GONZALEZ, OTAMENDI and ITURBE win league

Luis GONZALEZ, Nicolas OTAMENDI and Juan ITURBE won the Portuguese league title with FC Porto on Sunday.

Heading into the weekend, Benfica needed a victory to keep their title fight alive with FC Porto. Anything but a victory for Benfica meant that FC Porto would be crowned as league champions. Benfica played against Rio Ave on Sunday and was only able to get a 2-2 draw out of the match, which meant that FC Porto, with Luis GONZALEZ, Nicolas OTAMENDI and Juan ITURBE, were Portuguese league champions!

Congratulations to GONZALEZ, OTAMENDI and ITURBE!

3 substitution appearances for Iturbe. It drives me nuts when Europe buys these kids on the cheap and just lets them rot on the bench. At least loan him out.
