Edgardo BAUZA held a press conference on Monday night and took the chance to confirm the starting line-up for the match against Paraguay on Tuesday night.

BAUZA confirmed the line-up and spoke about the team, the fans and more. Here’s what he had to say:

“The team will be: ROMERO; MERCADO, DEMICHELIS, MUSHACCHIO, ROJO; BANEGA, MASCHERANO, DI MARIA; AGUERO, GAITAN; HIGUAIN”

“This group always goes out to give it their all. But there are situations where the result just isn’t there. There’s self-criticism, we’ve analyzed things that we did well and the things we didn’t do so well. It’s going to be a tough match, your typical World Cup Qualifier but we’ll do the things to win.”

“It’s always good to have a full stadium, the full support of the fans, like we’re going to have, it’s added motivation for us. I think it’s great that the people have the chance to watch the National Team and a World Cup Qualifier at that.”

“We have to possess the ball, we can’t afford to lose it in the middle of the pitch. We chose to stay here so that the players can get a proper night’s sleep. The changes were a must and those coming in have the capabilities of having a good match. We have confidence in them.”

  1. I don’t feel confident going into this match with Demichelis. I’d rather have Rojo over Demichelis as a CB. Maybe Bauza wants to see blunders before realizes that Demichelis is a waste of a spot in the squad. Leadership, my ass Micho is too old for the NT. Although I’m optimistic about winning, I’m losing faith in Bauza’s leadership. He seem to be fazed by the fact that he can hang with the millionaires in his camp.

  2. The good thing is that banega is starting. Wish dybala was starting instead of kun or higuain to add that extra creativity.
    And what else can we say about DemiCareless lol

  3. if this is 442 then it could be ok(ish) but still rojo, di maria and kun arghhhhhh

    ROMERO;
    MERCADO, DEMICHELIS, MUSHACCHIO, ROJO;
    DI MARIA;BANEGA, MASCHERANO, GAITAN;
