Angel DI MARIA is out injured and could miss the World Cup.

Angel DI MARIA injured himself in the 92nd minute with Real Madrid. Rumors don't look good and it looks like he could miss the World Cup. Nothing concrete regarding his injury.

I like your post Tizeboule. You brought it up right!

Like Messi said about the remaining matches of the league:
We will do whatever it takes to win la liga, we're not gonna waste the given chance!

Then he should say:
We are going to Brazil for Glory. Be the champions or die tryin!
I already participated and failed in two, but the third is mine!

Though this Brazilian teams is very young, Brazilian's passion for this world cup outweighs any weakness this team might have. To be successful on any sport especially in soccer passion for the game is crucial, pride in the national team, its histoy, its glory is very crucial. Unfortunately, that's what Argentina lacks now. Despite all the weapons we have, we don't believe we are the best and that weighs on the team confidence. To be a champion, a team must be ready physically, technically, and last but not least mentally strong.
We lost a copy america 3-0 against an inexperienced Brazilian team ! Wagner love!! Who is that. Yes before the game the coach told them believe you can beat this Argentinian team and play hard, they did. We lost with a healthy riquelme messi tevez gago aguero hheinze Samuel ext on the field.
So the injuries of our current players is not the only problem.

Who's job is it to inspire these players to win a world cup? Sabella
He needs to say it out loud that our goal is to be champion not aiming for semi final because Argentina hasn't been there in decades.
He needs to tell messi that he's getting old and this might be his last healthy world cup and just as Brazil wants to win in order to erase the 1950 disgrace, this team wants to erase 2002 disgrace, we want to dedicate this cup for batigol Balbo veron riquelme Redondo almeida Ortega crespo quilly gonzalez ect

Come on Argentina it's been 28 freaking years you haven't won Nada

Pradi Gago and Banega has been with Sabella since he got the coaching job..Did you even see Banega goal vs Italy? or Banega goal away to Bolivia at high altitude? All these guys are proven under Sabella, so picking guys like Gaitan and Cambiasso is not wise for the team chemistry at this point..If Gaitan were to be apart of the team it would have happen like 2 years ago, I definitely don't see it happening now..Argentina have rack up the most goals out of all national team, trust me, Sabella doesn't need Gaitan at this point..Finalizing the defense and goalkeeper position are Sabella only concern at the moment..Sabella have said time and time again, that the team for him is good from the midfield upward, so why constantly bringing up players names that wont be on the squad? I can't wait for Sabella to select the wc squad so we can move on from team selection debate..

Really i feel gaitan n perez shud be in team... The imprtnt thing is back up to di maria... 2nd injury concerns... Earlier i felt about kun that he is over concerned about WC... Bt nw feel he had really some issues, everytime wen he com back frm injury he is struggling aftr a good run... Against tottenham, barca n now this time... We can risk him in the squad coz he is valued dat much but i m not sure on including both gago n banega... 100% sure gago cant play full games, also not sure hw banega works, so inclusion f perez will b a brilliant option... If anything happen at that time it will really turn out to a helpless situation...

Glad newsssssssssss guyssssssssssssss

"Angel di Maria has undergone some tests have ruled this morning that a muscle tear. The player has a small edema in the pectineus, a muscle up to the groin, because of bad gesture Pucelle last night hunting a fumble. No breakage, so if all goes as expected, reach the final in Lisbon. Vigo is ruled out and will evolve depending on how it could be playing against Espanyol.
In addition, the hip rotadura you have very sore, but you're dealing with the physios. The Argentine therefore relieved breath and his coach, Ancelotti, who may have one of their titularísimos in contention for the Tenth. "

The most important player for us in the world cup. Even more than Messi when we play some physically strong teams who have a specific plan to shut Messi down.

We need Aguero, we need Di Maria, we need Pipita. We need all of them fully fit and ready for the mission.

@Baker:

Hopefully we won't need a replacement, because if that's the case then it won't be pleasant. Since the player who should replace Di Maria will be the same player who will replace Kun (who won't be 100% fit every game in the WC)

That been said, Nico and Salvio should be considered as an option to replace Di Maria, since Ricky, Maxi, and Augusto are only good subs.

Now Sabella shouldn't even hesitate of thinking about Gaitan, the best replacement for Di Maria. Note that he recently played in the same position for Benfica as a left sided midfielder, where he excels in all aspects!

Damn. DiMaria was the only one of the fav4 in top form. With Aguero injury prone and Higuain missing games due to injury and Messi not at his best, we're in trouble. I am afraid Lavezzi and Palacio will be getting a lot of playing time at the WC. DM's replacements in the expected 23 are not even half as good as him... Damn.

I think it's pure mind game from Ancelotti. What will someone think about ucl final now.Now he will be making strategic tweaks in his plans. So he will change the plan in next two league matches. What will it feel like for him,he prepared for a volcano but have to face a tsunami.Tata did the same to ancelotti by playing messi on wing and made him look amateur.

If Atletico wins their match prior to meeting Barcelona, it won't be a must win for them. A draw for them would suffice. And that assumes Barcelona doesn't choke against Elche. Simeone may not want to risk too much of his team given that he can just park the bus. Barcelona fail miserably against any team that does that anyways.

If Atletico Madrid win their next match, Real are out of the title race.

If it's one of those hip injuries its iffy.

Remember that Madrid don't give a shit about DiMaria's World Cup aspirations, and that why haven't really been very supportive of him in the past. IF he is injured, they will push him to play for La Decima regardless.

I'm not panicked or stressed, why? because until we hear something concrete there is no reason to assume that Angel's injury is world cup fatal (I'm a 'glass half full' kind of guy).
And the reason why I'm not stressed is because even if Di-maria's is set to miss out on the WC it doesn't mean the end for the albicelestes, not THIS ablicelestes group. Rarely has the team played with fab 4 and the full squad and they've done just fine; the team survived without kun and Gago for long stretches of time and we all saw that even Messi absence doesn't mean the absence of winning for this team.
Am I bumped about Angel's injury? you bet I am! he's integral to the team but non of you should under-estimate the chemistry and comradery that Sabella has built into this team in the last 2 and half years and I believe that this Argentina can handle any obstacle in it's way.

p.s. I remind all of you that we still have no offical word on Angel's injury so lets just try to wait and see before pushing the panic button.

'We believe that Di Maria is not serious,' said coach of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, at press conference. The problem is that the injury occurred in an area that is more difficult to cure than usual. That must wait for Friday to make studies. Just so you know exactly what it is, although it is a fact that Angel may not be present in the final of the Champions League. We pray to make it the only thing that is lost.
