Carlos TEVEZ: "The National Team is my life"
Carlos TEVEZ has come out and has stated that the National Team is his life.

Carlos TEVEZ spoke about Argentina, SABELLA and MESSI. Here's what he had to say:

"The National Team is my life, I hope to get another chance, I'll be ready."

"SABELLA doesn't have to explain anything to me. He's never called me and I don't think he'll do it now. I don't think he will because why call me now when he's never called me before?"

"Nothing has happened between myself and MESSI and I really mean it. The big problem is that the press either says MESSI or TEVEZ."

Fantastic 4 don't want Tevez. What can Sabella do? What do you want, a happy team- or a little strong unhappy team??

@Marateva-- Your are either pulling some absolutely pathetic jokes or you are just a huge tevez fan who is seriously upset about sabella's snub.. Preminition from 1970 to 2026?????? oh yeah well then Mario Zagallo would've excluded Jairzinho,Rivelino,Tostao,Gerson from brazil's 1970 squad and still brazil would've won the WC with only Pele and a bunch of Eskimos???? Man i can tell that you have some serious disorder in your head...

ONLY almighty God knows who is going to win WC.. there are many psychics in brazil like this kid who believes their team will not win the Cup.. 6 months ago a 80-year old psychic predicted Germany will win.. tomorrow some other idiot will say Iran will win the WC.. it's just that you are so upset about sabella's decision to exclude tevez that you cannot see the positive side of it(argentina's dressing room is now a lot more harmonious without tevez) and instead you bring pathetic bogus theories..

i fully agree that AFA is an organization of bloodsucking hyenas but it had nothing to do with tevez's exclusion.. On the Contrary,, if tevez played on the team then it would've been hugely marketable for AFA as tevez has a huge demand amongst the Local argentine fans.. Sabella exactly knew the problems that Tevez was causing in the dressing room and rightfully so,, he excluded him.. Tevez is one of the greatest players of this generation but his hugely egoistic nature always created sharp rifts between players.. if a team is divided in heart,, it can never win anything.. Sabella understood it very clearly,, he removed tevez ASAP and solved the eternal issues of midfield and defense and the result was Argentina becoming no.1 in qualifiers..

if you are an Argentina fan then you must know that no single player is bigger than his country... EVEN Maradona, who has won Argentina the WC single-handedly and defeated argentina's biggest rivals on the biggest stage,, he is not greater than the Country let alone Tevez who continuously flopped at major tournaments..

Tevez is an excellent player but he's an excellent prima maddona too. Let him go to Disney land as he has planned. Maybe if he had said that he's ready to be on the bench entire tournament like Rodger Milla in 90, then chances are that he might have been included in the set-up.

@Marateva
I am sure that most of the bloggers here would agree with you in that there is corruption and nepotism in AFA. But it is not the same way you have mentioned. We have seen favoritism at its peak when Maradona was the coach. Maradona is the one player by watching whose videos I have cried. But that doesn't mean that whatever he says and does is right. Actually AFA would have liked to continue with Maradona. But what happened, as I know it, is that he wanted some of his managerial staff to continue with him. To me, both AFA and Maradona were alike in this. If he was a great coach, what happened with his coaching career at Al Wasl?
Do you remember the way we qualified for the WC 2010? How convincing was that? Do you remember the way we lost to Germany? Doesn't Maradona have any responsibility for that? What do you think? Do you think that excluding Javier Zanetti in the 2010 WC was a great act? What adjective would you use to mention that? To me, it was a criminal act. Can you justify at least 50% of Maradona's team selection? Do you think that player selection under Maradona was better? I would say it was the worst ever. To me Maradona is the best player and the worst coach the game has produced. Argentine football between AFA and Maradona is like between Scylla and Charybdis.

Tevez was his pet player, and for that reason, aguero had to be a bench warmer under Maradona. Have you noticed the way argentina played when tevez is on the field and off the field? For eg: against south koria in WC 2010, aguero came at the 76th minute and the way messi aguero and higuain played for the remaining 15 minutes. Do you think that it is the same as the 75 minutes argentina played when tevez was on the field? Do you remember the reaction from Carlitos when he was subbed against kun in the match against Greece? How was it? Was it a great reaction? Do you think that Tevez is better than aguero? I don't think so. Even in the last Copa America, Argentina's performance was better in the third and fourth match (i.e. against Uruguay) than the first two matches when tevez was on the field. In the Copa, where argentina was expected to be the champions, tevez was the only player to spoil penalty out of all the ten players who took penalty in the match against Uruguay. What a great contribution! By the way, Batista has revealed that there was pressure on him to select Tevez from the part of AFA (whose head is Grondana)! What does that mean? Here also your conspiracy theory cannot be proven.

Messi played more than 60 matches with Tevez. He scored just 19 goals! He has played around twenty matches after tevez was excluded. Still he scored 19 goals! What can we assume from this?

I have only one question, what is more important? The team that plays the best football in the world or just one popular player who has already proven what he is for the NT?

I don't intent to hurt your or any other Tevez fans' emotions. But i do think that these are facts.

Let me tell you something that some people might not know, or might not think of.

in 1970, there was a kid sending a letter to Fifa. In the letter the kid listed out all the winners of World Cup from 1970 to 2026, based on his premonition. Fifa might think it was a joke but it turned out it was no joke. That kid was Jucelino Da Luz, a clairvoyant from Brazil.

He said that Argentina will win the World Cup in 2014. If a football layman like me knew about this, those old men in AFA including Sabella MUST have known about this premonition as well. AFA and Sabella acted as if they already knew they are going to win the world cup. Thus they can afford to dump some players, like Carlos Tevez.

If you know you are going to win no matter what, you can do whatever you want without repercussion. The premonition won't change. If there is possible changes, it was already written in the letter. The 2014 world cup has no change. Argentina will win no matter what. Whether Tevez is in or out of the team, it won't change a thing. Even if you kick Messi out of the team, it still won't change.

So the problem is, AFA want Tevez dead. Tevez only began to critize AFA after they sacked Maradona having promised Maradona to lead the team to Copa America 2011. They assured Maradona this after the 0-4 world cup defeat. But they broke the promise. Tevez defended Maradona thus he criticized AFA. It was a matter of principle.

Thus the mess ensued: Grondona, Carlos Bianchi, Batista, Maradona, Tevez and possibly some other old men in the coaching team or AFA office having a row among themselves. This is the main reason why they want to kick Tevez out of the team. It is purely ugly stupid politics.

With this premonition, they knew they are going to win the World Cup. By not bringing Tevez to Brazil, not only they can punish a criticizing voice of Tevez, but also win "justification" - win the World Cup without Tevez. It will be justified. It will not be any repercussion.

You will then hear a lot of comments saying that not bringing back Tevez to the team is justified. Something like Tevez would have killed off the NT chance of winning the World Cup. All those stupid blah blah blah. But I know the premonition way back in 1970 already said Argentina will win. Including Tevez in the team won't change that. AFA and Sabella (a possible puppet to AFA) just want to make sure Tevez get zero chance to win the world cup.

They want Messi to be the hero. They want Messi to be more popular than Tevez and Maradona. Maradona criticized the corrupted AFA a lot over the years. The best way to do it is to make Messi the hero. To force it. And also force Tevez out of the team. It is political. They use complete silence/ignore to silence the voice of the Argentina people.

When you knew about the premonition, you will have no repercussion whatsoever you do. You are going to win anyway. What is there to be afraid of? So you see all kinds of stupid thing Sabella did: pick players based on favouritism, not based on merit (performance and talent), built a one-man team, make sure that man is the "irreplaceable" Messi, chose players based on nepotism (Messi' friend automatic selection), build Messi a tiki taka to make sure he is the destined hero, completely ignore Tevez and gave him zero chance.

If you won't lose, you can begin to do stupid things like this as well. The premonition is like a trump card to these old men.

But I do hope Sabella can prove me wrong. I won't hold my hope high as he is probably a puppet to AFA, worse than Batista. If Carlos Bianchi or Bielsa were the NT manager, they would have picked Tevez already without a second thought.

I began to hear news about Sabella bringing Franco di Santo to World Cup, ahead of Tevez. Such stupidity.

Try not to bet on or misuse the premonition. There is something called Karma. It exists or not is not up to us.

Feel sorry for Carlitos Tevez.

Tevez only has 13 goals in 64 games because he was given zero chance by Sabella to improve on it. This poor goal ratio largely happened during Basile time as coach - 3 years. Before Basile Tevez played mostly as sub under Pekerman. The Basile period was the poorest period since Bielsa resigned. The team only began to improve a bit under Maradona, until the 0-4 defeat.

Higuain only began to played under Maradona and instantly got the start. He was lucky as the team began to improve. Aguero was sub mostly until Batista/Sabella time. He was also lucky as he barely played as a sub during Basile awful time.

Messi's goal ratio was only slightly better than Tevez's during the Basile period. This just prove that Tevez poor goal ratio wasn't coincident. But Messi was again, lucky. He got vastly improved under Sabella as Sabella tried to build him a tiki taka, same as Batista tried to build him one. Batista failed but Sabella succeeded.

When I said tiki taka, it is not meant to be the same as Barca or Spain tiki taka. It is just similar. It is a variation. Sometimes you see the team struggled to gain possession. Original tiki taka almost always gain better possession than other teams. Sabella was able to switch gear to play defensively or counter attack. So it is a variation of tiki taka, designed just to suit Messi to make sure he fulfils his destiny as the world best legend. It is effective when it works, but also selfish.

So you have 3 luck guys who get improvement on their goal ratio. Tevez was unlucky as he was supposed to grow under Bielsa, one of his 2 mentors. The other one is Carlos Bianchi. But unfortunately, Bielsa resigned immediatly after Olympics 2004. Thus Tevez goal ratio suffered badly during Basile time when he was main striker together with Messi.

Tevez is just one such unlucky bastard.

he has 13 goals in 64 games as a striker.

i think that has more to do than anything.

but as a enganche, playing behind messi, higuain and aguero with dimaria at his side could be a good option against teams that park the bus.

It is not about team chemistry or trouble maker or bla bla bla... Leave all those apart... The question is what is de need for him... We already have 5 strikers... I m afraid do any other team is going to WC with this much amount f strikers... Imho including 6 strikers in a 23 men squad is ridiculous, i feel we need atleast 8 mids in squad... We have astonishing talents upfront but we need to keep de prfct balance on team... Imo dis 5 is perfect, 3 clinical finishers n 2 hard workers... Both lavezzi n palacio will b happy to do any contribution to team, at late sub or anything, but i dnt feel tevez will b happy on such treatments, i believe that is why sabella gone for comparitively low profile lav n pal...

Sorry Tevez. Too little too late.

You had two years of qualifying to SHOW US that the national team is your life and you often chose club over country and when you did choose country over club you talked about retiring from the side and about how taxing the whole situation is. You had a poor run as a player on our team and under performed regularly.

"Nothing has happened between myself and MESSI and I really mean it. The big problem is that the press either says MESSI or TEVEZ."

Tevez is trying to convince everyone here that he's fine with Messi and he can play with Messi. He said that the press is the one saying Messi vs. Tevez.

Well I disagree with Tevez. Maybe it is true that the press is the one saying Messi or Tevez, but it is actually the way Tevez plays that makes the press saying "Messi or Tevez".

Everyone can see that Tevez is not compatible at all with Messi. These two might look OK when facing weak teams like Canada or Honduras, but when it comes to facing strong teams, the press can see really well that there is no chemistry between them.

That's why they said Messi OR Tevez.

@joji ''Any body who thinks that tevez doesnt deserve is a fool.vfantastic four are no longer fantastic.they are injured n out of form.'' What are you talking about?

Messi + Aguero+ Higuain + Di Maria = 99 goals already for the 2013/2014 season, and this with injuries for all four players along the way, no other national team strike force even come close to this number, then you add Palacio and Lavezzi goals and Argentina attackers have rack up a total 124 goals already in the season and I might be missing a few goals too..Tevez time is over for the national team, even Maxi Rodriguez has more goals than him for Argentina..

Tevez is one of my favorite Argie player, but we can't just select players over pure emotions..

Willy Cabellero is the only player Argentina need at the moment not Tevez.

Carlos Tevez also told earlier..
1. I am tired and want to take retirement for Argentina,
2. I don't miss playing for Argentina anymore.
This guy never showed any interest to play in WCQs and also in friendly matches but just before the World Cup, when team had travelled a long journey without him, showing interest to play for argentina.
Why Sabella should select him ?

I am amazed at the self-contradicting statements made by Tevez.
When he was out of the team for some time, he said he doesn't miss the National Team.
Then again he expressed his ambition to be in the team by saying its all up to Sabella.
Then he said he has booked tickets to Disney Land during WC time.
Now he has come up with this statement.
He was the only player to spoil the penalty out of the ten players who took penalty in the last Copa. That was the last time he played for the NT.
How can such a player wish to be in the NT?

I mean There is no business of Andujar, Orion in the team, Palacios role could be effictively play by Maxi, Ricky or Lamela and we need a true SF like Icardi in Palacios spot as he has way more talent and all round play than Palacio, I also defend my decision to pick Fazio and Garcia as both have been nothing short of sensational for their club this season and finally Geronimo Rulli, Argentinas next world class Gk after Willy Caballero.

It's expected Argentina national coach Alejandro Sabella will omit the former Manchester City striker from his 23-man squad. We don't need Tevez. Higuain will be fine, and Messi will show up. Aguero may be made of glass, but if we use him carefully and he insists on "playing through the pain" like he did in the final EPL game, then we aren't so bad off. There is no reason to screw the team harmony for a former(if not still) troublemaker. He's got no experience with the NT after not playing for three years, he would just be sitting on the bench, which would spell a certain doom for the team. You don't snub Tevez for a year and then call him up just to bench him because he can't adapt fast enough. That is sure to set him off.

It sucks it never worked out with him, because I'd love to have (pretty much) the top goalscorers of three leagues when uninjured, but I'm happy with what we've got.

joji says- "Convince me":
I easily pick icardi ahead of tevez at the moment as it means cover for hig and also a plan b if we need a taller player as we lack height up front.

why do you think tevez is suddenly a world beater? as his club form has always been fantastic.
he already has 64 caps for a poor return of 13 goals.
why do you suddenly think tevez values the team above himself?
why do you think tevez will now be happy to play 2nd to messi? and properly at best be off the bench.

do you really want to break the team harmony?
im not hearing any currant players asking for his inclusion.

no one is actually ruled out injured of our strikers (yet) then who are you going to drop? one of the players who got us this far? one of our players who is part of the team harmony because sabella wont be dropping any of them.
I could go on buy I wont for now!!!

@joji, although Tevez issue is not to be discuss anymore, but i do like to convince you about Tevez,
He had never being called under Sabella's team
He had a problem with his attitude
He never shine with N/T
Tevez like to play as a central and goes around him not the other way
The harmony and balance of the team had established since qualifications
It's too late to adjust new player to start and re- shape the tactics and strategy
All the Sabella previous selection are ready to fight at WC
The F-4 is doing well and have the team spirit
Messi is the leader and team was built for him

and the list can be longer. Thanks

- Messi: Doesn't look mentally fit!
