Yes, I agree, we did not see the Sabellas clear point behind the calling of Di Santo, maybe he got another nationality passport as there are still more than talented and skilfull players deserve to be called like Lamela,Licha,Rocaglia,Gaitan even Aimar.

- Di Santo: With players like Licha out there these kids shouldn't get the chance ahead of him.

- Biglia: Is a good player, the door is open for him as long as Tino and Banega are away, once they are back they'll replace him if he didn't prove his worth.

- Coloccini: After watching Liverpool vs Newcastle today, I know for sure that Coloccini isn't the solution at the main time, and for sure not a future player. Luis humiliated him to a point that all the records he had from last seasons were wiped away.

- R. Alvares: Is a player for the future, but let us be honest, picking a player like Ricky ahead of Lamela, Pastore, Gaitan and the rest is just a stup!d move.

- Rinaudo: I honestly watch the guy play one game, and he reminded me so much of Mascherano's first times with the national team. If we can make another Mascherano out of him then why not.

Others should be highly consider:

- Jonas: The Spiderman, is just a Spiderman. And he is exactly what we need next to Gago-Mascherano.

- Lamela: The kid is doing wonders with poor Roma, he is overtaking Totti's Roma, and that's hard to do.

- Licha: Is the only suitable back-up for Higuain !!

Agree,Our twin tower Garay and Fernandez is quite good and need to have more playing time together against big teams. Need to have a more reliable RB and LB as Zabaleta some times play out position and enjoy attacking. That's why we need a player like Roncaglia and Ansaldi. Sabella already have Campagnaro and Rojo but need to create a healthy competition atmosphere to find out the best and suitable players to fill and cover this area

Mascherano best position is in the DM - coordinate the defends and Messi coordinate the attacks; what Masche is doing in Barca as CB now is due to the reason and absent of Puyol and Pigue and the best things for him - he got a chance to play in various position to ...

Masch Cannot play as CB for Argentina...he's to short and holds on to the ball to long, the set up is perfect with towers like Fernandez and Garay and essentially a 3d CB in Masch playing in midfield. Although i would like to see a little

Camp-Fernandez-Colo-Rojo
Masch

Great defense right there in my opinion >< as Masch is one of the worlds best CDM he defends like a CB and is still able to pass and (occasionally dribble) as well somewhat being able to set a tempo (with a lot of help from Gago and Messi of course)

Place masche in the bck, and put biglia, cuchu, banega, rinaudo, or any other of our bad ass cm, and there u have it..Perfect solution for our back line. .. The way masche has been playing at barca this past year, I prefer him over garay, fede, desabato, colo. etc etc ANY day !!!!

We have seen worse list... Now the thing is, will we see some new players or are they just bench warmers (the likes of Alvarez, Biglia and co.)?

I'm glad to see Coloccini and Biglia called. Though its a positive that Sabella is working Fernandez and Garay as a team, I'm not anywhere close to sold on either of them. Particularly Fernandez. Midfield depth with Biglia is a positive, and an audition for Rinaudo. No Banega. Meaning he's not ready yet for a shot ? Who can say ?

Di Santo ? I'll tell you exactly what this means-Sabella is not interested in calling Pastore or Lamela. His midfield is set save for some minor tinkering with the defensive midfielders. Messi is the multi-talented enganche. Sabella is auditioning back up forwards. We've seen Barcos, Palacio (anybody else other than the Fab 4 ?), and now Di Santo.

I'm almost to the point of offering to eat my Stetson if Sabella ever calls Pastore or Lamela. I think neither complements his plan. He sees the Fab 4 as capable of sufficient attacking potential, and players like Pastore and Lamela as unnecessary extra baggage.

We need players as backups for every single spot. People always ask what is plan B, well his plan to have a backup for every player.

And please no Pastore but yes to Lamela, just for experience. Pastore has already been to the World Cup and Copa America. Time for Lamela to get a chance to get settled with the guys, but if he doesn't get called up it's okay. I hope to see the players, I like the addition of Di Santo if in fact he does get called up. And I believe the local side will be called a little later, right? So before people panic, Sanchez Mino,Peruzzi and whomever from the Primera will be called up later. The defense needs to be improved as well, its okay for now but needs improvement.

if true, hopefully this is a sign that Sabella is willing to test out some new players instead of hie Primera favorites.

Di Santo's had a good year thus far but to echo @Chris, gimme a break. The one thing Argentina has locked down is the attack: Messi, Higuaín, Agüero, di María starting, Levezzi on the bench (and hopefully Lopez instead of Barcos and let's throw Gaitán and Lamela or Pastore on the bench as well). Sabella needs to be figuring out the FBs, a back up for Mascherano, and looking at some other CBs.

why does he continue to test out strikers ?!
i dont get it, i think we are overwhelmed with the amount of strikers we have, thats not an issue.
i wish sabella would test out midfielders and defenders instead.
before everyone starts to talk crap, i understand, its a friendly, i get you..
we need to focus on fullbacks, CD, and midfielders.
perfect oppurtunity to call up Lamela again, hopefully give Pastore another shot (although i know he hasnt been in the greatest form lately, and might not fit in to sabella's style).
man, let me vent a bit, i had and STILL have high hopes for Pastore, i was dying to see this kid play along side of messi, but i really dont understand what his issue is. so unfortunate.
peruzzi needs to start this next match..
and im going to say it.. ZANETTI !! i know the guy is about 50, but he's probably THE best FB we have, and i guarantee this guy will make it to the next WC, since he's still playing, and hasnt lacked ANY form (granted he's not as fast as he use to be) but lets be honest, the guy is amazing, will bust his ass every second of the game, and will never backdown.
love this guy. I believe he'll still be able to make it to the next WC, true Man of Steel !
