Two Argentine players nominated for UEFA award

Two Argentine players are nominated for UEFA Best Player in Europe award.

Lionel MESSI and Sergio AGUERO are the two Argentine players nominated for the award as they made the shortlist of 32 players. MESSI won the award last season. Here is the list of players:

Xabi ALONSO (ESP) – Real Madrid CF
Mario BALOTELLI (ITA) – Manchester City FC
Jakub BLASCZYKOWSKI (POL) –Borussia Dortmund
Gianluigi BUFFON (ITA) – Juventus
Iker CASILLAS (ESP) – Real Madrid CF
Petr ČECH (CZE) – Chelsea FC
Fábio COENTRAO (POR) – Real Madrid CF
Leslie DAVIES (WAL) – Bangor City FC
Didier DROGBA (CIV) – Chelsea FC (now at Shanghai Shenhua FC)
Cesc FABREGAS (ESP) – FC Barcelona
Radamel FALCAO (COL) – Club Atlético de Madrid

The award will be handed out on August 30 when UEFA does the draw for the Champions League group stage.
