I think Messi and few other Argentina players will have to fight till the end of UCL and leaque. EPL,La Liga and Serie A are still with tight competition.

El classico today is important for clubs as well as national team. Spain, brasil, argentine portugual players are playing and it helps nt managers to read each and every important players .for sabella he can do homework on pepe and ramos against messi, di maria against daniel alvez , bousquet, xavi/iniesta and febrigas and mascerano against cr7 and benzema.

salvio and gaitan are very good options, they can play the role of xavi and inesta, that will decrease the pressure from messi, higuian and aguero.

I rather Barcelona go all the way in the UCL than fight it out in La Liga for the title..If Barcelona is out of La Liga then its less games for Messi to play, that's only if Messi want to play in the remaining games that are meaningless at that part of the season..Too many people are hating on Barcelona, I hope they win the UCL and win at the Bernabeu this weekend.Barcelona going to the final of the UCL wont affect Messi world cup preparation..

I am a die hard Barca fan and I would not mind getting eliminated in the QF of this Champions League....Y? Cos Albiceleste is bigger than Barca. And it would be better if Simeone's team does it for us than the other teams.

Hmmmm I realize their is no way to say this without sounding like a conspiracy theorist but its wierd that the 2 Spanish teams have to face off each other.
I would have like to see them play someone else...
I really am a huge fan of Simeone so this is such a conflicting match for me to watch.
