Javier ZANETTI on LAVEZZI, ICARDI and more

Javier ZANETTI spoke about Ezequiel LAVEZZI, Mauro ICARDI, Diego MILITO and Walter SAMUEL.

Javier ZANETTI commented about Ezequiel LAVEZZI possibily joining Inter. He also spoke about the injuries to ICARDI, MILITO and SAMUEL. Here's what he had to say:

"If we talk about LAVEZZI, we're talking about a champion who we would like to have and who a lot of teams could use. The coach will decide and evaluate what is best for the team."

About ICARDI, MILITO and SAMUEL:
"The thing that matters is that Mauro recovers - he is very important for the team. "MILITO? I hope that he and SAMUEL can return as soon as possible, hopefully for the derby."

Biglia is at Lazio. That is the reasoning. Given that Gago is made of glass and DM/CMs are card prone, having Biglia develop some chemistry and develop more with Mascherano would be great for the NT.

The best manager is either Sabella/Sampaoli/Pakerman.So Argentina is the winner here.My guess is Pakerman is the most respected and Sampaoli is the most popular.

Among 7,4 manager said Argentina was the best team,5 of them said Leo Messi was the best, even performance was very much obvious from both Messi and Argentina...Only biased can say someone was better than Messi/Argentina.But I'm ok with it,I hate the favourite tag.We will attend the WC in similar way Italy did in 2006.A good solid team, with less hype.

To be honest I think if Mascherano go to Napoli that would be perfect. He can have understanding with Pipita and make FF more commanding

FF stellar? I guess you guys watched a different game. For every great play he made, he made a terrible one.

I do agree that it i good that he is making these mistakes now as he will improve. So long as he keeps starting he will be a very solid defender by season's end. Now if only Romero could get consistent playing time....

Cambiasso was the only top performer for Inter. Campagnaro was eaten alive, which is worrisome if he plays as a fullback for the NT.

I am really upset with Fernandez displays for Napoli?, Rafa has given him chances after chances yet there is little sign of improvement from his prospective, Argentina can afford in that regard with one of the best defenders in Serie A at their disposal namely Gonzalo Rodriguez, come on! This guy is miles ahead of Fernandez.

Seriously though, it seems like modern football is less about defending and more about scoring goals..In all the 4 top European leagues at the moment, goals are flying in left right and center..

arg2014 The German players get far more injured than Argentina..Look at Germany now, its like half their squad is injured, and Sami Khedira will be basically out of the world cup. Scheiwny is also injured prone.

For those wondering:
Teams with a long term football vision train their youth teams to play in a certain tactical system so talented young players can move to their A team.
Examples: Ajax, Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich.

Zanetti always welcomes new players (or coaches). He must be a very kind person. However, if I was a player in one of Inter's youth teams I would hate his comments. Inter never introduces players from their youth teams but keeps on buying, buying, buying.

There's no long term football vision at Inter. So many players have failed at Inter or are warming the bench. They even bought Schelotto, a player who can't pass, score or even run properly.

Don't get me wrong. Inter has a terrific set of players and impressive history with players like Bergomi and Zanetti, but without a vision they just keep on buying. And their captain loves it...

Romero
Zabaleta - Fernandez - Garay - Hugo
Mascherano - Gago
Di Maria - Messi - Aguero
Higuain

This is similar but better than "Mancity" vs Arsenal I think.

mascherano needs to play CDM starting from january he needs to get more accustomed here IMO Napoli of Lazio would be good moves. I want to see the Biglia-Mascherano Partnership it looks promising. Also At napoli it would solve their defensive issues a bit more would be nice if Banega moved their too and they both started and worked on his Stamina if he wants to compete with future players sabella is trying out.

i dont understand why barca fans hate macherano... i mean no DM in the world could do a job of a centre back as good as macherano has been doing... he was a important part of the barca dominance era.... and now whenever barca loses a match .. masch is the scape goat... i know barca needs a full time centre back and masch is a makeshift defender ... they also need replacement for xavi and inesta.. especially inesta seems to have no venom left in him!!!!

Intersting game tomorrow Napoli vs Inter. I hope Federico Fernandez puts a great performance. I hope higuain can get himself in the scoreboard to see how he does vs tight defences. I am having a slight favoritism for Napoli because they are higher in the table and i want them to compete with the top 2 and because Higuain is one of my favorite players.
