Gonzalo HIGUAIN's goal with Argentina

The first thing that came to my mind when Gonzalo HIGUAIN scored the first of his two goals for Napoli against AC Milan was that I had seen that goal before. Roughly 5 seconds later, I remembered where I had seen it. The 2011 Copa America against Uruguay. Gonzalo HIGUAIN scored a nearly identical goal against the eventual champions.

Here's HIGUAIN's goal against AC Milan:

Pele's words are never to be taken seriously.. It was the great Pele who said that Brazil would crash out in the first round in 2002 WC.. we all know what happened and afterwards,, Scolari said that Pele needs mental treatment..

Like Maradona said:"Pele talks rubbish everytime because he takes his evening pills in the morning and morning pills in evening"

outlaw why are you copy and pasting the same thing everywhere..First of all I'm critical of the players when need to but I also respect them a lot..What these guys did over the past 3 years was impressive and I have thank Sabella and the boys for putting together this wonderful team.

I'm by no means underestimating Brazil, because head to head, Brazil is less inferior to Spain and Germany but that doesn't mean that Spain and Germany will defeat Brazil in South America this summer. All I was doing with my Brazil vs Argentina head to head is to show that we have some of the world best players..Argentina team is as talented as Germany, Brazil and Spain.

What about
1. Messi- Neymar: Messi is better because he's the best on the world. But Neymar, just like Messi, can decides results of matches.
2. Aguero is better than Jo, Fred or Hulk for me. He's near to Neymar.
3. Hulk is perhaps better than Higuain.
But these aren't adequate comparing.
Rather: Higuain to Fred or Jo (as 9)
Messi to Neymar
Aguero to Hulk
Someone here said that Neymar is the same level as Messi. In a sense he is. On the grounds that I said above. But after a while someone expresses his shock that Neymar is better than Messi. No one said here that Neymar is better than Messi. Please read precisely. Fama crescit eundo.
Kidult: I'm watched Argentina Bosnia three times. Romero had no good game. He just had nothing work. Good game our defensive. And I think that Orban has a chance for World Cup. I rather he than Rojo.

I believe mafioso was being sarcastic! Since everyone is stating their own opinion, let me state mine:

1. Of course we need Carlitos Tevez, he is a true leader! look how great he is playing for Juve...he will light the whole team up if sabella calls him ;)

2. Neymar is just on par, if not far better than messi

3. Hulk is altready better than higuain, all higuain can do is giving assist, and pass...that's no number nine's characteristics right?

4. Oscar is better than kun aguero...just look how good he plays in the most difficult league in the world, and in the best team in the world (chealsea)...aguero only plays in a 500 B$ team...everything is so easy there...and everything for oscar is so so difficult!!

5. Dani alvez is the best right back of all time, and zabaleta is the worst of all time

6. "outlaw" jossey walles should be our albiceleste manager, not the fool and incumbent Sabella

Sabella has to call up Willy, I was never on the whole Willy bandwagon in the past but I truly believe that Willy should be on the team for the world cup..Its serious time now, no time to make any big blunders..Lets look back at Romero performance for Argentina in the last five games..

Argentina vs Bosnia - He had a good good game

Argentina vs Ecuador - pretty solid

Uruguay vs Argentina - I don't think any keeper would have save those goals Argentina conceded, plus he almost save the cheater Suarez penalty..

Argentina vs Peru - was a average game for Romero.

Paraguay vs Argentina - Now out of all the last five games, this game have me worried..The blunder Romero made in that game was criminal if you ask me..

I was playing FIFA Argentina vs Germany and Romero was trying to make a fast clearance which turn out to hit a German player in the back of the head that went straight into the goal..lol I know it was me playing but even in the games Romero does silly things..lol

Abs from your first list, only; Musacchio, Willy and Pastore will probably make the Romania game..With both Ricky and Lamela out injured I believe Pastore will replace one of them for the friendly because Pastore style is identical to both Lamela and Alvarez. I rather Fazio over Gonzalo Rodriguez.

None of these guys stand a chance this close to the world cup..

- Soccoco
- Lisando Lopez
- Santiago Vergini
- Lucas Orban
- Pablo Piatti

And why bother bringing up Yacob, Gozalo and Ansaldi? Sabella have shown no interest in these players

Willy Cabellero, Cambiasso, Pastore, Musacchio for (Otamendi), Fazio for (Coloccini)..With these players Argentina is good to go..Pastore is coming into is own this season and should be call up for the world cup over either Lamela or Augusto Fernandez.

gaitan in place of ricky
and finally willy in place of andujar

@KidultHood:

At Romania friendly I would love to see all the following names to replace the injured and the domestic players (who might not make it due to the short time):

- Mateo Musacchio
- Gonzalo Rodriguez
- Yacob
- Lucas Ocompos
- Iturbe
- Nico Gaitan
- Javier Pastore
- Christian Ansaldi
- Willy Caballero
- Salvio

I believe all of these players should make it to the list even if they don't get playing minutes, at least to prepare them in case of pre world cup injury.

Add them to:

- Leo Messi
- Gonzalo Higuain
- Angel Di Maria
- Javier Mascherano
- Ezquail Lavezzi
- Garay
- Fede Fernandez
- Pablo Zabaleta
- Sergio Romero
- Biglia
- Hugo Campagnaro
- Roncoglia
- Marcos Rojo
- Mariano Andújar

Others who could be mentioned would be:

- Soccoco
- Lisando Lopez
- Santiago Vergini
- Lucas Orban
- Pablo Piatti

People here should be supporting our players instead of doubting them..I remember when France was down 2 -0 to Ukraine in the playoffs, like majority of the French fans believe that there team would come back and win the tie..

Fernandez is a solid player who can pass the ball brilliantly from out of the back..Lets see Napoli vs Hellas Verona; Fernandez won all the battle in the air vs Luca Toni and co, restricting them to 0 chances..Juventus vs Hellas Verona this past Sunday, Juventus conceded two goals from headers to set piece, and guess who scored a goal? Luca Toni..Chiellini and Barzagl both play for Juventus yet Fernandez did a better job than them vs Luca Toni, also Luca Toni scored against Fiorentina..The Fernandez that play for Argentina is solid, he was Solid against Colombia and Italy in the past.

I can see Willy getting into the starting XI but no one will replace FF and Garay in the back as starters, they're our foundation that has been with the team now for 3 years..Musacchio and Fazio are good though but I'm not a Gonzalo fan, never was, since he played at the U20 wc and for Villarreal..

Argentina back line is not bad, well the gk situation is another story, but as for defenders we are more than alright in that department.

Saying that Neymar is better than Messi is INCREDIBLY INSANE.

Maybe I'm not the best Argentina fans in Mundo or most loyals like some do, BUT I have never once wrote that Messi is no better than Neymar nor Neymar is better than Messi because there's no reason to say that, while there's no such thing to back it up, nor real fact there.
If Pele say so, then maybe that's his own personal view. In general, it's so clear who's more better and any sort of argument is pointless and even hilarious.

Maybe this kid Neymar can be as good as mEssi in the next 3-4 years or maybe he would fail, who knows? but to say that at this moment, Neymar is better than Messi is like the most stupid statement I've ever heard in my entire life.
It is totally UNACCEPTABLE.

my edit and interpretation:

Sabella said these words, still trying to figure out what he really said..Google translator is not that accurate.

Sabella: "Observo a todos los argentinos, pero hace un tiempo decidí no hablar más de los que no vienen siendo convocados"

note: Google translator

Sabella: ' I observe all the Argentines, but some time ago I decided not to talk about all those who are not already coming.

Meaning he dost wish to speak about the few spots/people who are not already decided

Sabella: "No creo que haya sorpresas en la lista del Mundial. Hay que respetar las opiniones cuando son con respeto".

Google translator;

Sabella: ' I do not believe that there will be surprises in the World cup list. We should respect opinions when they are respectfully given`

pretty straight forward... hopefully he thinks Willys opinions where respectfully given :)

Just finished watching the game VS Uruguay at Copa America and WCQ14 home game. Although there was few same players but still those are different team with same opponents. Sabella team has bonding and understanding each other. I am still remember the first time so many people was against of Sabella and can't even stand of him. He change the team. Ofcourse we have GK & LB issue but who doesn't have problems. Finally we have tactician and good coach. He knows what he is doing and I am sure he has more headache than us. We just need to support our beloved team. Trust our players. If Willy and Rodriguez doesn't include it's not mean that we will hate our other players. We should support them and pray for them. It's not right we only love and talk about our players when they do good performance. It's important to support them when is their bad time aswell. Sabella ain't dumb. He support his players and trust them that's why he getting out best of them and it just need to in highest level at WC.
**FYI:Nothing wrong with FF. He is monster for Arge. Just always pray my players won't get injured than we will see who stop us

Point is, I like Argentina's chances for this upcoming world cup, much more than ones in the past, and I trust Sabella in selecting the besr squad for the competition. Passarela didn't pick redondo in 1998 we know what happened . Again in 2002 bielsa didn't pick saviola instead he selected cannigia who was like 40 year old and he benched aimar and we know what happened . In 2006 pekerman screwed in the match v Germany by not bringing messi who could have changed the game and we lost a winnable cup . Again in 2010 maradona didn't pick zanetti and cambiasso and he didn't use milito who was better then higuen at the time and we know what happened. Now sabella is acting the same by insisting on Romero and Fernandez and using rojo as left back he can solve that by bringing caballero and musacchio and use a proper left back like ansaldi but he is insisting in those clowns that will be his downfall , other teams are picking there best players like scolari us doing I hope sabella wakes up and picks the right players

There are better defenders why not bring them and why not bring caballero, Argentina always had good players but coaches screwed the team every time and it is happening again , it is sad the moment Argentina face a top team they will be out there is no hope with that defense let us see what he does but I am not expecting any change

My Mundo friends, does this quote from Roberto Carlos makes any sense whatsoever?

Roberto Carlos: “The difference between Neymar, Messi, and Ronaldo is that Neymar is a happy player. He does what no other player does.”

By Carlos logic, he's trying to say because Neymar is happy then that makes him do stuff that neither Messi or Ronaldo cant do? These Brazilian say ridiculous things everyday...The world cup coming up have all these Brazilian states men saying ridiculous things lately..Yesterday it was Oscar, now today its Carlos..

All I need is Pipita to score a hattrick against Roma to put an end to this irritating conversation.

Why do people ever doubt Higuain? His job is to score and he does that pretty well. You can check both international and club level. He has always been a prolific goalscorer. He managed to score 12 goals even in his debut season in a mediocre Napoli team. He scored 4 goals in his first world cup. Before that world cup he even did not get enough qualifier matches to play.

Why do people even compare Higuain with Hulk? I think we should compare him with Fred. I think Fred and Higuain have similar style but Higuain is more tested.

Some of my friends say that Higuain is just a lucky striker. Its like they try to mean the ball comes to Higuain so that he can tap it in the net. But for me, he is a smart and conscious player who knows how to find the right position to score the goal.

And to be logical, Chelsea have at least 8 to 9 of their players superior to some team like West Ham. Yet they drew 0-0 with them at home. Just a couple of weeks back. I doubt if Kid inferred a 5-0 margin from his observations.

Hulk is greater than Higuain. The whole world knows that. We will see more of that in Brazil :D

@KidultHood -
Sorry man, I felt this way :)

But, like I have said before, You are my favourite fan, because You have great heart. But You say unreal things.

@about KidultHood and outlaw argue
I think Higuain and Hulk are about the same. Russia is crazy place to play (I live near russia and I know the story about this country and its league) and Hulk would score a lot of goals in Serie A.

But the truth is, they are really different. Hulk is like Tevez

@Outlaw, i understand your point about Alves as when he plays well he is simply fantastic, but he rarely ever plays well for Brazil, for this he is constantly criticized back in Brazil. Overall based on N/T performances alone Zaba has been better. Also you think Hulk is better then Higuin? What the F*ck? like What?

@outlaw

Hulk NT record; 32 games played, 8 goals scored

Higuain NT record 35 games played, 21 goal score

Hulk for Zenit Saint Petersburg; 32 games played, scoring 16 goals. Since 2012 - 14 current time.

Higuain for Napoli 23 games played scoring 12 goals..All this at the start of the new season 2013 - 14..And I don't even need to bring up his Real Madrid numbers..

Before you say stuff, no your facts man, Hulk is mediocre player who use is strength to Bully the opponents..Cant put Hulk and Higuain in the same sentence, Higuain is miles better than Hulk.

And I wasn't saying Argentina was going to defeat Brazil by 5 goals on my analysis earlier..I was just trying to point out the fact that we have as many quality in our team as Brazil or other nation.

@Batigol: ''Guys, don't bother yourself, KidultHood is living in unreal world, that's clear for years :D''

Willy Cabllero vs Julio Cesar - Willy wins

Thiago vs Fernandez - Thiago wins

Garay vs Luiz - Garay wins

Zabaleta vs Alves - Zabaleta wins

Marcelo vs Rojo - Marcelo wins but if its Campagrano then its a slightly edge for Marcelo

Mascherano vs Paulino - Masche wins

Gago/Biglia vs Gustavo - Gago/Biglia wins

Di Maria vs Oscar - Di Maria wins

Messi vs Neymar - Messi wins

Aguero vs Fred - Aguero wins

Higuain vs Hulk - Higuain wins

Kidult: It is not that simple as that. Why all is so simple for you. We cannot be so naive. If it looked as we would must win 5:0. But Brazil at home will have 12 players on pit. Btw, Hulk he's not worse than Higuain. This is also the case Zaba - Alves if Alves will be in form. Just don't think that I try provoke you again. I don't try.

@Kidulthood:

Ángel Cappa: “Against Sevilla, I didn't see Messi different than against Valencia. The way he yelled after goals showed a different mood.”

I think its Cappa's way to gear up Messi match by match. If that's true, Cappa should keep talking till the world cup .... ;)

Let me admit that Higuain is the most dynamic #9 in the world. The way he moves is like pulling the trigger it either hits you or scares the shit out of you.

Napoli is a team where he needed to be. Its about grit and showing the spirit of a fighter.. Hail "Diego" for a second. Despite being a Juventino I'd like to see more Argentines in Napoli with an Argentine coach to fulfill the flavor!

Almost every single Brazilian asked about Argentina's chances of winning the WC in Brazil has given the same answer.

Can you imagine how much pressure they're going to be under? one slight slip and KABOOM!!!

Remember how much pressure ARG were under during the last Copa America? That compared to Brazil in the WC is going to be like comparing the heat coming from an oven to the SUN.

Oscar popping off and saying that hell will freeze over before ARG wins the World Cup in Brazil…is the best thing that can happen for us! I am secretly hoping other members of the Brazilian team or their coaching staff make similar comments in the months leading up to the Mundial.

Not that ARG need any more motivation, but if I'm Sabella, I put ALL these types of quotes on a bulletin board and show it to my team before EVERY game and EVERY practice. Thank you for the extra motivation Oscar…keep talkin' that trash.

I have to say watching pipita at Napoli I've finally realized the potential of the kid, he's everywhere doing everything around the pitch, he scores, he assists, he passess and he plays his heart out and that's what the team needs more than anything.
As for Oscar well he can go and suck on a banana cos in addition to pipita the team has lio, kun and fideo all whom fit the description of my first paragraph.
All I can say is good luck to everyone who gets to face Argentina.

GBGT: Do you think for another team to win this World Cup they will have to beat Brazil?

Oscar:" Yes, I think to win the World Cup in Brazil then they're going to have to beat Brazil. They'll have to play out of their skins because we're going to do everything to win this World Cup. And we're going to run until the very end and then we've got the Brazilian fans with us too. So to beat Brazil at home it would have to be a historic game and very difficult but I'm sure this won't happen. I'm sure we'll bring this World Cup home."

GBGT: What if it's Argentina who do it though?

Oscar: "Don't even think about it! Argentina won't win even if hell freezes over! We'd never let them win! [laughs] They're a great team but Brazil won't let that happen."

@Kidulthood: Yes, you are right. Those problems look solved for now. But as we are supporters, we shall always be looking for problems. We all want to see a flawless Argentina team in the world cup. Here are the problems that look the most concerning to me.

1. Injuries - Messi, Aguero, Gago, Lamela etc.
2. Form - Banega, Lavezzi, Palacio, Frederico Fernandez, Romero
3. Testing possible Backups - Musacchio, Fazio, Vergini, Orban, Caballero, Orion, Yacob etc.

For the past several months Mundo was worried about a few issues concerning the team;

1. Fernandez playing time at Napoli...There were people saying FF should go on loan for playing time before the world cup, now that have been settle..FF is now playing a vital part in Benitez project this season..

2. People were saying Di Maria should leave Real Madrid in order to get enough playing time before the world cup due to the arrival of Bale..Di Maria is now one of Carlo Ancelotti most important player this season.

3. We were also worried about Gago and Mascherano back ups then came Biglia, and now we will possible have Cambiasso on the team.

4. Rojo one of my favorite players, although he may not be a natural LB, he has been great for Sporting this season, becoming a more solid and discipline player. Anyhow at least we have Orban as a possible back up choice.

5. Finally Romero situation..Sabella said if Romero situation doesn't improve this year he will then look into it in the coming months...So now we hear rumors of Cabellero being called up for the friendly game with Romania in March.

Higuain scored many many great goals especially with Argentina. One of it I've always remember is the one he did against Chile. A long pass from Maria, he took the ball gently, stop, twist, turn and shot with his left foot, and scored one of the best. That goal was sharp, he wasn't in an easy position, yet he did it.
I'm glad he play for Argentina and not Spain nor Uruguay or something. We need him alongside Messi, Maria and Kun this June. May he do well in Brazil.
