If any of the fantastic four was not available, Montillo was always the replacement. But then Montillo played an awful game in his last match for Argentina where he had to play more defensive but was doing really horrible. After that game, Montillo was never played again.I think that is typical Sabella. If you still do not yet earn his trust like Romero, Federico, Garay, Rojo, Zabaleta, Masche, Gago, Di Maria, Aguero, Higuain, or Messi, whoever you are, just don't ever play bad if given a chance because if you do Sabella will never call you up anymore. LM10 (United States) Posted on 9/3/2013 at 11:52 AM 1 I've been paying attention to some of the Argentine players on this season debut and Ive noticed quite a couple good perfomances. GK - Willy Caballero He's confirming his good perfomance from last season. Defence- Hugo Campagnaro is just amazing. Why he doesnt start for us is beyond me. Mateo Musacchio! I would encourage you guys to keep an eye on him. He's young and has the potential. Thank me laterGonzalo Rodríguez had a great season with Florentina last term. MidClaudio Yacob, Diego Perotti, Ricardo Álvarezthis guy Nicolas Spolli put up some good numbers last season in the Serie A in term of stats bt no one here ever mention him. And now Tottenham was trying to bid on him http://www.cartilagefreecaptain.com/2013/9/2/4686504/nicolas-spolli-tottenham-hotspur-transfer-rumoursdoes anyone know about him at all?? Messidona1986 (Lebanon) Posted on 9/3/2013 at 10:31 AM 0 @baker: Yes indeed, It's a better move to choose Lamela and Ricky than Montillo. I believe Montillo's height (1.71m) was a factor over him being left out in favor of Lamela and Ricky. Sabella likes tall players and i like that about him. Kutz (India) Posted on 9/3/2013 at 8:54 AM 0 @ dinucci ....I agree with your view on sabellas amazing task of pulling Argentina out of a cess pit and once we get our bench and Lb sorted we will be a force to reckon with ..Even more so ...But if we have ppl on this site with only one opinion it would be a truly boring read ..:) Caballero and gonzalo Rodrigues (CB) should be tried for bench strength or even the real deal . baker (India) Posted on 9/3/2013 at 12:07 AM 0 @messidona1986 : yep even am noticing now , montillo is out i think , sabella is favouring lamela ,ricky alvarez and augusto in his position. i will say it is a good move haman (Bahrain) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 11:43 PM 1 Nice lineup yo ;), but I'm 100% sure Palacio will start. Well, he seems to be Inter's savior and his moves aren't bad on the pitch. If he scores for Argentina the way he does with Inter, It'd be nice to see him part of this squad. He has his own style to be honest!Where was he few years back, when he was the real deal for Boca? Now, I'll try to sound realistic, it's really difficult to choose who would complement the squad. The battle is open and its up the players to prove themselves.Im expecting a crazy season for our players and yes we're looking for the best! Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 11:21 PM 0 Hopefully ansaldi gets lb and campa gets cb yo (Malaysia) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 11:10 PM 1 -------------romero---------zabalete----coloccini---campagnaro-----ansaldi--------gago----------biglia-------lamela------banega--------di maria------------messi-------- Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 10:09 PM 0 Lol i have never said that or thought that what so ever. Im not attacking anyone, if it seems like that i apologize. It just seems like some people fail to recognize what sabella has done for this team. Kutz (India) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 9:52 PM 0 @ Dinucci anyone that does not conform to ur ideas u have a " label" for them ??? This is where we discuss and exchange ideas/opinions however wrong or off beat an idea maybe there is no point in attacking the person ... Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 9:36 PM 1 @ dfox ofcourse you cant. Those guys are just haters looking for any excuse to put Argentina down.@ xtreme no it was Maradonas lame ass tactics and crappy defense that got us destroyed. Also Maxi isnt going to play much, hes a sub for argentina who is currently playing very well at Newells. xtreme (United States) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 8:46 PM 0 hows maxi not bad, wasn't he part of the reason why argentina got murdered by germany 2010. They had maxi, mascherano and di maria as their midfield against germany, if they he wasn't the liablity for the midfield failure, I don't know what is because argentina is currently playing with the same midfield minus maxi. Maxi needs to stay away from argentina imo other than just morale boost on the bench. Dfox (United States) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 8:11 PM 0 Dinucci, you're not going to please everybody. It used to be that Messi did nothing for Argentina, he doesn't play well for them, he is this and he is that and NOW the same people say ARG is too dependent on him when the same question is asked!ARG is a much better team because our biggest assets have learned to play together and our defense is coming along slowly but surely. Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 8:04 PM 1 There is a lot of negativity here. Sabella has done a really good job, hes only lost once. Were at the top of the table our defense is way better, Messi is scoring. Hes doing a great job. Cut him some slack. Messidona1986 (Lebanon) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 6:12 PM 0 Has anyone noticed that Montillo is not getting called up anymore? Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 4:00 PM 0 Maxi isnt bad guys. Leoaimar (India) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 3:27 PM 0 wow! another "magic" selection! keep doin great sabella..next year this time u ll b no one.. SHIVANSHU (India) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 12:59 PM 0 nNO MAXI ONLY PASTORE!!!!!!!!!!! argentine (Ghana) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 11:41 AM 0 Max is waste for the Nt. baker (India) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 9:59 AM 0 even am not favoring maxi , but it will be nice to have the character like him in the bench . this guy can play under pressure and can be good motive to team Leandro (United States) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 9:52 AM 0 Bran~a has done ok as a sub when he was called. He is one of the few people in the team that can even make an effort at destroying like Mascherano. arg2014 (Canada) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 8:08 AM 0 Damn it !! Brana again ? fuck that. cleanball (Indonesia) Posted on 9/2/2013 at 12:10 AM 0 Wish Sabella could bring Andy D as he's on fire right now.. haman (Bahrain) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 10:54 PM 0 The domestic calls are the experienced ones! Bona Prut (Brazil) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 10:42 PM 0 Gago and Maxi for out Palacio and Augusto f. Kenneth (United States) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 10:38 PM 0 @ Dfox because Scocco is in Brazil he is technically a foreign based player, so there is still hope he is called especially with the absence of Higuian... im just hoping Sabella Forgets about Di Santo. Dfox (United States) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 9:28 PM 0 C'mon man, Scocco!!!!! Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 8:50 PM 0 @ pachorra hahahah Pachorra (Vatican City State) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 8:47 PM 0 Pachorra says:I hope Gago doesn't get injured coming out of the shower tomorrow morning... Just kidding! Good to have him back... Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 9/1/2013 at 8:42 PM 0 Gago back!!!!
