Argentina U20 National Team coach Claudio UBEDA spoke about the team.
With the U20 World Cup approaching, the current Argentina U20 coach Claudio UBEDA spoke in an interview with Ataque Futbolero regarding the team, the players and more. Here’s what he had to say:
Claudio UBEDA on the players:
“We hope we won’t have any problem with the kids. An U20 World Cup has a lot of importance. The kids from the U20 team don’t have cellular phones nearby and that helps. They have to be concentrated.”
Claudio UBEDA on the U20 World Cup:
“We are sure we’re going to have a great performance at the U20 World Cup. We have grown a lot and new players will be incorporated. We are going to play against Vietnam’s U20 and U23 teams in preperation for the U20 World Cup.”
Claudio UBEDA on Lionel MESSI and the senior team:
“I’m not thinking of the senior team. I am thinking about the U20 World Cup. There should be a rule for the players to be available for the U20 team.”
“The lawyer who is handling MESSI’s case is first class.”
Regarding player selection, the word is that Independiente will not allow Ezequiel BARCO to play the U20 World Cup.
When is the tournament taking place and where and who is broadcasting.

Lautaro Martinez scored again last night with a good header from a corner kick. The kid is developing into a jewel for racing club and for Argentina hopefully in future. There is an outcry from the racing club president in contemplation to release him for the under 20 world cup next month. Really hope he does or else tapia should intervene.
I would like to see Martinez, Torres and Ponce on WC. My favourite was Maxi Romero but even without him with the three it’s good on paper too.
My favourite amongst these 3 is ponce although his game time and form for his club is a concern. Hope they can partner nevertheless 🙂
Bautista Cascini (category’97) is best of Estudiantes young players recently along Ascacibar. Last night very good game in Copa Libertadores. Foyth, Ascacibar, Rodriguez, Cascini, Cejas, Gomez – all these Estudiantes players are in right age -but Lucas Rodriguez is least impressive. Why Ubeda took him. Cascini and Cejas should be on Ubeda list.

As far they beat in these preparations Uruguay 2 times 1:0 and 2:1 and Chacarita reserves yesterday 4:1.
Barco is not a must. I would like to see Lovera in his place but Moya and Palacios of River could be good choice as well.
