Yupp whichever Formation or players we have to beat Uruguay The revenge is still waiting. And as far as i know Apart from Dimaria and Enzo perez rest all the Midfielders we have is Defencive minded. But doesnt matter the creative hub is messi and Dimaria. Whatever it is we have to beat Uruguay.

@Mik,the games will be classy and we have to prepare for their counter attacks and dead ball; although Messi is now very superior in FKs. Yes, the formation will progress and dynamic. As we have more attacking instinct players;i.e DiMaria,Masche,Perez,Sosa,Guinazu thats why Sabella is trying hard to keep this things into balance between defense and attack.
Uruguay plays good football and their striker is terrific although at this moment they are not at their peak performance; Suarez got a harsh words for his diving and seems not enjoying his time at EPL. but with good coach Tabarez everything can be over turn and Tango have to be aware and fight with full spirit - which sometime we fail to do. Remember at Copa we can't score although we dominated the games. But with good atmosphere and players solid chemistry and team work I am optimistic Tango will win.

Its surely gonna be like that @hi2suresh Messi will be behind Aguero and Higuain in a 4-3-3.

And @cleanball as far as i see when the game progresses 4-3-3 becomes 4-2-4 or either 4-2-2-2 because of Dimarias attacking instinct thats where the pblm gonna be we literally have only 2 Midfileders Gago and Mascerano which i still feel is not enough.Atleast Sosa or Guinazu should be there.More over at Copa America we played against uruguay with this similar set up and failed. ( Not same players but if i m not wrong the Midfield and Attack was exact same in copa vs urugay only the defence was different)

But on gud note The Fantastic 4 can give a lot of head ache for the Off Form uruguay, but Uruguay will bring best against us because they r our Eternal Rivals.

For me 4-3-3 is workable as we hv got 3 best striker Kun and Higuain plus Messi support by best winger Di Maria. The playing format is flexible into 3-4-1-2

@Mik I somehow feel Messi's might be the man behind to choose the current 4-3-3 formation.

@ Mik, good point about Sosa ! in the past Sosa was playing from the beginning of the match, but now he is on the bench !

Messi is going to play against Saudi Arabia in the next month beside to Kun Aguero ! I hope from Sabella to give new players a chance to play in that match !

If that is the final lineup then the fantastic 4 will start. That leaves our Midfield More vulnerable. i m affraid against Uruguay we may need atleast 3 Midfielders.

And First of all we cant expect all those Excellent players doing great job for their clubs to be selected. The coach will have something in his mind about the player he is taken. Sabella is slowley improving in his player selections. We can expect some of our current players to be replaced sooner or later. Nowadays he dont start Sosa which itself shows that Sabella is keen to improve. Atleast Sabella is now got a core players who will be the pillars of this team they seems to have form a unit. a Team Chemistry is there.

@Jack! - right on. Its always funny when people post their 'dream' formations, 70% of the time they start with the forwards, squeeze as many as they can up top.. like Diego did.. and then patch up the back leaving our midfield very drafty. Sabella has done the opposite. A happy medium would be ideal.

Roncaglia can play as right back and central back; anyway Sabella want Garay,Zabaleta,Fernandez and Rojo. And I am confident with Garay and Fernandez. Let see maybe Roncaglia will get the chance.

Yes Jack, I agree. We are so curious and anxious to call players like Licha Lopez, Pastore,Lamela, Gaitan,Mughni,Tevez even Diego Milito but sometime forget that we need a good defense and supporting the playing scheme as a team work not as individual talented player.
We need a fighter players who dares to hit and can accept tackling and pushing mentality; looks at our last game against Peru - all is acceptable in order to win the games and qualify; and I do agree, at this moment Perez is more useable than Salvio and Gaitan to cover the m/f and as Maxi seems to be Sabella's favourite..Vamos Argentina

Gaitan is a good player but in reality, even if we call up the best of the best of 23 players, how many are going to play in total? 15-16 if that?

Yeah, yeah, calling players does not mean they are going to play but a "back up" but calling even the best player does not mean much. It's what works for the team and the manager.

But I think people want to see him it's due because United were tracking him.

From the players that Sabella has called the "questionable's" Sosa,Brana,Maxi,Desabato, Guinazu... Sosa and Guinazu have done their parts to a degree thus far. You need these players to have some type of control in the MF. It is to toughen up the MF, it's a old school method, force over style. For now, and games like this, we do not need artists in the MF, we need warriors, players that have heart and willing to jump to get the ball instead of shy away from the tackles. This is what the qualifiers are about. When we have clinched then we could start painting our picture. We win our next 2 games, we are in great shape. Last meaningful games in a long time. Lets enjoy this as a community here on Mundo.

Hehe @Johnny that was a gud one "First thing KUN ought to do before practice is to burn that jacket." Horrible Jacket.

Enzo Perez is better than Salvio but Gaitan is Better than Perez. Both Salvio and Gaitan seems more of an Attacking midfielder where as Enzo Perez seems to be a Player who Sabella likes along with Sosa at midfield. both these 2 had featured soo heavily under Sabella for Estudiantes playing ahead of Veron. And Enzo Perez can play in various positions at Midfield just like Sosa but then again he too is an Average Player.

Sabella has a knack of picking Average Players those whome who will not complain if they r sat on bench. Its his prefered players like Guinazu, Sosa, Brana, Maxi, etc etc all seems to be happy to be part of our NT.Among thes Maxi and Brana seems to be the ones who need to be replaced soon.

Watching Benfica vs Barca, I can say the Salvio & Perez were way better than Gaitan, hope he will improve.

The thing i do not understand is why he calls up Enzo Perez over Gaitan, but whatever if we keep winning and most importantly improving I'm not one to complain.
