Lionel MESSI: We're eager for it to start

Lionel MESSI has arrived to Argentina and spoke about Barcelona and the World Cup.

Lionel MESSI has arrived to Argentina with the World Cup in mind. He spoke about Barcelona and Argentina. Here's what he had to say about Tata MARTINO:

"It wasn't an easy year for him because of the things that happened, the problems which the club had when he arrived, the president. We would have liked to have been champions for us and because he deserved it."

About the World Cup:
"I know what I'm able to give, I'm calm, I have been waiting to start training, at the camp it'll be a new atmosphere. It's very important to us. It's going to be hard since it's in Brazil but our fans aren't far away it's going to be full of Argentines. We're all close, eager for it to start."

Let's see if Messi can get on this list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FIFA_World_Cup_hat-tricks

Only 4 players have two hattricks at the WC: Gerd Muller, Just Fontaine, Sandor Kocsis and of course Gabriel Batistuta.

Great... Now where is the Man City and Inter trio, Mascherano, Lavezzi, Maxi etc?

I wish I could affix some GPS devices to their bodies and track them day and night. Its World Cup time man !!!

Can't believe it has been 4 years already....

Sometimes you have to accept the fact. I love Argentina, but it is not true that Messi played better for Argentina since 2011 (including Copa America 2011) than Barcelona (including all winning tournaments in 2011).

@Kidult

This is to answer you. It comes from the mouth of Lionel MESSI himself:

"As I join up with the national team, the atmosphere is completly different," he said. "Many times in the past when I have gone back to Barcelona, I have played well. Now I am hoping that the opposite happens."

Don't you think Messi hears all what was said about him in the media and very possibly behind closed doors in Barcelona's management offices?

He waited for this time to finally come and here we are, time to show the world just who is the best.

el principe Messi has been better with Argentina than Barcelona for more than 3 years now..Just look back at the Brazil game for example; I have never seen such display like that at Barcelona since 2011...The only difference is that Messi played less games for Argentina..

@arg2014

:)

Kid I hope you won't talk too much about Chile or your Alexis Sanchez in the WC if you don't want us to blame you for being half Argentina-half Chile fans.

You know normally in the past, when it come to Argentina matches in either tournaments or friendlies, you can easily tell that Messi was a lot more comfortable and happy when playing for Barca than Argentina. It had been hard for Messi to fit into Argentina system since he was so used to playing for Pep's/Tito's tiki taka.

This year it has been different. You can tell from Messi's comments that he could not wait to get out of the "wilderness" at Barca and start the Argentina WC training camp.

His season at Barcelona this season has been awful for his standard. In contrast, he's enjoying his best moment for Argentina.

arg2014 If Brazil meet Spain in the second round I think Spain will be a more weaker team (not weak in the sense of the players on their team but the games they will have to play to make it to the knockout round)..Brazil group is fairly manageable while Spain has a tough group..If Spain should meet Brazil in the second round,they will have a more exhausted squad my then..

I have never said here that I want Chile to win the world cup...What I do say is that Chile will top group B and be a possible semifinalist team against Argentina..

I am only supporting Argentina at the world cup, that's that!!

There is no place like home, show them what you can do because it seems many have forgotten!

You know what he is meaning-"Forget about Barcelona,you will see at World Cup what I am able to do"
