Valencia's Federico CARTABIA has been contacted by Vicente del BOSQUE.
Federico CARTABIA, who went to Spain at the age of 13 (he's now 20), has been contacted by Vicente del BOSQUE. Here's what he had to say about the situation.
"A few days ago, the Spanish coach asked me if I was a Spanish citizen and I am but first comes my home country. If I'll be taken into consideration, not now, but later on, I will always choose to play for Argentina."
"I'm Argentinian and I'm going to die an Argentinian, but if the Spanish National Team calls me up "Why not?". But I hope to be called-up by Argentina, it's been my dream since I was a kid. For now, it's difficult because there are great players who play in my position."
On being comapred to Lionel MESSI:
"Many people here say that. Maybe it's because we both moved to Spain at a young age, we're both born in Rosaria and I'm a leftie like him. I just wish to be able to be a little bit like him, hehe."
