You also have three subs so if like you said one of them got hurt then it'll be Clemente will replace him.I don't think Matias will ever get the chance to even play as a sub. Even if both get hurt, then Mascherano will play RB, Clemente LB and Guinza will play with Gago. Now if Mascherano gets a red card after all that .. then I guess we'll play with 10 players .. So still no chance for Matias !! Dante Pastrana (United States) Posted on 10/16/2012 at 1:30 AM 0 Lmao. Clemente Rodriguez looks like a Spanish version of Sticky Fingaz from the rap group "onyx"! chandran! (India) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 12:49 PM 0 @johnyi read that its because borghi insulted the referee during the victory in Venezuela. Johnny (Thailand) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 11:45 AM 0 I agree with Chandran. Matias is already in Chile and it is an easy call up that doesn't ruffle any feathers. I doubt he'll see any playing time barring an injury. Campagnaro, Zabaleta and Clemente are all ahead of him. Besides, he's and attacking fullback rather than a defensive presence.Off topic-I see where Borghi was suspended for 4 matches. I don't remember the reason for that. What did Bichi do ? chandran! (India) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 11:29 AM 1 The only reason that matias has been selected as a late replacement is because he is already in chile and can join the team easily. aka Mr. D (Peru) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 8:55 AM 0 I've only seen this kid in the Copa Libertadores, looked very good going forward but at this point I'm more interested in a RB who's a top notch defender. That being said, there could be a place for him in games where Argentina wants to go with a 4 man midfield.Hopefully this is a sign that once Argentina qualifies Sabella will have some more adventurous call ups. Mik (United Arab Emirates) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 6:46 AM 0 Hmm gud replacement but sad for peruzzi hope he gets fine soon and then after that gets selected to the First team then to replace Zabaleta Tuff task under Sabella. But for this replacement hey Matias is a Fast player I heard like that but his Defencive abilities is suspitious dont know havent seen him much only heard about him, but guys this match is playing in conditions were Matiaz is soo familiar to, Ironic isnt it i think he can play understanding the condition may be he will be used as a sub, Highly unlikely though,Frankly speaking would like to see how some of our Subs play when given opportunity, When Sabella gonna use them aleast in friendlies Hmm No idea against SA hope we can see some unused players. Jack! (United States) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 2:45 AM 0 Abs, what do you mean what's the point? If Zabaleta or Campagnaro get hurt then who do you replace him with? You have 23 players, it does not mean ALL 23 players are going to play. soumya (India) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 12:37 AM 0 @cleanball...namaskar..:)..yap...i have faith on this defence....i think sabella also have faith...even some of us(me also) prefer campagnaro over zabaleta in RB position ...also Lisandro Lopez is a good player...but i think this team needs a permanent squad...specially in defence...:) Abs (United States) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 12:07 AM 0 What's the point of calling him if he won't even warm the bench ?I really would love to see him play, bcoz I heard soooo much about him already !! cleanball (Indonesia) Posted on 10/15/2012 at 12:02 AM 0 @soumya, Namaskar. You seems have faith on all the Albiceleste defense players; anyhow it will be great if Sabella do experience and brings youths and energetic R/B and L/B like Lisandro Lopez and others, which will be playing against Brazil in Nov for SuperCup soumya (India) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 11:47 PM 0 Matias Rodriguez, zabaleta ,campagnaro, fernandez, garay, colochini, rojo, clemente: this is a good defence line up....i think each and every player have different and unique quality ....they only need a strong understanding and cofidence....so remaining matches till WC14 should be played by them ...with out changing the squad... cleanball (Indonesia) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 11:36 PM 0 Matias can operates as a winger and helps the defense. This shown that Sabella are keen to upgrade the m/f and defense as he has fully trust and satisfied with the forwarders. Welcome on board Matias Rodriguez. Jack! (United States) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 9:59 PM 0 Come on Kenneth, Sabella knows more than us? Reading an article from Goal.Com is the be all and end of all who should be called up and not called up. :-) Kenneth (United States) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 8:19 PM 0 Zabaleta defensively is normally sound (when playing for Man City) his problem with the National team is he is always out of position and is to slow to make up for it. I too would like to see Matias, but in the end i'll leave it up to Sabella as it is obvious he knows a lot more than us. Tony Montana (United States) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 6:04 PM 0 matia is good but clemente should be the first sub if needed.... Shafat.Redondo (Bangladesh) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 5:28 PM 0 Hope this guy is good enough to replace Zabaleta . Zabaleta is way too weak at defending and not that good at attacking too . Leandro (United States) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 4:13 PM 3 Zabaleta,Garay,Fernandez,Campagnaro is our strongest back line.. I am happy. Jack! (United States) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 4:05 PM 2 Mati is quite the good player, I like the fact that Sabella actually called up a player since Rojo is down and as well as Peruzzi(Not sure where Rojo stands as of now). It will be interesting to see him play if in fact he does. I doubt it, because the game is Tuesday and was just called up, might not have enough time to get in the mold of things. I expect the back line to look like this, Zabaleta,Garay,Fernandez,Campagnaro. So, again it will be interesting because Zabaleta normally gets replaced by Campagnaro. So who knows what will happen. Istiaque (Bangladesh) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 2:37 PM 0 he looks like more of a winger than a defender. we don't need this kind of player in a tough away match for sure. And I'm pretty sure Sabella not going to play him...well let's hope we go 3-0 up in the first half, then we could see him :P :P Lionel Messi (Jordan) Posted on 10/14/2012 at 2:22 PM 0 @ soumya, many thanks for posting the video !
