Latest Argentina starting eleven from training

With three training sessions under the belt, which starting eleven do you prefer?

Argentina coach Jorge SAMPAOLI has now held three big training sessions ahead of the team’s match against Uruguay. The first was on Monday, the second on Tuesday and the third on Wednesday. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, SAMPAOLI himself stated that the starting eleven is not yet confirmed but that there were alternative options for the match.

The first training session, which was held on Monday, was a hybrid 3-4-3/3-4-2-1 formation which consisted of the following:

3-4-3/3-4-2-1 starting eleven

ROMERO; MERCADO, FAZIO/MASCHERANO, OTAMENDI; DI MARIA, BIGLIA, PIZARRO, ACOSTA; DYBALA, MESSI; ICARDI

The second one, which was held on Tuesday, was the following:

3-4-3 starting eleven Tuesday

ROMERO; MERCADO, MASCHERANO, OTAMENDI; RIGONI, BIGLIA, PAREDES, DI MARIA; ICARDI, MESSI, DYBALA

The other thing regarding the line-up is that there are rumors stating that Jorge SAMPAOLI has the second line-up should Luis SUAREZ be fit to play (which appears to be the case) for Uruguay. He is planning with that in mind.

3-4-3 starting eleven Wednesday

The third training session on Wednesday resulted in a different starting line-up. Here was the eleven in training:
ROMERO; MERCADO, FAZIO, OTAMENDI; ACUNA, BIGLIA, PIZARRO, DI MARIA; DYBALA, MESSI, ICARDI

Which of the three formations would you prefer Jorge SAMPAOLI goes with against Uruguay? The first one (on Monday, the second one (on Tuesday) or the third one (Wednesday)? Let us know by voting in the poll below!

  1. Fazio must in Masche place. Because Uruguay has alot player good on the air plus Cavani. Paredes should start with Biglia and Pizzaro come as Sub. With all due respect Biglia and Pizzaro pair will be dull and Messi and Dybala will be isolated(hope i am wrong). Instead of Rigoni i would prefer Bustos.

  2. I agree with you all but the only contradiction that I have is that maxilopez said Emiliano Rigoni is a new man. Even that he can still be in the starting line-up as long as he proves himself on the picth and do what mister professor sampaoli asks him to do. Overall football is not about new or old player it’s just the result.

  3. Paredes must play to give more fluidity to the midfield. Without a playmaker like paredes, messi will probably have to drop deep to bring the ball forward. Pizarro + biglia provide solidity in defense but doesn’t offer as much in offense.

Pizarro offer speed, technique and also better passing than Biglia. But I understand Biglia gets the nod for having more experience.

    I would go with

    Pizarro + Paredes

Di Maria — Acuna on the wings

    messi – Dybala

    Icardi

  4. in my opinion, mascherano = pizzaro but pizzaro is more skillful ,so if mascherano to be the cb then paredes should be in midfield.paredes is different from pizzaro and more offensive . both mascherano + pizzaro will be more defensive. fazio+paredes will be too slow,so either fazio+pizizaro or mascherano+ paredes.

biglia is a must ,he work well with messi and dimaria. choosing between acuna ,acosta and rigoni is difficult. but i think acuna is better because he performed quite well in sporting can be used as a striker or winger or even half a left back.rigoni is a new man not enough experience.Acosta i think he is a sub rather than top level player. DI MARIA BIGLIA PIZZARO ACUNA IS BETTER
    i prefer

    mercado fazio otamendi

    acuna biglia pizzaro dimaria

    messi dybala

    icardi

  5. I predicted same line up …… romero two are missing i thought rulli instead of romero… but it will happen soon… and i thought biglia injured and banega not eligible.. that’s why in the middle i prefered agusto and parades this is line up will play against uruguay im sure…

    romero

    ——-marcado———-fazio/mache———otamendi—–

    —dimaria——–bigilia———–pizzaro————–acuna——–

    —————–messi—————————dybala———

    ———————————icardi————————————

banega will replace pizzaro in next match…. he is not thinking about hight…. sampoli style is pressing and retain the ball… and make quick passing thats why he play biglia and banega…. they are better compare to pizzaro and pardes..

  6. I wish mister sampaoli a very good luck in his hardworking days with this national team which has resurrected by him and appears to be back in power and in control well done and hat up for you sampaoli.
On the other hand, the second training team I loveeeeeeeee it.
