Edgardo BAUZA talks DYBALA, full backs and more

19

Edgardo BAUZA took to the airways to discuss his recent trip to Europe.

Argentina National Team coach was on the radio in Argentina where he discussed his recent trip to Europe, his chat with Jose MOURINHO, the full backs for the National Team and more. Here’s what he had to say:

The players in England:

“I spoke with yesterday MOURINHO for 20 minutes. I asked him about the players and how they were doing. It was a good chat. He spoke about the present and about every single one of his players. ROJO has done well and helped give MOURINHO results when he has played as a center back for Manchester United. I didn’t push for MOURINHO to play ROMERO, hah!”

“I was able to see and chat with the majority of the coaches of the players currently on the Argentina National Team. I had coffee with Marcos ROJO and Ramiro FUNES MORI.”

The Argentine players in Europe:

“Regarding those I wasn’t able to see, I spoke to them on the phone. With this trip, it has better helped me understand the players whey travel to Buenos Aires.”

“For me, Paulo DYBALA is a player who should play 30 meters close to goal but Juventus has him playing further back.”

“FAZIO is having a very good season with AS Roma. He’s upped his level and we’re following him.”

The U20’s and full back situation:

“Yesterday, we had to watch the Argentina U20 team on the internet because it wasn’t on television. It made me very happy to watch them qualify.”

“The number of players who will get called-up for the matches against Chile and Bolivia will surely be between 20 and 30 players.”

“Today, our two left backs are Marcos ROJO and Emmanuel MAS. Nicolas TAGLIAFICO has had a very good year but in terms of world class, he’s not at that level. We’re still following him.”

Manchester City players:

“Regarding the Manchester City players, I spoke with Sergio AGUERO as well as Nicolas OTAMENDI, Pablo ZABALETA and Willy CABALLERO. One thing that’s for sure is that for the matches against Chile and Bolivia, I will call-up Sergio AGUERO.”

  1. “HAPPY VALENTINES’ DAY TO BAUZA AND HIS DARLINGS!”(In advance).
(Happy to know that you had a coffee session with Rojo darling and Funes Mori darling! Hope that more sessions will materialize! Anyway your honeymoon is going to be over by 2018 Jun – July. Good Luck till then!)

  2. KidultHood

We know that it’s your personal defeat that U-20 team qualified to WC and first of all we know you are unhappy for that reason. It’s improvisation – all the youth teams – right. But they will there finally. You’ve wrote about the team that they’ve lost the tournament yet after first defeats. So you should be more humble. Nah, you are KidultHood – it’s impossible.

Not many people had watched the last game. I think you also didn’t. They were very good. This team is not so much talented as 2007 no doubt but they can more than have showed on SUdamericano. That’s for sure. This team is on the level of Uruguay at least. We lost to them but after red card. See the first game against Uruguay. Argentina was the better team all the game. Draw but they should’ve won that game. Go and see if you didn’t saw.

    • “Argentina U20 team is bound for their third consecutive group stage exit in Korea”.

And now as always you need to anticipate facts.

  3. Tagliafico is not “world class”. Thanks for your certificate!
Rojo and Maria are the weakest links in the team, not even Romero or Higuain!
Why doesnt he even mention Ansaldi’s name, as if he doesnt exist? He doesnt dare saying that Ansaldi is also not “world class”.
He went to Europe just to have coffee with Rojo and Funes Mori!
If he had shared his ideas with Mourinho, that would be the most irritating experience Mourinho ever had! He might have cut the phone unable to bear this moron!
Will there be at least one new face in the NT as a result of your pleasure trip to Europe and China?
Higuain, Rojo, Maria, Romero, Aguero, Biglia, Funes Mori, Mas,…You will always select these players Bauza, you Coprophiliac!

  4. Bozo you have already played Dybala 100m close to our goal.as a wing, yet you are complaining for the 70 M mercy Juve gave him than yours. Why are you trying to Confuse simple facts. What you talk and do is always different.Just show us how to appropriately manage his talent to the NT,even with 30 m away from the goal.

You are very certain about the selection of the worst Arie # 9 man, the arrogant who subbed Lavezzi only to showcase his lazy and fat a** in 2014 WC final, with out forgetting to mention his worst ever run record under your tenure by awarding Paraguay their first ever win against Argie. You are right he did not do enough damages to the team and more is awaiting as he is nearing his club career zenith(his only silver line to ever be called for the national team).

Your only worthy point is about flanks as no legit candidate is raising to fill the void. It seems the likes of Rojo and Mercado will continue to rule the flank fields.

  5. “For me, Paulo DYBALA is a player who should play 30 meters close to goal but Juventus has him playing further back.” – trying to give Allegri pointers Mr. Bozo? You were the one that played Dybala as a RW, remember?

“FAZIO is having a very good season with AS Roma. He’s upped his level and we’re following him.” – But you are going to call up Funes Mori aren’t you?

“Today, our two left backs are Marcos ROJO and Emmanuel MAS. Nicolas TAGLIAFICO has had a very good year but in terms of world class, he’s not at that level. We’re still following him.” – Like Mas is world class and Rojo is Roberto Fu****g Carlos.

“One thing that’s for sure is that for the matches against Chile and Bolivia, I will call-up Sergio AGUERO.” – So however shit you play, you will get a call-up. It’s your birthright.

My goodness, how stupid a person could be!

  6. nothing les then I expected from this incompetent fool

    “I will call-up Sergio AGUERO”
    I don’t need to say anything…sigh….

“two left backs are Marcos ROJO and Emmanuel MAS but not Nicolas TAGLIAFICO”
ahem bozo both of the l.backs are poor as l.bs but as you stated
“ROJO has done well and helped give MOURINHO results when he has played as a center back”
ummmm I know this might sound radical to you but then consider him at cb and not at lb were he is poor but I’m sure you know best-as always.

“For me, Paulo DYBALA is a player who should play 30 meters close to goal but Juventus has him playing further back.”
but bozo he is playing fantastic for juv their, why change that and did you not play him as a right wing just to show us another of your cards of stupidly.

some how I’m finding bozo’s stupidity actually funny but then I realise the laugh is on us sadly and its back to the bottle to forget it all.

      • Johan was, Arigo was, Jose was (not now), Pep was (while in Barcelona)… they either invented or innovated and made football we all admired. World class does apply for coaching as well.
        .
Bauza is not a coach… but a joke that happened to Argentina.

  7. This article speaks the truth, exactly what I have been saying about Argentina football for the longest while. And the way how the team (especially the coaching staff) celebrated yesterday after Brazil and Colombia drew their game shows how far the Argentina youth system have fall, these people should have been in their hotel room thanking God Colombia and Brazil tied but instead they were in the stadium celebrating as if they won the CONMEBOL U20 championship. It was just mind boggling how the Argentina U20 team was celebrating in the stadium yesterday, you would expect this from Bolivia, Venezuela or Peru but not Argentina who should have been in a more solid position on the CONMEBOL U20 standings irrespective if they won the Championship or not. Argentina U20 team is bound for their third consecutive group stage exit in Korea.

  8. If There is no Project …(By: Lucas Casterán)

The Sub 20 Selection managed to qualify for the World Cup, but a miracle. Since the Pekerman model was cut, Argentina did not play two World Cups and in the two that did, was not even close to match what had been achieved previously. In addition, before it was a constant contribution to the Greater, which today subsists thanks to its fruits.

Argentina had a process of youth selections that, quietly, could be the envy of any country of the elite of football. And although in its moment it was used in every sense (harvest of South American and world titles and substantial contribution to the Major), the departure of Jose Néstor Pekerman, the head of the project, was the beginning of the end. Hugo Tocalli continued for some time in command, but Julio Grondona invited him to leave (asking Miguel Angel Tojo to leave, under the command of Sub 17), and from there on, the juveniles drifted . That is so, that this Saturday the Sub 20 could meet its goal to qualify for the World Cup thanks to the coffee miracle and a Brazil that could not deal with the obligation to win. But this is neither new nor isolated. To notice the deterioration, pass and see …

With Pekerman under Sub 20, Argentina won the South Americans of 1997 and 1999 and came second in 1995 and 2001; And in terms of World Cups, he was crowned champion in Qatar 1995, Malaysia 1997 and Argentina 2001 (in Nigeria 1999 fell in the eighth, the worst result in the Pekerman era). As a result, he was chosen to succeed Marcelo Bielsa in the Major and began to delegate driving to his collaborators. With Hugo Tocalli, the Albiceleste won the 2003 South American , came third in 2005 and second in 2003 and also was fourth in the Emirates World Cup 2003 and champion in Canada 2007; Francisco Ferraro command the team in the World Cup that was obtained in Holland in 2005 . Anyway, the achievements are as important as the players who end up consolidating in the Major and there were many who achieved it , like Sorín, Samuel, Cambiasso, Riquelme, Aimar, D’Alessandro, Saviola, back in time; Or Messi, Zabaleta, Mascherano, Di Maria, Agüero, Biglia and Banega, in the current squad that now commands Edgardo Bauza.

Since the departure of Tocalli in 2007 and the lack of a project to replace the previous one, everything fell apart. Argentina left last in the Haxagonal Final of the South American of 2009 with Sergio Batista like technician and in the one of 2013, organized in the country and with Marcelo Trobbiani in control, did not even play it . Checho had a rematch in 2009 and put the team in the 2011 Colombia World Cup, although Walter Perazzo replaced him after his assumption in the Major and reached the quarterfinals in the World Cup. In terms of results, the consecration in the South American of 2015 with Humberto Grondona of DT was hardly an oasis since in that year’s world, in New Zealand, did not pass the group phase . As for the contribution to the Major, only Lamela (2011, now injured), Kranevitter (2013) and Correa (2015) have been able to gain a place on the list, at least.

To all this, the improvisation continued. Claudio Ubeda was chosen as coach of a Sub 20 that was acefala much of the year and his election brought controversy by the forms. Previously 44 youth teams had been submitted and the man chosen had not been a member of any of them. With the qualification to the World Cup of South Korea (to be played between May 20 and June 11) sealed – miraculous, but sealed -, the Sub 20 Selection will greatly improve if you want the third of the post Pekerman era to be The loser and a good time can show a better image . Of course, the future remains uncertain. Juveniles are no stranger to the confusion in AFA and by the time the U20 World Cup is played, there will surely be new commanding officers who could quietly take another helm. As has been happening lately, on the other hand. Do not be a thing that the ship, which has already left a storm, will sink again …

The players who achieved continuity in the Selection and that were in the Sub 20 during the process of Pekerman :
Juan Pablo Sorín (1995), Walter Samuel (1997), Esteban Cambiasso (1997/1999), Juan Román Riquelme (1997), Pablo Aimar (1997), Leandro Cufré (1997), Diego Placente (2003), Carlos Tevez (2003), Nicolás Burdisso (2001), Fabricio Coloccini (2001), Maxi Rodríguez (2001), Andrés D’Alessandro (2001), Javier Saviola (2001), Javier Mascherano (2007), Ezequiel Garay (2005), Lucas Biglia (2005), Fernando Gago (2005), Lionel Messi (2005), Sergio Agüero (2005/2007), Sergio Romero, Angel Maria (2007).

  9. “Tagliafico is one of the players that in recent times has come to understand what it is like to play in Independiente. When he arrived he thought more about attacking than defending, but now he is much more settled. He is a solid fullback despite the fact that occasionally he continues to go too far with the attack. During the matches one learns to interpret when are the best moments to let go and he has shown a constant evolution in that regard. If they decided to give him the captaincy it is because he has earned it. He is young but the captain’s armband does not depend on age alone but is gained through demonstrations of leadership and commitment. In some decisive moments it has become evident that he has a lot of personality”.

  10. “Today, our two left backs are Marcos ROJO and Emmanuel MAS. Nicolas TAGLIAFICO has had a very good year but in terms of world class, he’s not at that level. We’re still following him.”

How in the world Mas is better than Tagliafico?! Is Mas world class? Or Maidana whom he is planning to call up? Bauza is something else…

… “One thing that’s for sure is that for the matches against Chile and Bolivia, I will call-up Sergio AGUERO.”

Sigh. Business as usual. Status Quo. Rojo, Kun, Biglia, etc. Kid should be happy
