- Zabaleta been always great at team level, but he always fails at the National team.

- Gago have killed him self by the stup!dity he did, and I can say if things keep on as is, Banega will of course take his place at the National team as well.

- Playing 3 at the back was always my dream, coz I believe and am sure, that Argentina will do great with that sort of formations. But I don't know how would Campga and Zabaleta work out together !

- Fernandez hardly play for Napoli !!

@Leandro-interesting observations about Zabaleta as a Dani Alves type. Vamos a ver about all that. I'm not sure I totally agree that he doesn't function as a RB for City, but I'll keep my eyes open to the possibility.

Whether he ever gets it together for the NT, or not, he is a joy to watch these days at City.

I only saw extended highlights for the Valencia v Madrid game. From what I saw Tino.C looked very sharp and Banega had a few good plays.. Valencia forwards missed a bunch of open goals.

Pipita scored as a sub, thats what is so amazing about him.. he finds the net even when given half the chance.

the point is, Zabaleta has improved this season, ive never heard og people recgnizing him as one of the best rbs in the world. So am excited to see how he plays in the national side in the upcoming match .As for our attack , am worried about higuains and agueros recurring injuries and di marias poor form.

In Fiorentina there are 2 Argentinian CB (Gonzalo & Roncaglia)...2 in Napoli too...both teams uses a 3 men defense
among them 2 of them are Argentina internationals and regular starters (Fernandez & Campagnaro)
My point is, If sabella uses a 3-4-3 or a 3-5-2 formation, he will be able to get the best out of Zabaleta on the RWB position without hampering the slowly building chemistry between our central backs (just my opinion)

DiMarias biggest flaw is his ego.. if he had the work ethic and humble disipline of a world class player he would be truly fearsome.. the kid has gobs of natural talent.. he should learn from Christiano, as much as I think the guy is a boob, Cr7 has great discipline.

As for Zaba, lets pray he keeps it up.. but the reality is that for Man.City in my eyes, he is hardly a right back, Zaba is a wide midfielder there much like Alves for Barca and that only works with a rock solid back line where the whole midfield defends. Since Argentina is all forwards and still green defenders thats a huge gamble. I say Zaba should become our Sosa replacement as a right midfielder and stick to a better defender in Campagnero behind him, this would take the pressure to get back he is not great at and free him to make the overlaping wide runs on the wing.. which we need, we are too central at the moment. I think Zaba and Camp would be a rock solid right flank defensibly and also both have a fair share of ball control and brains to get us out of trouble and into a quick offensive transition.

@msi2-you got to figure if Mourinho can't get through to Di Maria, who can ? On the other hand, Real Madrid seems to be at sea these days even with Mourinho. All of that uncertainty and dissension ain't good for undisciplined players like Di Maria.

Along with Higuain's injury issues, it seems almost like a lost year for the Argentinos at Real Madrid. But, the Champions League beckons.

That's true but who else would you put? It's not like we're thriving with quality on the sides.

I was watching Man City and Arsenal the other day and the commentator said-"Zabaleta is a real professional. My kind of player". I think Argentina will eventually see that player.
