Mauricio POCHETTINO managing Southampton

Argentine manager Mauricio POCHETTINO has signed with English club Southampton.

POCHETTINO, who was manager of Espanyol, has signed a two and a half year contract with the club. Here's what POCHETTINO had to say:

"We can be one of England’s biggest clubs."

"I’ve spoken to the chairman. I’ve heard about the great project, about keeping on growing and maintaining Southampton in the top flight."

"I believe a lot in young players."

Here's a video of the press conference with POCHETTINO speaking some English which is followed by Spanish.

I think he will win the heart of saints fan.his style of play is something like our own pekerman era type and he is proven track record in la liga. If i m not wrong he is also one of the candidate for barca coach when pep announce his refusal for continuing the coach rolee at barca.

This video of Valencia fans insulting the players (Tino Costa and Banega included) after yesterday humiliating defeat ,But that's not the main reason I brought you this video ..

It looks like Valencia directors took our advice and hired a driver for Banega ,LOL (0:06 min)

I have a feeling that he'll succeed, and once he do, he'll be a top class manager .. Wish him all the luck !

He'll have a tough time of it, at least at the beginning. Most of Southampton's fans are outraged at the preceding coach getting canned. There is likely to be a welcoming similar to what Rafa is going through at Chelsea.
