  1. 4-4-2 is good option but with those players it wont work(as mentioned in the link below).
    Mascherano, Banega and Vazquez midfield will be very slow. We will struggle to counter attack. We need fast energetic players in midfield, kind of Pereyra, Lanzini.etc, who can attack and defend.

  2. Very good analysis by the writer indeed. I always liked 4-4-2 and thought that it would suit better Argentina than 4-2-3-1 and even 4-3-3, especially currently. I also believe that 3-5-2 or even Bielsa’s 3-3-3-1 would suit Argentina too. I really can’t understand why almost every manager prefers 4-2-3-1 nowadays. We need two strikers upfront, as an albiceleste fan i always liked the idea of a classic 10, a grity and compound midfield and the lines between defence and midfield, midfield and attack to be close to each other in order to give more balance and fluidity of the game.
