Speculation for match against Brazil

With the match against Ecuador having come and passed, it's time to look at the next match against Brazil.

Sergio AGUERO and Javier MASCHERANO both received their second yellow cards of the qualifiers against Ecuador, which means they will miss Argentina's next qualifier against Paraguay in September. With AGUERO out of that match, SABELLA might want to experiment and not start him against Brazil.

The National Team manager has already stated that it's likely impossible that MESSI, HIGUAIN and AGUERO will all be starting against Brazil. And with AGUERO missing the next qualifier, maybe this opens the door for HIGUAIN to get the automatic start.

a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1 is best against Brazil ...to give the Brazilian less space in midfield and counter....Romero...Zabaleta...fernandez...garay...clemente....Mascherano..gago...Dimaria..Sosa..Messi and Higuain up top..

I think brazil will defend deep and try and catch as on the break with with aguero suspended and macherano out we should lavezzi up front with aguin messi in front of Sosa as the playmaker

Hmm i too think as @Tonaoy said thats the players Sabella gonna choose...we cant play Brazil ..like we played against Equador...BRAZIL is BRAZIL..whatever it is how the form is they r in ,,,it dont matter they always raise their game against us..we may need more Midfielders..Augusto Fernandez is been selected...Hope he starts instead of Sosa...higly unlikely though..Whatever lineup this match is the Begining of test for Sabella...Next will be against Germany,,then Urugay and paraguay ,,,tuff games Gud sides...thats what we need....

i think this lineup would sabella choose............
--------------------GK ROMERO
---------CB FARNANDEZ CB GARAY
RB MATIAS LB ZABALETA
-------DM MASCHERANO DM GAGO
CRM DI MARIA CLM SOSA
SS MESSI

CF AGUERO
against brazil we do need more midfielders in the lineup.that`s why i choose sosa.because we do not have more good midfielders in the squad.now Augusto FERNANDEZ in the squad.but i don`t think sabella will play him in starting lineup.mejor suerte.

Lavezzi would be given a start. It would add more pace upfront. However, there might be more changes.

As for Sabella, it's his chance to prove his tactics and show the world a new way of dealing with Brazil, where victory would be a credit to his file.

Good counter attacks would destroy the Simpsons!

we need to go into this match wanting and dertermened to win and not as we do so ofturn thinking we have won before the game has kicked off.
its a mental approach that has plagued us many times over many years ie im reading we should win because they lost to mexico or advantage argentina etc etc
no team wins an actual game on paper.....

Brazil lost to Mexico 0-2. This has happened before. Same scoreline. Mexico wins, because they play a game that Brazil do not like. Whereas, Argentina has a game perfect for Brazil. More open and more space.

Argentina needs to play a good tactical game. Not a tactics from heart but from the head. Sometime back, Argentina had lost consecutive games against Brazil. Almost a regular 0-3,1-3 types of scores. That was stopped by a good tactical game in Brazil. It was a qualifier, under Basile (if I am not wrong) and it was a 0-0. Messi hit the bar and Julio Cruz missed a sitter. Jonas Gutierrez got his cap and helped a lot it defending. Then we won 1-0 in Qatar. Great goal from Messi in the 93rd minute. We have to play solid and sit back a little more. More like the game Argentina played against Germany under Maradona before the World cup. We won 1-0. Higuain scored.
