Gonzalo Veron, the "Cannigia rise" is one of the promise player, never being called up by Sabella, age 24 yrs. But I prefer Scocco.

@foreverbatigol yes Veron is really fast, young too, too young for the world cup next big thing out of Argentina is Correa for San Lorenzo, the kid is amazing.

Is San Lorenzo's striker Gonzalo Veron that quick?! Is he quicker than Di Maria?! Can he be one of our super subs in WC?

Normally World Cup teams will try to find opponents that are similar to their group opponents for the World Cup preparation friendlies. The Slovenia match is to prepared for the Bosnia match, the African match is for Nigeria
I expect AFA to arrange a west asian team (Saudi Arabia, Iraq) to prepare for the Iran match.

I agree. If one of our key players get injured just before the wc it would be disastrous. nothing to gain everything to lose

I am not sure if playing a physical team like Ghana is a good idea.
Injury is a real concern.

I am sure there will be more than 3 friendlies for argentina from now till the World Cup .

I would prefer Ghana for 4 June.

so basically 3 more matches
march 22 :romania
june 4: ghana/ivory coast
june 7 :slovenia

Only one real game to experiment. The Romania friendly in Bucharest.

The Slovenia and Ghana games will be glorified kickabouts with the squad and tactics already set in stone. 5 days before the World Cup is too late to do anything.
