Velez Sarsfield striker Mauro ZARATE has agree to join English side West Ham United on a 3 year deal as the club seeks to bolster their attacking line up next season. He is expected to sign his contract on Tuesday.
This would be ZARATE’s second spell in English football after having played for Birmingham City back in 2008 where he scored 4 goals in 14 appearances. The move will also see him reuniting with current Hammers owners Davis SULLIVAN and David GOLD, when they were at the helm in Birmingham in 2008.
Last season’s Argentine league topscorer revealed that he had spoken to Carlos TEVEZ and Javier MASCHERANO about his return to English football.
