Sergio AGUERO out of World Cup Qualifiers

Sergio AGUERO will not be taking part in Argentina's matches.

Sergio AGUERO is out of the World Cup Qualifiers for Argentina and is heading back to England on Wednesday. He has failed to recover from his injury. No word on whether a replacement will be called-up.

While this has not officialy been confirmed, it is being reported and would not come as a total surprise. AGUERO is not being rumored in any of the possible line-ups for Argentina (PALACIO and LAVEZZI are rumored to be in his place) and it would be unlikely he would be risked against Bolivia.

But we havent seen that much of 4-4-2 recently then only we can see the potential of Wingers, Dimaria have made the left Wing his own , where as Sosa was the prefered choice for Right Wing now sabella seems to trust Agusto more i think Agusto would defenetly be an upgrade over Sosa but fraankly saying Sosa was better in his last few games , but unfortunately for him The F4 had arrived since then there is been noway back for those 4.

I don't know much about Agusto, but certainly agree about Jonas. I don't think he is on Sabella's radar at all.

Guys, i dont think Jonas will be called up again. Sabella found another side midfielder who can balance defense and offense that is Agusto Fernandez. Jonas is a good player, but i prefer Agusto better than him and Sosa..!! Agusto is consistent plus he can score goals. I support Sabella for his inclusion of Agusto. We dont have many players in that position.Agusto improving match by match since he joined Liga team Celta.

Yes ! Give me Jonas instead of Sosa or Maxi any day. That is a player non-selection by Sabella that I find perplexing.

Leandro I remember the formation that Diego used for the germany friendly, great stuff!Completely shut the germans down but Diego lost his nerve and included Tevez (Batista did the same thing in Copa) in the WC and the rest is history we'd all soon like to forget.
Jonas was maligned by most of us here at mundo (including yours truly :( but now I think jonas would make an excellent addition to the team when Sabella would need to use the 4-4-2 formation against stronger teams.

Yes, Jonas ! Though, as I recall, Diego played him completely out of position at right back. Sheer stupidity.

@Tony.. most teams only field 2 forward at a time. More offensive teams 3.. its ok to not call as many.. Now besides Messi, Pipita and Lavezzi.. i question the rest (Palacio is in good form though). Still, DiSanto? Unless the kid is a monster in the air and 6'4'' I cant understand the callup. I liked the tactic Diego had of including Palermo in the team.. just in case it comes down to last minute hail marrys into the box or parking the bus defending on crosses.

with Aguero out there are only five forwards...Messi, Higuain, Lavezzi, DiSanto and Palacio....where as the are 10 midfielders called and 10 defenders called!

Could be a hidden blessing.

It's high time Lamela gets some playing time. He has more upside than Aguero. He is also a unique player for Argentina whereas you guys produce second striker types like Sergio in industrial quantities.

This would be an interesting lopsided front 3.

Higuain - Lamela

we should call up icardi and even though it would be to late for him to play against venezuela, at least he would have cemented his place in Argentine futbol
