Argentina, Hundoras, Ghana and the Netherlands in group E.
Brazil and Italy in A, Spain and the USA in B, Germany and Portugal in C, Belgium and Chile in D, Switzerland and Croatia in F, Uruguay and England in G, Colombia and France in H!

I would really like to see one really hard opponent (Italy or Netherland) and two easy ones. We can practice scoring goals against weak teams, but get the taste of really though one also.

Argentina - Italy/Netherland - Algeria - Honduras would be my favourite :p

Honduras, Algeria and Bosnia would be great! Then Messi could score 7 goals in the group stage, to be able to break the record of most goals in one tournament ;)

Thanks el principe! France is quite terrifying since they made their comeback, now they will be extra motivated.

Yes based on WC 2010, then the South American can't be grouped with another South American in the group stage. I am not sure about the European though since France is an "extra" European, but I guess it'd be the same: European can't be with another European. I can be wrong, though.

Group F: Argentina, Mexico, France, Croatia. Easy enough til quarter finals when we possibly meet Spain (G) or Germany (H). I'm wary of these two teams...

@el principe: are you sure FIFA can put limitation like that? I thought it's just based on drawings and it's very possible there is 3 european in 1 group.

We've got 1/4 chance of getting France from pot 3. It's not that we're afraid of them, but it France is afraid of us. They lost the last 2 times against us. Both in Maradona era I think.

I think they will not allow the European number 1 seed like Germany, Belgium, Spain, or Switzerland to be in a group with France since that will make 3 Europeans in one group.

So France must be in a group with: Brazil or Colombia or Uruguay, or Argentina. 1/4 chance. Those who gets France and get a tough European giant will be considered a tough group.

Pot A + (Mexico or Japan) + Pot C + (Netherlands or England or Italy or Portugal) Would be the toughest groups in the world cup. I have done some math. The chance of a Pot A team being in a death group is 12.5%. The chance of Argentina being such a team is 1.5%.

In my opinion, Japan/Mexico, France, Portugal would be the toughest opponents Argentina can have.

Worst draw would be: Argentina, Netherlands, Japan and Ghana

Argentina has not beaten the Netherlands in a WC match sinds 1978. On Tuesday Netherlands held Colombia easily with 10 men while missing their best players (Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder). Hopefully we will avoid them in the WC. Zabelata is no match for Robben (look at recent Man City vs Bayern match) and I doubt if our left back can hold back Lens, Depay or Narsing.

The Japanese won against Belgium and outplayed the Netherlands (with several key players missing) on Saturday but couldn't translate their dominance into goals. They have a great skillful team with a lot of movement and will be a tough opponent because each Japanse player seems to be able to run a marathon in 90 minutes.

Ghana is propably the strongest team in Africa and will physically dominate any other team.

On a more positive side: the defence of all other 23 teams will struggle to keep the fav4 from scoring!

Possible easiest grouping for us:
Argentina, Greece, Algeria, Costa Rica

Possible Group of death for us:
Argentina, Netherlands, France, Mexico

My desired group:
Argentina, Russia, Algeria, Iran

It will be best to avoid a group of death situation to prevent over exhaustion or even early exit. I will like an easy group with teams that we seldom met in World Cup.
