Does Lamela even take Roma's free kicks?! Totti does, no?!

One player who is at least as good as Messi in FK: Erik Lamela. His FK technique is similar to the FK legend, Alvaro Recoba.

@Tony, yeah... freekicks are Messi's last milestone for attacking perfection. If he can get as good as Riquelme or Diego's free kicks in a steady basis he will be truly unstopable. He has sublime dribbling, finishing, passing, his heading is great for his size, his weaker foot is as good as most players strong foot.. all he is missing is deadly free kicks. Right now he is very good at them.. but he needs a little more range and he tends to get clipped by the jumping wall at times. Vamos Messi! I bet we will see him perfect it in his late career when he losses a bit of speed.

Messi had 8 free kick goals last year....I expect him to improve on that number this year....who would have thought Messi could even get better....a whole other dimension of scoring with free kicks...truly unstoppable....excited about WC2014 already!

@Abs,
yes that's Aguero's son Benjamin ,and beside him there was Giannina ,Aguero's ex. They returned back to Manchester so the kid can spend his fourth birthday with his dad.

Aguero's 2 goals ,assist and Man of the match were just his birthday present to his son :)

@Abs-You'd have to guess that is KUN's kid, but I don't know.

I don't see anyone mentioning this: Sergio Romero stopped the PK of Pablo Osvaldo a week ago in Roma-Sampdoria match.

@Johnny:

No man, it isn't Nastasic .. if you watch the clip you'll see a kid celebrating the goals by Tevez and Kun, I am not sure if he is Benjamin .. But didn't Kun and Gian broke their marriage ?

Yes Abs ! How about that assist by Tevez ! A bit of sleight of foot magician work with that one. Reminded me of his assist to Nasri last season for a big goal. That's the Carlitos I know and love.

You must be referring to Nastasic celebrating. He's the central defender who has essentially replaced Lescott. He's done a decent job.

Very happy with all goals, but most of all Tevez's assist for Yaya was just out of this world .. @Johnny: I miss Tevez at the national team !!

By the way, who is that kid who celebrated Tevez and Kun goals ?

In talking about players not doing so well
http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/tacticsandanalysis/id/898?cc=4716

This article aimed at Aguero. Not sure if it is more to do with other teams figuring out how to snuff out the ManC attack or Mancini changing something. But the stats do show he is missing more chances than last year and we saw the chance he blew Vs Sweden. Is Lavezzi the man who will fight regularly for his role in the f4?

I agree with Kenneth, you weren't very clear.. and even if you where, EXPECT friction when calling someone an idiot as surely someone will take offence from strong words like that.

Yes, Sanches missed a ton of opportunistic this last Barca game, but to be fair he created many through his hard work.. he is going through a weird spell.. just as Pedro has been.. happens to almost every forward.. all he needs is confidence and some time. Who knows whats going through his head.

@ Fanfrom are you calling Messi and idiot player? Seems a tad aggressive.

Also if anybody's been watching Messi play he honestly hasn't been playing that great...that just shows what kind of caliber of a player he is to score this much while playing so mediocre (by his standards of course)

Also good to see Fernandez getting some time! He's been great for the national team (excluding the last couple of games he's been ok) but with some regular playing time I'm hoping he can reach his potential

That was a good free kick to me. And he has been scoring them pretty regularly. He is top 3 free kick takers in our squad for sure.
