Diego SIMEONE and DIAZ win UEFA Super Cup

Atletico Madrid, managed by Diego SIMEONE, won the UEFA Super Cup.

Playing against Chelsea, Atletico Madrid destroyed Chelsea 4-1 to win the UEFA Super Cup. A hattrick by Radamel FALCAO ensured that Diego SIMEONE's men won their second title in less than 4 months. Daniel DIAZ was an un-used substitute.

Congratulations to Diego SIMEONE and Daniel DIAZ!

Hmm i dont like Falcao(Non Argentine) that much ofcourse he is a great striker but he constantly tries to compare himself with messi and ronaldo and seriously with all due respects messi and ronaldo(I dont like him too but have to admit he is special something closer to messi and iniesta) they both r in their own league .I hope falcao dont pass messi in scoring(Fanboyism). But among non Argentine Players i personally do like cavani more. hes deadly

What i like about Simeone is that he admits he is still not experienced. Despite doing well...i know he had some not so great spells. But even before he retired i used to tell my friends that i think simeone would make a great coach. Simeone said when inter were looking into him that he is not experienced enough to coach a club like inter. As a coach in training myself i see alot of positives from him. He is also really has the old school Spirit of Argentina which i think is clearly missing in the national team..despite the results. I think if he keeps this up maybe 4-8 years down the line he would be a very solid potential candidate for the national team. Pochettino is also doing pretty well from what i observed. I think everyone looks at players but i have been keeping an eye on these guys. They have all done pretty well....even Almeyda who had lots of doubts about shows he has what it takes. The main strong point i have seen is these 3 guys clearly have exceptional motivational skills and seem to be getting better tactically as time goes on. I am not saying they are perfect but from what i have seen...from past Argentine coaches i think Simeone if he continues on this path would be exactly what argentina needs.

Congratz to Diego Simeone and Atletico fans. Falcao can beat Messi and Ronaldo for the top scorer at La Liga this season.

Cholo helped win riBer win a title as well as Estudiantes. He helped Catania avoid relegation when he took over. He is a good coach but lets not go crazy by calling to the NT in the near future. A lot of people would not like the way he plays. I personally like Cholo but lets wait some time before we look at him as a future manager.

He struggled at Racing as well. All that said, he looks like gold right now.

Guys remind me again, Simone has had alot of highs and lows in his coaching career while in argentina am I right? Even the great Bianchi was unsuccessful while in europe, so if Simone does carry atletico this season, then he would be one of the very few argentine coaches who would have succeeded outside of argentina.

Grande Cholo! What a performance by Atleti! The result should have been more severe than 4-1. Congrats Diego!
