haman Lamela have never been drop since selected by Sabella, and if you notice Sabella doesn't go by what happen in club football, because he have showed us that he trust the players and their abilities over the past 3 years..

Sorry friend, I'm not trying to start an argument, but Lamela is way better than Gaitan..I mean Gaitan have been in Europe for so long now and is yet to make a big money move to another club while Lamela was purchase for 30 plus million at age 21.

Excuse me kidult- I agree with what you've said regarding Banega and the rest of your comments. except the one on Giatan!

Saying Lamela is 10x better than Gaitan is crime in football world. Yes, he's currently out of form, I guess he was injured and didn't paly that much this season, so as Lamela, who really depressed me. he was way better with River, but doesn't have charisma to play in Europe, unlike Gaitan who's better in all aspects and yes more talented and lethal on the pitch and would make the first team of any European club when in form.

Lamela shouldn't make the WC squad, it should be confirmed for Ricky who's the best performer at moment out of all the contenders for midfield!

the moaning and complaining is a world wide thing and is not exclusive to just Argentine fans.
no matter whos the coach he will get the standard why did you not do this or that and i 100% sure if Sabella wins the w.c their will still be those who will complain...he should have done this or that blah blah blah...this is just the modern ethos of a lot of people to complain no matter what.

Outlaw- AS I said, I like Banega,he's one of the best midfield players we have..Gaitan is in no shape or form better than Banega..I trust Sabella on all is picks except the debacle going on with the goal keeper position..

Pep Guardiola:

"Banega is a fantastic player. We’ll have to be plugged into the game to render him ineffective.''

"If they are behind us, Banega won’t be as big of an issue. If we’re behind them, Banega will be key."

Outlaw I will let Sabella do the selecting of players and coaching not fans who play too much FIFA and fantasy football..Sabella have already done an amazing job with our current players..Really , Gaitan and Maxi Moralez? Alot of teams in world football would respect Banega more when he has the ball than any of these guys you mention..Lamela is 10X talented and better than Gaitan..

They are not Argentina fans. They are Boca fans who want as many as Boca or ex Boca players playing for a team called "Argentina".

It is sad but it's always like this. Back then a lot of Boca fans criticized when a lot of ex River like Gallardo, Ortega, Aimar, Berizzo, or Crespo made the team. When a lot of Boca were called, those River complained.

Spain had this problem for years (Barca vs. Madrid players). When they solved this in 2008, they won a lot of trophies.

A vote on this website is a pittance of fans compared to the online voting in Argentina itself, where Tevez has a rabid following and many people want Sabella FIRED for not calling him up (sad but true).

The fans in Argentina would call most, if not all, of the fans on this site, fake, vendepatrias, etc. Get real people. Futbol fanatics in Argentina are completely irrational and Argentina is all about cult of personality.....and this is coming from an Argentinean.

There's only a few people at Mundo who wants Tevez back in the team.
We should vote, and do polls or something here, and then spread it around, let people know, at least people will know that there's die hard or true or whatever Argentina WC fans who don't want Tevez in the team, as much as fans who wants him back. Fact is, he will destroy everything the team has build in a year, or so.
Argentina should focused on the current backline, leave the forward, it's already better.
Why now? Why him? Kun is better, Hig is better, we don't need just one more better striker. If we're looking for sub, we have so many options that's suits fine with the current team, or i would rather give Tevez place to someone younger (Icardi, Iturbe).

I am 100% against the idea to bring back Tevez. He is a disaster, a bad idea.

Like I mentioned before...if Tevez back in the team, I would not support this Argentina WC team, even if Caballero is the goalkeeper.

KidultHood I keep in mind Banega goals, but he's not a player on whose We would rely at big tournaments. He's too deceptive. A lot of loosing baals. Banega AD 2014 is so heavy, dull both his moving as thinking.
Look at Banega AD 2007 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_l3_6TDkws
I've been loving that player but he's off.

I read on ole.com.ar 2 days ago in Batista latest interview. He said something interesting:
1. He said that during his coaching time, a lot of parties were involved in selecting players. He was talking about Carlos Tevez. I think he did not like the fact that those parties were involved. You can tell that he basically did not want Tevez in Copa America, it was the people choice, not him.

2. He also said to let Sabella work alone especially in his players selection. Again he was talking about Tevez here. He said that Tevez is a great player, but Argentina currently have enough forwards, so leave him (Sabella) alone.

According to sources in Brazil and Spain, Neymar was sold to the Catalan club for arround 110m euros rather than the officially announced 58m. If Barcelona is found guilty, they will be banned from featuring in the Champions League for 2 years and 22 points would be deducted from their current La Liga campaign.

outlaw - You're trying to use one game as to why Banega shouldn't be selected? That Ecuador game played in the USA was a experimental game for pete sake, not even Higuain had a good game..Wasn't Banega the one who get us a point at high altitude in La Paz, Bolivia? Banega also scored against Italy coming off the bench and Banega had a good game vs Uruguay for the last WCQ of the South American round.

@Baker-Banega had bids from many clubs, the problem is that, Valencia value Banega at a high price so hence they will not sell him for cheap. So now with the new multimillionaire guy taking over at Valencia, money is no longer an issue for the club so they don't see any reason to sell Banega for cheap at this point. Banega was almost out but the new coach pulled the plug on any possible move away for Banega..It was the same case with Garay, he has been link with Man United and other clubs for a while now, but Benfica would not sell Garay for the price offered by Man United, Napoli etc..So now we have a situation where Garay would end up playing for Zenit because they payed more money (still don't think Garay will go through with the Zenit move). Alot of clubs were interesting in Musacchio too, but the Villarreal president wanted 50 million dollars for the player, which is ridiculous if you ask me.

El Payaso- I would trust Basanta marking Neymar in an entire game than any of our other current defenders, with the exception of our DM player Mascherano..I think the South America base players will be crucial for us at the world cup i.e Gago, Maxi, Basanta and Orion.

I don't know about you guys but I just love having Biglia in the team, the guy is superb if you ask me. Biglia is a nice box to box player..I watch him this past weekend and the way he kept a ten men Lazio team together in the mid was excellent..

Baker- again I would take Lamela over Alvarez any-day,and I have no doubt that Sabella will select Lamela..Lamela will be our element of surprise at the 2014 world cup..I like Iturbe too but this world cup is too soon for him..Alvarez have not been impressive at Inter lately, the guy cant even dribble pass two players in tight space..

travis- Travis I too would love to see Caballero on the team but the only reason I didn't include him on my list was that Sabella hasn't shown any interest in Caballero..So we just have to wait and see if Sabella has a change of heart..Our goal keepers should be C-O-R in that order.

Orion's injury would not bring any fortune to Caballero. Calling Caballero to the training camp would not be a good idea as that might affect the confidence of Romero, our No. 1 goalie. He is already low owing to his struggles at Monaco, not more please!! Call someone else, Sabella. Anyone who can stand between the posts during training and sit well on the benches during the match. That'll do.

All people say, oh Tevez is a great player. But look at this: Messi 82cap/37goals, Kun 48/21, Higuain 35/20, Tevez 62/13, and Maxi 52/15! What is the undescried power to push a attacker whose NT goal performance even worse than middlefielder Maxi? Why everytime when WC or Copa America begins, Tevez can land on squads? Why he has such a priority over all other players who fight for qualifiers?

Once again, my urgent question is : shall we(who definitely against Tevez coming back)do sth to draw medium's attention to support Sabella? Shall we also make a serious voting all around the world? What is the best way that we can stop TevezGate.

Grondona Jr has already make it clear that Tevez is not a player to discard.Look at the infobae's interview http://www.infobae.com/2014/01/20/1538199-grondona-jr-y-el-lobby-la-afa-llevar-tevez-al-mundial-a-veces-hay-sugerencias-positivas

It seems like no one here care about the action of Tevez's fans. They are voting to press Sabella to call Tevez, while here everybody are discussing tactics, squads,or even FIFA. If Gago is in great form and healthy then it's a good news for Argentina. He's link best with Messi at the moment, and i don't see any others who links well with Messi in Argentina so far. To break this link at this moment is not a good idea. The only sub that is good for Gago is Maxi R. Banega is a bad idea, always careless, always losing balls. Biglia, I don't see his enormous progress in NT since Copa. Lamela, although I like him, but everything's wrong about him right now. Pastore is nowhere to be. So, we don't really have a perfect sub for Gago.
