well i expected nothing from this so call parts of a team and they delivered exactly that.
as it stands only 2-3 are quietly knocking on the n/t squad door, the rest at the moment are out of their depth.

i said on rullis horror mistake, what he does after it will show us what he is made of and he stood up after it big time, id have no problem him being the the 23 man squad.
cor is not ready for the 23 and if sim cant get him motivated that im not sure what will, their is no doubt he can be talented but at the moment seems to lack that “footballing brain” to make him stand out from many players like him. he is still young and im not at all writing him off but their are others who should be in the 23 before him at the moment.

Apparently, Bauza is considering Buffarini, Cervi and Pratto.

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

Cervi? I like that. Please instead of DI Maria

      Buffarini – It’s high time

      Pratto? Joke

      1. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

Two steps forward, one step back…

        1. Profile photo of miskanmiskan

why?? so far we have 90 millions or kilos striker..but just doing useless

          1. Profile photo of chalzchalz

            Funny dude… 90 kilos striker

    2. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

I had a feeling he might consider Buffarini given their time together in San Lorenzo. He is a good player IMO,probably better than Mercado, at least in attacking sense.

    3. Profile photo of vikvik

Not heard of buffarini till you guys mentioned him today.
Need to look him up and check out some you tube clips.
      Any comparisons?

      1. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

He is a quick, in fact very quick, attack minded right-back. Not sure whom I can compare him to though.

  3. Profile photo of San IsidroSan Isidro

And Correa is a LONG way away from being NT material…

  4. Profile photo of vikvik

    Well that’s just great!
Another no.9 off the conveyor belt who has his boots on on the wrong foot!
What we are looking at are individuals with assumed talent clearly knocked for confidence or just plain starved of it. Who also look unfit and bothered.
Youngsters who clearly have got minds elsewhere.
What I’ve seen from these boys were testimonial performance and attitude.
Apart from Rulli’s huge error for the 2nd Portuguese goal, I am very confident and pleased with his overall performance. We have a proper no.1 in the making and i am confident he’s going to be as good as Neuer and De Gea.
As for the rest of them – theyve not done themselves any favours.

  5. Profile photo of San IsidroSan Isidro

These youngsters suck…Especially Riulli who had an awful tournament….Who the hell is calling for this stiff to start over Romero??? The guy SUCKS!

    1. Profile photo of vikvik

Every top keeper has been shown up with blunders. It’s just the way it is. But Rulli did not let that phase him

    2. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

All of the youngsters had some mistakes because they are youngsters. But it needs to separate the weat from the chaff.

Clearly the trio Rulli, Ascacibar and Gomez our future NT. I hope nera future.

2 sort: Soto, Gianetti, Pavon, Lo Celso, MArtinez?

Correa is individual case. We know about his talent but question is which way he gives direction that. Individual show or play for team.

      chaff: Calleri, Espinoza, Magallan

      1. Profile photo of vikvik

I can understand some folks appreciation for ascacibar. But I am not quite convinced. He looks ok in parts. Very industrious and puts himself about and is available to his colleagues. I give him that. Maybe I am expecting too much. Given his age and hopefully with the right move in 2 years he can be taught to do the simpler things rather than go for bold passes. He did lose the ball a fair bit trying at times to do the impossible. However will give him the benefit of doubt.
If I see Calleri though as our future no. 9 I will have a cardiac episode!

        1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

Expectation to Ascacibar is: he will be Masche +. It’s the best thing. While reminds so much players like Mascherano or Gattuso in defence by his stamina still is a player who may add something in attack unlike Masche. It’s our first chance to have such kind of No.5.

wrong passes will eliminated when he will grow I think. Don’t forget he is just since february in senior football.

  6. Profile photo of msi75msi75

What could you expect? Olarticoechea never coached before the tournament… With that, everything is being said. Then Calleri…

With that being said, the crop of youngsters is, quite bluntly, not good enough. They are without any doubt quite inferior to the ones in 2008. Outside of Ascacibar and maybe Gomez, i don’t see much in short term, which means we will have to deal with the same old again…

  7. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

Rhomb like trunk of future formation

  8. Profile photo of RichardRichard

The Olympic football tournament was similar to the previous youth tournament (world cup U21 in New Zealand). A major disappointment.

Rulli and Ascacibar will make it to the national team. Gianetti and Gomez might make it. Correa is overrated just like Vietto.

Hopefully Bauza will guide us to the WC otherwise we have nothing to look forward to for the next few years.

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

Still must realize that just 1 lacking goal to make quarter final. One goal. No matter against Portugal, Algieria or Honduras. 1 goal. So it’s hard not to blame Calleri.

  9. Profile photo of ClacKamasClacKamas

son of biach!! bunce of in olympic like bunce of imbecile were running here there at metalife stadium
    urggggg faaakkkkkkk….

  10. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

Correa was bad only in first game. THe more he play for a team the more he looks like great crack player. I hope he will fight after No.10 of NT with Dybala in future.

    1. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

You see Dybala as a 10? More like a 9.5, no?

      1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

I mean only number on T-shirt;)

        1. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

          OK haha

  11. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

They are people who want to strike off Correa after one lost tournament and they do not want strike off some shitty senior players after a lot of tournaments

    1. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

Right now I would take both Rulli and Correa to the senior team, although Correa would have to earn his place in the starting line-up.

  12. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

No surprise here, Olarticoechea is not an experienced or even a talented coach, plus he had very little time to prepare. Also, this was not a team that inspires confidence, the caliber of players was subpar with the exception of Rulli. Calleri – pathetic, Correa – flashes of talent but still a very long way to go. Ascacibar hopefully will mature. Gomez – might turn into something, we’ll see. Cuesta did not impress. Others like Gianetti, Soto need to work harder.

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

Still wonder what if Simeone started every game instead Calleri. Can’t believe couldn’t be better.

      1. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

You can’t do worse than Calleri! Higuain looks like a Batigol compared to him. At least Pipa scored before the finals.

  13. Profile photo of Antonio MontanaAntonio Montana

Remember you guys this is our second choice u-23 team

    Vietto. Icardi. Dybala

    Parcedes lanzini

    Mammana In defense
then add three national team players like mascherano , pastore and Aguero for example.
.. You would beat Brazil for gold… It’s a shame that people don’t talk about how is isn’t our best u23 team and how We didn’t recall any national team players (Cuesta iS not national team .. Sorry)

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

It’s not even about B team. Sometimes two idiots may squander all. The first is Calleri, the second – Olarticoechea (because he play with Calleri every game).

If they were made no chances then I would understand talking about A team but they had a lot of chances. Most of them missed Calleri. He is main culprit.

      1. Profile photo of CsabalalaCsabalala

Individually we are the best team of the whole olympic games(even with this team), but our players are so immature. Portugal looks like a professional team. (with 20-21 years old guys), our youngsters like street footballers.

      2. Profile photo of EnganCheEnganChe

Remember how Olarticoechea said he came to spoil Brazil’s party? Idiot! Although, Brazil may still commit their own harakiri…

  14. Profile photo of Saugata RoySaugata Roy

Correa, calleri ha ha… the superstars … if these guys play for ARg NT, arg will never win any trophy

    1. Profile photo of CsabalalaCsabalala

Correa is very young and talented, but have to grow up.

    2. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

All what Correa need is to play for a team. He gas great talent. And he was good today despite the penalty.

  15. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

    Calleri’s losts were decided indeed

    1. Profile photo of CsabalalaCsabalala

      And Correa’s penalty miss!

  16. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

    Hahaha what a game

  17. Profile photo of david carvajaldavid carvajal

I guess we’re used to losing.. so no biggie

  18. Profile photo of tmisellatitmisellati

winnig trophies need spending money and years of planning
we can not win any thing this way

  19. Profile photo of RichardRichard

It is over. Just not enough quality.
Without the likes of Dybaka, Icardi, Paredes etc. we had no chance from the start. Losing to Honduras makes us look pretty bad in the world. Sad.

  20. Profile photo of CsabalalaCsabalala

Joke…weakest NT in the history without a doubt, cannot dominate against such shit teams like Algeria and Honduras ? What the hell ? And Brazil will win this hole shit i bet…

  21. Profile photo of Saugata RoySaugata Roy

Portugals second goal is the culprit

  22. Profile photo of MafiosoMafioso

What a pathetic way to get eliminated! Manager is the culprit.

  23. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

They are playing good in attack. Just bit of luck

    1. Profile photo of CsabalalaCsabalala

      6 matches without luck ? Nah…

      1. Profile photo of MafiosoMafioso

2 penalty miss in 6 match is no bad luck.

  24. Profile photo of Antonio MontanaAntonio Montana

    Calleri is 💩💩💩💩

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

including friendlies it is his 6 horrible game. And game by game worse

  25. Profile photo of RichardRichard

Rulli our savior twice. We can now safely say West Ham has spent their money in the worst way. Calleri is a waste. Simeone please otherwise we go home.

  26. Profile photo of Joshua NickalsonJoshua Nickalson

Our future lies with Rulli… Fantastic save – both the header and penalty.

  27. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

    Rulli redeem his mistake

  28. Profile photo of david carvajaldavid carvajal

Calleri is either nervous or really bad.. not sure what to think

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

I can’t belive. Correa dribbling to and fro in penalty box

  29. Profile photo of IstiaqueIstiaque

O Calleri o Calleri, if we draw or lose today you will be the man to blame! Another missed chance!

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

a lot of chances without a goal

      1. Profile photo of niklucky02niklucky02

I think calleri will eventually get a goal. everything to watch for in second half.

  30. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

    Again th fucking idiot

  31. Profile photo of IstiaqueIstiaque

Now vega with another missed chance. We might regret later

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

      Calleri was there too

    2. Profile photo of niklucky02niklucky02

Vega tried his best from back of his foot whereas calleri is showing that he can carry on HiguAIN’S legacy.

  32. Profile photo of IstiaqueIstiaque

15 minutes and Calleri already missed a great chance!

    1. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

      He is just idiot

  33. Profile photo of niklucky02niklucky02

    Any link ?

  34. Profile photo of GonzaloGonzalo

If Honduras will park bus from beginning we are in trouble.
