Dude, I can understand that any time would need a goal scorer like Higuain but no team in the world need a goal scorer like we do ..

Do you know that Liverpool would be at the 20th position, with 1 goal scored and 3 points difference from the 19th position if Luis Suarez didn't play any game for us this season ?!

I forgot to mention something ..

Higuain should move to Liverpool, they need a goal scorer like crazy, and playing for them he wouldn't play week in week out, but he'll also be the man to go to to finish things up !!

** It won't happen though :(

@Dr.Magdy:

That's an average of 3.5 goals per season difference to Benzema ..

And in my opinion to score 3 goals in 300 mins is something easy to do, should Higuain get the chance I am sure he would've scored the same if not more.

After all Moushit is sh!t, and if he keeps playing Higuain is a regular #9 just like he plays Ronaldo week in week out, then I wouldn't be surprised if Higuain became the top scorer not between the two, but for Real Madrid including Ronaldo.

@niklucky02

Of course Higuain is much better than Sosa ,there's no comparison at all ,after all we're talking about a Real Madrid player ,while the other couldn't make it in Napoli .. LOL

But I was talking about RM fans "feelings" towards Higuain ,you know that feeling when you want to strangle someone ,Believe me that exactly how they feel (my brother is a RM fan by the way)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWtX0Q2JC6o

I also enter RM forums after each game to see their reactions towards Di Maria and Higuain performances ,so I know what I'm talking about.
"Higuain to them is like Sosa to us ,sometimes they praise him but most of the time ... you know".

Season 2009/2010 : Benzema (291 min) , Higuain (470 min)
Season 2010/2011 : Benzema (399 min) , Higuain (420 min)
Season 2011/2012 : Benzema (776 min) , Higuain (557 min)
Season 2012/2013 : Benzema (189 min) , Higuain (95 min)

Do the math ...

@Dr Magdy .."But you have to admit it ,Higuain to Real Madrid fans is like .. "Sosa" to us."
LOL on that one .... I really like your stats and posts both but the statement you just made overshadows everything.
Sosa --> Higuain .. Naah
I don't think any real madrid fan would hate it when higuain enters the field unless he is a barca supporter in disguise :P

you also ned to put up the mins played ie if hig comes on late in most champs lge games he plays then his stats will be not as good.
from what ive seen ben starts 90% of those matches.

@aka Mr.D

It's not me who says Benzema is better in the Champions league ,it's the numbers ..

Benzema's performance in UCL since he joined Real Madrid in 2009 :

- Appearances : 27
- Goals : 16
- Assists : 8

Higuain's performance in UCL since 2009 :

- Apps : 27
- Goals : 7
- Assists : 2

Can you see Higuain's "poor" numbers in CL ,I can get you his numbers in La Liga and you'll see the huge difference.

Believe me I got nothing against Higuain ,I'd even choose him over Benzema for our NT ,simply because his style works well with Messi ,But you have to admit it ,Higuain to Real Madrid fans is like .. "Sosa" to us.

@Dr.Magdy, to say Benzema is better in the UCL is meaningless, as Higuaín hasn't started a UCL match I don't know how long. He sometimes comes on for the last 10-15 minutes hardly a fair measure.

Also, Higuaín had the two assists from CR7's goals as well so he was directly involved in all 4 goals.

Goals are different than pass percentage. I don't know the percentages on Higuaín vs. Benzema but if one striker scores every 3 out of 5 chances, while the other scores every 4 out 8, I'll take the latter. I'm pretty sure Higuaín gets himself in a scoring position more often.

And Mourinho's claim is straight BS. When has Benzema ever started in the #10 role? A few times last season Mourinho started Higuaín and Benzema but Benzema was not in the #10 role because if I remember Kaka also started a lot of those same games.

Benzema misses many more changes in my opinion. Benzema is a better dribbler in tight space, so he is better against parked bus teams, while Higuain is the opposite. Higuain has some of the best finishing stats in the world and saved Madrid many times. They are both good, neither deserves criticism. The criticism lies in Madrid buying too many ace forwards and ruining their form and confidence by having them bench.. #9's need continuity.. Tevez went down in form while at Man.U cause he was not regular, starts at Man.City the year after and he becomes MVP of the leauge. The season Higuain started every game (right before Benzema purchase) he was unstopable, competing with Messi and Christiano for goal #'s. Its mostly politics!!! And I am sure Christina has a lot of say as to who starts.. Pipita, LEAVE MADRID!!!

Mou trusts Higuain when playing against easier teams, but when it comes to sronger teams, Benzema is the number one option. Hope this will change. Plus it is no secret that CR7 likes Benzema more than Higuain.

@ pablo.d
he has scored some amazing goals but lets not be biased higuain misses more compared to benzema that is why benzema was preferred over him last season.. but he scored some 20 odd goals from the limited chance he had last season.. but benzema looked more lethal than him..

some days he looks totally different level from benzema and in some mediocre player but if he can continue this form and stop missing from point blank ranges then he can become real's no 1 striker..

dr magdy ,
im pleased you have eyes and this will allow you to enjoy and marvel higuain's many fantastic goals that have made him one of the best goals per strikes in the world :)
i know what you are saying as he seems to miss the easy ones but plant a lot of harder ones, if only he could be more deadly he would be impossible to stop like the great bati in his prime.

@aka Mr. D ,@pablo.d

Let's not get carried away with Higuain's performance tonight because sometimes Higuain makes you really wanna kill yourself ... Real Madrid 2-1 Barcelona Super Cup ,anyone ?? .. that match could've easily ended 4-1 if Higuain had his chances.

Higuain shines in La Liga ,but Benzema performs better in the Champions league ,Higuain is a classic #9 while Benzema likes to cut in from outside the box ...
(Higuain + Benzema) would be The Perfect Striker.

That's what Mourinho said when he was asked about Higuain and Benzema:

"Higuaín is a classic centre-forward, someone who finishes off attacking moves ,while Benzema moves like a fish in water. Sometimes I make him play in the number 9 role and other times as a number 10. He’s got incredible movement"
"We need both of them, Karim and Pipa. It’s not easy deciding which of them should play, I analyse the characteristics of each game and the opposition, and then I decide"

Higuaín is the starting #9. Higuaín gets hurt. Mourinho complains he doesn't have a #9 and gets Adebayor on loan even though Benzema is on the bench. Higuaín comes back from injury and ends the season on fine form. Mourinho insults Benzema all year and Benzema doesn't look particularly good. Adebayor goes back to Man City.

Next season Benzema is the #9 starter! Higuaín plays less minutes and still manages to score more goals than Benzema.

Benzema looks awful at the Euros, continues his slump while Higuaín is playing excellently for Argentina. Benzema is still the starting #9, even though once again, Higuaín has scored more goals on fewer minutes.

That's not brilliant coaching that's schizophrenia.
