INSUA scores as Sporting beats BIELSA's Bilbao

The first leg of the Europa League semi-finals were held on Thursday.

Sporting Lisbon with Emiliano INSUA in the starting line-up played against Marcelo BIELSA's Athletic Bilbao in Portugal. BILBAO took the lead until the 76th minute where Emiliano INSUA scored a headed goal which would make Roberto AYALA proud! With the score tied at 1-1, Lisbon scored 4 minutes later as they defeated Athletic Bilbao 2-1.

Diego SIMEONE's Atletico Madrid put one foot into the final as they defeated Valencia 4-2. SALVIO came on as a substitute for Atletico while COSTA played the full match for Valencia and PIATTI came on as a substitute.

I've always liked Insua, he was great in the last few weeks with Liverpool before they loan him out to Galata. And now he is being one of the key players of Sporting.

Simeone, yet again, showing what a capable manager he is. I am so pissed that he didn't get the chance with the national team just after Diego or even after Batishita !!
