It is a great pleasure for me to finally create an account today on Mundo. Trust me I have been following, reading almost all the posts from you guys since after the 2010 world. A world cup that was hurtful to all Argie fans. From Seba, Ziggy regular posts and now to Roy, and Kudos to ROy. I have finally made my account and taught it would be perfect right before this World cup campaign. You guys are like a family man, we have Face so many failures, even when we have come so close to Copa America triumph like in 2004. One thing I notice about us Argie fans is that we are loyal, yes even more loyal than Arsenal fans, and still supporting this team 100%. @Johnny I havent heard that much posts from you lately, and we need more posts from you. I hope the boys and Sabella will triumph in this campaign on high stats #s. May God bless all of you guys.
