Lavezzi & Pastore on Fire for PSG & Much More

Javier PASTORE exclusions from the National Team provisional squad didn’t seem to bother him as he was having a tremendous night with a couple of assists in Paris St Germain 4-0 win over Montpellier.

First Ezequiel LAVEZZI had put the Parisian in front as early in the 2nd minute and then Javier PASTORE gave a through ball for Zlatan IBRAHIMOVIC in the 20th minute to double the lead. He was a provider again in the 49th minute for Lucas MOURA’s goal.

In other matches, of the day; Angel DI MARIA had two assists for Real Madrid as they wrap up their season with 3-1 win over Espanyol.

Pablo PIATTI was instrumental in Valencia’s 2-1 win over Celta Vigo. First he was a provider for Sofiane FEGHOULI in the 41st minute and in the 55th minute, scoring the winner.

In the only match Serie A, Roberto PEREYRA also had an assist in helping Antonio DI NATALE as Udinese drew 3-3 with Sampdoria.

It is that guy mou de reason for di maria's situation last years i think... He has only one thought, defending, in his mind... 2 more years under him angel would have forgotten how to attack... As hazard said... Ancelotti is giving lot more freedom for players to express themselves on de pitch...

dimaria is from rosario, like, messi (and, others maxi rodrigues, icardi, banega, bielsa, tata...)rosario's street and informal futbol gave birth to many starts...

dimaria learned futbol in the streets,by intuition, like messi... messi's plus is that he came to barca early and got formal Training, became a Team Player... dimaria plus is that he has three lungs, but till recently dimaria was not a thinker or a Team Player... now he is learning that, and xabi alonso is helping him learn it...

but what makes dimaria better than others in his Position is that he has three lungs and runs and defends...

@Haman

Unfortunately you did not remember me correctly :)

I was debating with Seba (our moderator) back then in Batista era because I liked the idea of Batista Lavezzi-Messi-Di Maria upfront while he and most others preferred the likes of Aguero or Higuain as Messi's partner.

I was never against Batista. He was OK, although Sabella is undoubtedly better.

Batista tried really hard to copy Barca, for most people it was a moron project, but for me he was on the RIGHT TRACK to get there (beating Brazil, Portugal in friendlies with the trio of Lavezzi-Messi-Di Maria), only the inclusion of Tevez in Copa America ruined his whole plan.... and career.

KidultHood,
what did tata do as a coach? he tried the same thing again and again for 600 minutes to atletico...

luis enrique was not successful as a coach.
but at least his teams did not get worse. celta went from 36 points to 49; and roma from 56 to 61 points...

that is nothing to brag about, but at least luis enrique fought and had the cojones to confront the star of roma...

tata had no cojones to confront anyone in barca.... his grand plan, with 20 minutes left, was to sub xavi for cesc... which is to same, do the same thing he did for 600 minutes and did not work...

messi was bad because of tata... i remember the colombia-argentina game, sabella made changes to the tatics, and all of a sudden messi was able to shine... a player is only as good as his coach lets him be; by making the changes to counter the other coaches tactical decisions...

@msi2: May be. I doesn't feel him like an Argentine.I don't know why.Sometimes it may be due to his Portuguese esque name or his playing style, since there is not many tall enganche/winger for our country. Also from what I have seen he is not an enganche or winger or striker. He is a complicated hybrid

For me Tata Martino, AVB, Tim Sherwood are the same. Let me repeat, I don't care the career of Argentina coaches even if they go jobless for years. I care for any coach who can maximize our PLAYERS potential, even if they are English or Germans or Brazilians or Tahitians, I don't care.

If you make Messi (or our players) the best, I will support you!

I also don't care about other South American teams in the World Cup. Even if Argentina make it to the round of 16 surrounded by 12 European teams and 3 African teams and 0 other South American teams. I don't care as long as we will be the champs!

Unlike you, I don't need to see Alexis Sanchez or James Rodriguez or Valencia to be the stars of the WC to make me happy.

For anybody here who used (or still) to call Di Maria headless chicken because of his poor decisions as you guys Di Maria haters said.

Now I want to ask you, how in the world would a headless chicken with poor decision conquer Europe with his assist despite being played not as his best position (left winger)?

Some say that Mundo today is like a zoo. For me Mundo 3-4 years ago was worse.

el principe: Messi had 11 assist this season in la liga..You have a problem with Tata I can see that, but what did Luis Enrique accomplish at Roma? Tata is a far better coach than Luis.

I PREFER GOAL CREATION ASSISTS ARE A OVER RATED RATING now dont get me wrong the goal needs to be scored but the actual act of LAST PERSON TO TOUCH IT BEFORE THE OTHER GUY SCORES isnt a realistic reflection of class

take messi he CREATS MANY MANY MANY MANY goal opertunitys but may not get a actual assist

dimaria records not the rewl impresvice figure ITS HIS ABILLITY TO CREAT THINGS OVER AND OVER AND OVER thats impressive weather he gets the so called assist or not

Di Maria with 2 assists and is career high in assists with 22 assists in 51 games (17 assists in 34 games in la liga).

Top assists in major leagues in Europe:
1. Angel Di Maria 17
2. Steven Gerrard 13
2. Marco Reus 13
4. James Rodriguez 12
5. Fransesco Totti 10

So Di Maria won "golden boot" for assist category this season.

Regarding Pastore and Lavezzi both are quality ofcorse. The difference is their adaptability.
Pastore:His strength is his passing. He can provide a through ball out of nowhere and we have seen it before at Palermo. But he is not a man to be easily adapted to the team.If someone is ready to give Pastore the key of the kitchen without any other major cooks, then you're on for a treat. As genius he is,he is still confused as a child when played with some other who demands the ball more than him.He can boss a midfield, for sure. But he needs only assistants along with him.He needs to think he's important.Playing wise he should be a free bird.He needs some others(dm)to defend and poachers to finish. He is exactly between a line which separates the need and don't need. He's like a girlfriend in the bed,she can please you all the way only when she feels the need and importance.
Lavezzi:Lavezzi is a whore(not really!!!) who can please anybody with her various acts. She can adjust with the needs of a customer, and is not a bad one in any specs not genius either.
PS:Whores good sometimes than our own girl
