@haman won't be as good as crespo? What? I loved Crespo my favorite Argentine after Sorin when they both played but Higuin is a lot more complete. Crespo had that knack for goal always in the right place at the right time a lot like inzaghi, Pipita creates his own goals, if you watch him play for Napoli the midfield is horrendously bad that he plays a false 9 like Messi. This forces him to create most of the goals for Napoli which is absurd considering he is a number 9.

I'd take Pipita over Crespo, that being said Bati was a F*^%ing force of nature and you can't really compare the two.

bati was a complete striker of the old school, the classic no 9 with power both on the ground and the air, skill, finesse and was fantastic at both pens and free kicks but because of the modern game players like hig are expected to do other things as well like be part of a team, track back and defend as well as a run more.
remember it was a different game and different ways of playing the game as the linekers, der bomber or bati were told to do nothing but score and that did where as today a player like hig or kun must be fitter and faster and part of a team game.

Uhumm I think some of you guys underrate Higuain He won't be as good as Batigol but in 1-2 years Higuain can surpass Crespos record in around the same amount of time. Higuain still hasn't reached his full potential.

There is no way that Higuain is as good as Crespo or Batigol, and whoever puts Higuain in there level is either a fancy teenager or doesn't have a clue about football!

@Kenneth...YEah i'm glad you remember that goal...that's what i'm talking bout..Hig is magnificent in his own right...one of the best of his generation, he is one of my fav in Argentina squad. I think there's another one pretty much similar to that goal but more in a difficult position and he scored one hell of a goal with his thunder strike. I'm not sayin' he is better than Bati, but Hig has his own charm.
MESSI - KUN - HIGUAIN = best forward in the world at the moment!!!

@ Outlaw go watch Higuians goal against Chile in our 2-0 away win to them. A long ball and he single handedly does the rest, yes it's not a neymar or Messi play where he dribbles through 3-4 people but it's pretty damn good, and you have to have skill to do that :)

When it comes to "how to score",bati is better or much better than hig.bati has more ways than hig to put the ball in to the net. However, when it comes to "how to help teamwork",at least myself couldn't say oh bati is the best ever.actually, hig has more ways to help teamwork than bati,as a midfield early career, hig's passing, hig's ability in side are better than bati.

Actually, till now, I still NOT regard hig as a classic "9" like bati- in my eyes, hig is the inhanced version of barca's pedro.hig is just wearing 9, but he is not pure 9, even arguero is purer than him.

El principe don't forget he burnt both Pete Mertesacker and Hummels in the UCL games earlier..Outlaw must be on something, if you ask me..I don't know what he's talking about..Higuain is not slow by any means..Higuain got speed, he's a great dribbler, and a great passer on the opponent goal..Higuain is also great at play making for Argentina and Napoli..

You guys are joking about comparing Hig and Bati??? Seriously? Bati is 10 times better finisher than Hig??? I can't believe it.
I've seen Bati in every 90's, he's good infront of the net, always scored hell of a goals, but Hig can stop twist turn and scored almost tear the net apart from difficult angle and something like that i've never seen in Bati in his hundred matches. Stop comparing both of them.

It's very hard to compare both Bati and Higuian, IMO Higuian was forced to be more of a complete player in terms of technical ability, which Bati really wasn't that great at. But Batigol was a Fu*king for of nature, the perfect forward if you will, he always always found a way to score.

Gonzalo Higuain is no Batistuta. It's insane to compare the two. And no, even if Higuain wins a world cup he still wouldn't be same as Batistuta. A trophy doesn't put you one level up. It just makes you different from players in the same level as you.

Julker For me Higuain is better than Batigol and he will ultimately become Argentina greatest number 9 when he lift the world cup in Brazil..(Ok, we don't need to have this debate anymore, lets talk about the current situation with the NT)

Higuain is already one of Real Madrid all time goal scorer..Palacio don't have any history anywhere..By the way I love Palacio, he's one of my favorite player..

outlaw-Palacio better than Higuain? LOL Look at both players career then talk to me..Higuain had a niggling injury going into the Ecuador game played earlier in the USA..But you failed to mention that Higuain had 9 goals in WCQ and he could have score more if not for his injuries..

Are we still having this conversation about lavezzi, the guy is a done deal for sabella, so move on..No way is Scocco or any other players getting ahead of lavezzi.

ErikLamela10 yea Biglia is really underrated..Biglia will be one of the break through star at the world cup..Every world cup always have new unknown players coming on the scene, and for me Biglia will be in that category come this summer..

people can say what they want, but at the moment Argentina have one of the best midfield in the world right now..If Del Bosque can acknowledge our midfield, then why should I listen to some folks who never kick a ball. lol

I predict Palacio to score less in the second half of the season due to Milito return. Now Palacio can't play poacher like Inzaghi anymore. Milito suits that role better. Let's see if the coach still wants to start them both.

Biglia may not be as talented as Banega. But he has got discipline. He always plays by the book.

Banega tries to dribble and show off, which makes him lose the ball in crucial position. But Banega has great passing ability and dribbling ability which we can expect from an attacking midfielder. Hope he gets out of Valencia as soon as possible to get back to his form.

I think we should play Banega, Gago and Mascherano in the midfield along with Di Maria, Messi and Kun as our forward. Biglia as a sub, can replace Gago or Banega (Then we should push Gago to more advance midfield).

Di Maria-----Messi------Aguero
---------Banega/Gago----------
----Mascherano---Gago/Biglia--

Scocco is another option for Sabella, unfortunately can't get the place in the team.

Biglia is a smart player, very similar in his style to Cambiasso's early days. But, still I can't compare him with Banega, cause they offer different services the team.
The first is a game keeper, while the later is a game changer!

Both should move to a better club, where they could shine brighter. Dunno what happened with United as they kept showing interest in Banega!

Kidulthood, I remember few years ago when Batista was the coach and everybody was wondering how come Tevez wasn't on the team, why? how come? where did he go...etc

Everybody was asking about El Apache when in fact our genius coach, Batista stopped calling both Tevez and kun but nobody seemed to care or even know who Kun was.

Of course all Argentina supporters knew who Kun was and what he can do and who he is, but the media never really picked up on that until he moved to manCity.
