I thought there was a better than even chance that Ronaldo would return to United, but less so with Ferguson leaving. Still could happen I suppose.I expect there will be a few surprises before the transfer window closes. Lamela to Spurs ? What a fire sale at Roma. pablo.d (New Zealand) Posted on 8/24/2013 at 1:44 AM 0 johnny: it seems strange about di maria but i do think its the British media trying to sell him (just to sell newspapers) as I have herd nothing from the Spanish papers.another thought is bale could actually be ronaldos replacement as cr has not signed a new contract and is now a year away from a bosman.I did read real.m turned down any ars approach for benzima. as for suarez what a despicable human being he is but what a talented footballer, I guess perfect fit for real.m Salem (Indonesia) Posted on 8/24/2013 at 1:22 AM 0 campagnaro Pino (United States) Posted on 8/23/2013 at 11:46 PM 0 Madrid and Anchelotti know the skills DiMaria have. This is DiMaria time to shine, perfect timing. Vamos Argentina! Johnny (United States) Posted on 8/23/2013 at 11:32 PM 0 That's what I've been thinking as well pablo.d. But maybe Madrid think they will be able to pry Suarez loose from Liverpool. Small chance of that I think, but you never know. pablo.d (New Zealand) Posted on 8/23/2013 at 3:19 PM 0 why would real sell di maria as bale actually plays in ronaldos position and it seems Ronaldo will be moved into the center. che guevara (Ethiopia) Posted on 8/23/2013 at 2:56 AM 0 Any club after Dimaria must use this great bargain. As soon as Bale signature is secured(w/c is not happening untill Madrid plays with Club Assad of Raul) Dimaria will be available at fair price for any club to afford including Arsenal.Hope he will join Arsenal unless PSG projectiles but will be another frustration if he goes to Chelsea nd astonishngly surprising to Man Utd. el principe (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 2:30 PM 1 News: Erik Lamela is "more than likely" heading to Totentham Hotspurs according to his brother twitter, Brian Lamela:http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-transfer-news-erik-lamelas-2205065The Spurs are close to getting Lamela, Willian, and are targetting Coentrao of Madrid.Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzema are wanted by Arsenal. Di Maria should be easier to get than the regular Benzema. If Lamela and Di Maria both move to England, then EPL and Italian Serie A will be very interesting to watch. La Liga? We just watch Messi there... and a bit of Banega. Abs (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 1:27 PM 0 What about Lisandro Lopez ? Johnny (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 10:51 AM 0 Coloccini still plays at Newcastle. He played Monday. asjbest (Indonesia) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 10:33 AM 0 Otamendi of course. Basanta plays at low level league. Colocini is not used anymore at NC. Otamendi plays almost every game as Porto become Portugal champion. Please sabella, don't play favorite... Messidona1986 (Lebanon) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 9:13 AM 0 Isn't Rojo played at CB in Sporting? Johnny (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 8:19 AM 0 Otamendi was played out of position by all knowing Diego. Rojo stinks at his own position. Dan (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 7:39 AM 0 Also, one last thing...In the world cup, once you hit the round of 16, we are not going to be playing the little sisters of the poor. All the teams are very good and highly tactical and they will look to expose our weaknesses like Germany has done in the last 2 world cups. (Although Pekerman screwed up 2006). What we really need to be talking about is whether Rojo is the right guy to have in there or is he the 2014 version of Otamendi. Dan (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 7:34 AM 0 For those of you asking for otamendi----NO. We need capable experienced backups not guys that need "another" chance. This is the national team. You don't get chances, you get opportunities, and if you screw up, as Otamendi AND Maradona did, ALL of us have to suffer through it for four years. Basanta Campagnaro and Coloccini are all relatively experienced players that are reliable and good for the team and thats why they get called up. musicball101 (Nepal) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 4:01 AM 0 why is otamendi not called for NT ? i wonder Johnny (United States) Posted on 8/22/2013 at 12:03 AM 1 Messi is supposed to be having some tests on that thigh today or tomorrow. SulaV (Canada) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 11:34 PM 0 btw how bad is messi's injury?? Johnny (United States) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 11:31 PM 0 I'd rather see Campagnaro get time at fullback. yo (Malaysia) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 10:47 PM 0 give him the chance.... messi (Lebanon) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 7:52 PM 0 The thing is otamendi plyed bad agianst germany in the world cup, when maradona thought hes better than zanetti, anws he deserve to get tried as a cb now Messidona1986 (Lebanon) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 7:25 PM 0 It's interesting to see that Collocini's been in the National team set up for 10 years! However he has only performed averagely and never really liked him. I'd prefer Basanta and Campagnaro. marindrianto (Indonesia) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 7:06 PM 0 I am a big fan of Coloccini but since Campagnaro and Basanta have beed played couple times under Sabella, I choose them. Their original positions are CB, so it won't be a big change for them. who knows we can see hidden pearls from them. SulaV (Canada) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 6:57 PM 0 instead of colo sabella should pick otamendi as a back up for our twin towers... colo is no more a defender he used to be 2 seasons ago.... its better to go with camp and basanta... Leandro (United States) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 5:21 PM 0 Problem with Colo is that he can be a little 'soft' and is not a monster in the air. We need hard men with aerial strength back there. Other than that Colo is a smart and technical defender Dfox (United States) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 3:47 PM 0 Colo and Campo(he's firey and that's exactly what we need. Basanta hasn't impressed me in any of the games he played in. Leandro (United States) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 3:31 PM 0 Colochini as an experimental Mascherano sub? He does distribute the ball well. pablo.d (New Zealand) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 3:21 PM 0 el principal: "As for Coloccini, his best year was 2 seasons ago. I think we should think about some other options before it is too late:I totally agree and he was bad last year and vs manshitty was no better game 1 this season, time to look else where. Daisy (China) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 3:15 PM 0 I would prefer basanta as left back... Amlan (Bangladesh) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 2:33 PM 0 I know none of those three is on top of his form. But I prefer Colocinni and Basanta considering their experience in CB position. el principe (United States) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 2:24 PM 1 I know it is too late to think about better back up CB but I don't think our back up CB are that good. Campagnaro is good but he's normally played as a three men defense. Not sure about two men defense. Basanta is tough with good size but don't think he is the best back up we have.Unless the starters do bad against Paraguay, I think their place is pretty much settled. As for Coloccini, his best year was 2 seasons ago. I think we should think about some other options before it is too late. Istiaque (Bangladesh) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 2:21 PM 0 so it's going to be [zabaleta-campagnaro-Basanta-Rojo] ? Dinucci (Argentina) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 2:16 PM 0 Against Paraguay Coloccini shouldnt have a problem. loquito (Iran) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 1:20 PM 0 i think sabella will invite vergini too .... argentine (Ghana) Posted on 8/21/2013 at 1:14 PM 0 never like the moving back of Coloccina when he is defending tend to be moving back.
