Lionel MESSI scores twice to save Barcelona

In the Champions League, it was Lionel MESSI that scored twice to save Barcelona.

Barcelona played Spartak Moscow in the Champions League and with the score 2-1 in favor of Spartak, MESSI scored twice for Barcelona as they went on to win 3-2 and go top of their group. Javier MASCHERANO played the full match for Barcelona as did Juan INSAURRALDE for Spartak Moscow.

Ofcourse he has scored Goals we can see that but look at the goals he scored take a closer look some were saying Cr7 Always scores by tap ins and freekicks, Penalties etc but so far Messis goals this season for Barca have been like that agree with the facts dont be blind. Messi will come back surely but we have to agree what is happening now.

@ Dr.Magdy:

Sometimes when you have an overload in quantity (mass), you can ignore the quality.

jack i dont think he ever stops playing as i saw he has a series of matches for his charity called messi and friends, their were 6 or 7 matches.
i can only admire him for spending time off not sunning him self on some far away insland but trying to help others who are not as fortinute as him.

He probably has not found his legs just yet. It was the first time in a while he had a summer to just relax and not really worry about futbol. 4 out of the last 5 years he played during the summer.

07COPA
08 Olympics
09-Summer off
10-WC
11-Copa

So, he will find himself in game shape and will be fine. I am not overly worried. When he goes back and scores a hat-trick this will be put to bed.

It does look a litttle worrying seeing Messi not being 50% of his best. But I suspect as the season progress he will grow into his usual self. Its sensible not to be burnt out too early in the season as Madrid will challenge all the way especially in CL.

He's infact been loosing the ball way too often and seems not bothered much by it. He's the most marked player to date and it seems teams are getting it right.

However hopes he recovers and find back that speed and accuracy in runs and passes. He'll be good

@Abs ,It was never about the quantity But the quality...
That what differs Messi from CR7 and others.

Messi has scored more goals than Real Madrid in this season so far, so what are you talking about ? .. And I believe he even played less minutes than them !

I think i didnt drop my mouth I just said what i felt is, Its a fact so far messi havent been upto the mark this season. And i didnt say messi was declining too. But we cant blindly run over facts. We have to sometimes accept the realities. Its different peoples different opinions.

Mik, you worry too much. If you have the feeling that Messi is on the decline(not saying that is what you are trying to tell us) Messi is just trying to find a groove. As for the Messi and Villa argument, it's good that Messi is showing leadership, he needs to be a bit more vocal. It's not like he was crying, he was telling Villa to pass the ball to proper spots, just like Messi does to him. Give him a little time, he will go back scoring goals that make your mouth drop.

I know evry game He cant dribble past somany players. And I can see in every match he is been surrounded by atleast 3 players every time he gets the ball he is surrounded by 5 or 4 sometimes. Its all true.

But I have a feeling something is wrong with Messi this season at Barca he is not like last season. He argued with Villa highly uncharacterestic of him thats not a Pblm it sometimes happens at Football grounds.

But the pblm is he is lossing the ball easily nowadays. He is been robbed the ball far too easily. If i m not wrong he dont have any assist this season so far at BARCA.Ofcourse he has scored 10 goals in less matches already this season. But a closer look will tell almost 90 percent of the goals were either freekicks or penalties or tap ins. its not like hitting the panic Button but was just saying. Some were saying Cr7(I hate him) mostly score by freekicks , penalties and tap ins last season but Cr7 is still the same i guess he havent changed as a Player. But i have felt this at the start of season too something is wrong with Messi at barca.

But the Gud thing is nowadays he enjoys and haveing fun really when playing for us and he is performing phenomenoly for us lately. He now plays better for us than at Barca.

May one reason i feel this is because at Barca he has already set the bar sooooo high its not easy to always play at that Highhest level always. But for us he is now started to set the bar.May be wrong but just saying.
